3 monitor limit bei nvidia!

To the devs: Very nice suprise and great work by the way =) Just to add my two cents: The upgrade is 20$, I mean come on 20 bucks. That´s nothing for the engine upgrade and all the other features which give endless hours of fun. So if they would lift my dcs a 10 to direct x13 in couple of years I would be very very happy, just to pay for an upgrade instead for a new version. But even the full version is just 40$ which is a bargain in my eyes. It really is. Check out EA with FIFA: Every year a complete new version with minimal gfx upgrade. Then again remember the amount of people buying a high fidelity sim versus the number of players buying a first person shooter. Devs work hard with love for their work (as we can see with the all the little details modeled) and they need money for living. They are the good guys so they deserve our money :-) Ah and check out the price of steel beast pro (100$). So nothing to be concerned about here. =) Cheers boris

also zu den youtube videos muss man sagen, dass die meisten mit fraps im replay modus aufgenommen wurden: d.h. ein track wird mit 1/4 der geschwindigkeit abgespielt und von fraps aufgezeichnet. Der Rechner kann die geringe Geschwindigkeit gut rendern. dann wird in einem 2. schritt das video mit der 4 fachen Geschwindigkeit zusammengeschnitten, um auf original-geschwindigkeit zu kommen. Ruckeleffekte gibt es somit keine mehr. sogar wenn das ursprungsvideo nur 15 frames hatte, hast du in dem youtube video nachher 60 fps. :smartass: Diesen Verzerreffekt hat man mehr oder weniger bei allen games (bfbc2, rift, crysis, lockon, tdu2). Ein Problem, welches Du selbst beheben kannst, ist das VRAM-Limit, welches bei Karten mit nur je 1,5GB leicht gesprengt wird: Anti Aliasing (AA) ausmachen, dann hat man aber leider Treppeneffekt. schau mal genau hin bei den youtube vids, wo jemand mit der hand-kamera hinter einem triple-setup steht (egal welches game), sind die ränder IMMER verzerrt. Das einzig gute setup wäre ein stark gecurvter screen oder eine leinwand mit mehreren beamer als quellen von der rückseite sowie die entsprechende software die die kanten aligned (5000 Euro +). ich bin selbst total enttäuscht und meine freundin langt sich schon mittlerweile an den kopf (meine Monitor Ära 2011: 27" LG monitor, dann 3x 23" lg monitor (für das triple screen setup), 27" 120hz monitor und seit 4 wochen einen 30" monitor). Ich hab halt gerne mind 60 fps bei jedem game und es nervt einfach, wenn bei dcs a10 beim start/landung oder wenn ich tgp und mav seeker on habe, die fps auf <30 gehen, das killt dann das ganze feeling. oder wenn ich alt-f1 drücken muss, damit das tolle gerenderte cockpit die gpu nicht ausbremst. :cry: es ist einfach ein riesenunterschied ob ein game mit 60fps oder 30 läuft. schade, dass die gtx 580 momentan wieder im preis gestiegen sind, da muss man wohl noch bis zur next-gen gpu warten. momentan ist ein aufrüsten einfach zu kostspielig für die leistung (fast gleicher preis für identische leistung seit 1 Jahr).

prinizpiell ist die Konfig einer SLI-GTX 480 Konfig richtig für 3 Monitore, da ist NVIDIA genau so gut wie ATI. Das Ruckeln ist leider die Limitierung der Grafikkarten bei dem Simulator. Kurz gesagt: nichtmal ein Tri-GTX-580 Gespann kann dcs-a10 auf full details mit 60fps bei einer auflösung von 3x 1920x1080 darstellen (damit meine ich in einer Campaign-Mission mit vielen aktiven und rauchenden Bodentargets, nicht aufs Meer rausgeflogen) Das bedeutet entweder musst Du die Auflösung verkleinern oder die Details herunterschrauben. Bei den Optionen kannst Du auch 1 Monitor mit einer Auflösung von 6000 (irgendwas) x 1080 einstellen. Dann wird das Spiel auf die Größe der 3 Monitore gezoomt. Wenn Du im Spiel dann ein erweitertes field of view haben möchtest, musst du wieder herauszoomen. Diese Lösung ist zwar gut für die FPS, allerdings wirst Du feststellen, dass das Bild auf den seitlichen Monitoren verzerrt rüberkommt (insbesondere, wenn Du die A-10 in Schräglage bringst, oder wenn der Kontrollturm des Flughafens rechts neben dir steht und er auf einem der seitlichen Monitore dargestellt wird). Deshalb bin ich von 3 Monitoren wieder auf 1 Monitor zurückgegangen...

i also have an i7 920 (D0) and will wait for ivy bridge to arrive. Most important thing will be overclocking capabilities due to the reduced size. (> 5GHZ) Or one could buy a sandy bridge cpu right now and just change the CPU next year (ive bridgy and sandy bridge both use socket 1155). For graphic card, right now is the worst time to buy a new one. NVIDIA Gfx card´s prices increase, since the new generation will arrive in Q1/2012 and ATI is also not sure whether to release this year or not. Best bet IMO will be to buy a top-model ivy bridge next year together with a gtx 680 (single or sli) Greetings Boris

hi there, i would go for a better gfx-card. probably a gtx 570 and buy a second one in early 2012 when prices are dropping. Also for the price go for 16gb of ram (if you can afford it). I wouldnt do any flight sims without track ir or a good hotas system. probably the x52 standard version would be ok too. and hey... have fun with this great sim :) boris the rest of your hardware is nice =)

I too noticed some kind of fps-impact but i was still very good to play. Server crashed twice though. ;) check out the TAD... Bestest event since the release of this sim =)

Why would you Not try it without the software? Win7 should recognize the different inputs from the x52 by itselft. Since you don't Need any macros this is the best Option i would suppose...

I bought the very first beta last year, which had Nevada included. BUT with the new engine included even I would pay for it since it's not only a map upgrade anymore! Now you may throw (small) stones at me :p Besides, apart from the niche-type of product as dcs-a10 is, think of any other game where you got such an impressive update and compatibility patches for free.
