  1. Itmwould be awesome and would force the pilots to take more seriously the SAM Threat.
  2. You said it yourself. SB Pro Pe it is not neithers pretends to be a Combined Arms Sim. It is an armour simulator and on that field it is not good, it is just the very best. I am a SB Pro Pe player and while really looking forward for Combined Arms and its future improvements, I know very well that on the armour warfare role it would not even make shadow to SB Pro Pe. maybe in the future we will be able to have a real Digital battlefield with high accurate air, armour and infantry warfare, but at this moment while DCS is the uncontested king of the air combat sims, Steel Beasts pro pe is the unrivalled Kaiser of the battleground. :D
  3. Germany has no Challengers, not here, not on real life.
  4. For me the F-4 Phantom is the very best option. It would be the perfect counterpart for the upcoming DCS Mig-21. But it is not only that that it is making it perfect for DCS. It is an air superiority fighter and it is a tactical attack fighter. It has a naval version that would allow us to fly carrier operations. It is a plane that can carry an incredibly large inventary of diferent weapons. it is an airplane that has been used by many air forces all around the world so many people can get happy flying its own air force coulours (non fictional). But most important, there is a HUGE ammount of non classified data about this aircrafts its weapons and systems as well as its performance avalaible. It is a beautiful aircraft with an impressive service record but that has been unlucly enough to not being properly reproduced by any simulator yet. Here is a nice link with a lots of info for the F-4 Phantom. Cockpit layouts, and many extras http://aviation.watergeek.eu/f4j-panel.html I think this is the airplane we do really need next
  5. ARMA II is not a "simulator" and surely is quiet arcade related to armoured or mechanizwd warfare. If you want an armour simulator, try Steel Beasts Pro Pe. Less than that is just a game or arcade
  6. I would want to buy a gift copy of Combined Arms (when released) to a friend but as stated on the first post, I would like that serial number associated to his account instead mine. Is there any way to purchase gift copies so they are incoprorated into the account of the person receiving the gift? My friend has already an ED costumer and has his own account. Thanks
  7. Virtual squadrons in multiplayer flights make extensive use of TARS and its frecuencies capabilities. Sometimes we have up to 8 to 10 different frecuencies per mission according to the different packages, flights and units such it is in real life. Going back to a non TARS TS enviroment is like going back to windows 2000, at least for the virtual squadrons playing with large number of players and complex missions. Would reduce the inmersion factor a lot.
  8. We do need a radio interface for all ground units so the player on that unit can select frecuencies as we do in the A-10C or the Ka-50. This way we can use TARS. Without this I am afraid that unless Headspace gets real creative, in mission with CA human ground units, A-10C and Ka-50 pilots would have to disable TARS and fly without it in order to whisper to the ground units the old fashioned way. Just a "generic radio interface" that can be used in any ground unit even something like this where we can dial the frecuency
  9. Have you ever heard about TARS? My post is about the possibility of using TARS and frecuencies instead going back to whispers or morse code
  10. For ground operations it is imperative that mission commander can draw the mission graphics such phase lines, coordination points and all the NATO and Russian symbols used on such maps. Mission commander should be able to draw new graphics and send them via datalink to own side maps. Ground operations are based on such graphics and information and ordes are relayed with them. Please this is important
  11. :helpsmilie: Radios, radios... I need to know about radios in Combined Arms. Will we have some kind of radio interface to dial frequencies so it can be used with TARS or not. This may now seem trivial but without the option to use TARS with it to comunicate with airplanes and other vehicles, the final product would not be so much perfect or attractive in multiplayer missions. Please let us know. Does it have some kind of radio interface where to dial frecuencies? :helpsmilie:
  12. What about the radios? Will the ground vehicles or JTAC have some kind of radio interface that can be used with TARS? The way TARS works, we need to be able to select the same frecuencies as the airplanes or helos to talk with them.
  13. I really can't wait more for it. Besides airplanes, tanks are my second love and I simply need this right now!!! This is going to make a true revolution to the way we combat in DCS. Wait till the ground units ar commanded by smart human players. :D I already posted this some time ago but I am really interested in knowing if Combined Arms units are going to have some kind of "radio interface" I say this because I am sure most people is using TARS and ground players would need to have some kind of radio interface to select frecuencies in order to talk with airplanes or other ground units. I hope there is one radio interface even a generic one. By the way. THANKS A LOT ED TEAM!!! you guys are just BRILLIANT!!!!:thumbup::thumbup:
  14. Thanks for the tip. Which is the file I have to open? Where it is located? In my case I have been flying the A-10 since the very first public Beta and for me this is just the "same aircraft" "same career" and new interface thus I would like to keep my records. If everytime there is a simulator version change we have to start from scratch, what would be the point to keep records and logbook? Anyway this is really a personal option and in my case I would like to keep the data.
  15. Furia

    Turboprop

You are missing Gliders, Powered lift, lighter than Air, Blimps.........:D
  16. I would really love to be able to import my A-10C logbook. Have some nice records and medals there that I will not like to lose. What is the point to keep a logbook if we cannot conserve it even if we are flying the very same airplane? How can we save and export that logbook into the new A-10C in DCS World? Any tips would be welcomed.
  17. Are there any plans to integrate some kind of radio interface for Combined Arms? I mean that ground units have their own Radio interface where to select specific frecuencies and so. I cannot imagine flying the A-10 without TARS or at least as in some other post was proposed an specific ICV radio. So if I am a ground JTAC i have the chance to contact the A-10 or Ka-50 pilots that are using TARS by means of a voice radio channel. Since TARS models the operation of the aircraft radios, I guess the ground units would need some kind of "radio" interface to select frecuencies and make voice coms using TARS. Has this issue been taken into account? Does Combined Arms incorporate some kind of radio interface to use? I am really looking forward for CA, but if it does not incorprorate its own radio, will force all players to fly without TARS in order to allow voice comms with ground units, wich would kill a lot of the inmersion of the sim. :joystick:
  18. He didn't mention wich year or century :D
  19. And do not forget Tornado, a very nice sim from the early 90's wher you can fly any seat. :pilotfly:
  20. Yeah, just tried to test it MP and it is not working. :( Would be a great enhancement for MP missions. Lets hope this can be incorporated in some future
  21. Having this possibility working would be a revolution in scenario editing. I thought this option was only avalaible for IA, i will try it into MP and see what happnens. Would be awesome. I would like to ask ED to consider also addin the possibility that aircraft remember on wich airport/FARP they were when the pilot disconnected, and if a new pilot takes this aircraft, he will find it in the new location. Example. i take an A10 and fly from Besaln to Batumi. i diaconnect and 10 minutes later of mission running, another pilot connects and takes same aircraft. He should find that very airplane in Batumi instead having it magically warped in Beslan again. This would be a great tool in dynamic sceneries. Shabo I wil try to reproduce what you say.
  22. Awesome work. This is a must have. Vielen Danke!!!
  23. Hi. I am creating a large coop mission involving A-10 and KA-50, where the action is going to be moving away from the initial starting point, to another piont about 150 NM away. This is an MP mission that is expected to last up to 8 hours and where players will connect and disconnect from MP session. I would like to have the option that the helicopters that are initially placed to spawn in one airport, after the capture of a FARP, they spawn there. That is one player takes off from an airport, makes its mission but instead retourning to the same airport, he lands in one FARP and logs off from MP session. i would like to make that a new player joining the session and selecting that very helicopter, finds himself in the FARP instead on the airport again. Would it be possible?
  24. Sorry to refloat this thread but we are in real need to find a solution for removing the multiplayer messages from the server so we make sure ALL players do not receive them. Is there any known and effective solution for this?
