rwr key mapping problem good evening, I have encountered the following problem with the fine F5 module: I cannot correctly switch on the RWR system by mapping a key. When I map the power key (RWR Indicator Control button) to a key, it just lits as long as I press the key. when I release the key, the rwr goes off at once. is this a bug or is there a workaround? switching keys didnt help so far... kind regards boris

GTX1080 who is buying it?
scheffchen replied to hannibal's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Great posts, skate. You explained it very well. It is totally true that increasing the pixel density (and/or fps) it's just maths. Since the new gpu increase performance by the typical 25% compared to the real successor (980ti vs 1080), no miracles can be expected. Everything else is just a dream. Again 980 users can upgrade to 1080, 970 to 1070 and both will be happy with the increased performance. But as soon as you increase pixel output per second, this will decrease for sure. If you buy demanding displays you need to buy the bestest gpu and will still struggle with high framerates. I have learned this the hard way, via triple screen setups (2011) 1600x1200 resolution (around 2010) and hmd (dk2 & cv1). I am now playing on a monitor in a somewhat mainstream resolution. I get great fps on any games with high settings. In short: better stick with mainstream hardware and you will have a satisfying gaming experience.. Everything else will make your life complicated (software setups, bugs, expensive hardware upgrades). Greetings Boris -
Motion sickness In cv1 is nearly as bad as dk2. Probably that's it for me and VR. :-(

you are misunderstanding this: Wearing a hawaii-shirt and flip-flops is his signature. He wears that nearly anytime. Something like a fashion-footprint. Like Steve Jobs who has worn sneakers, blue-jeans and a black polo-neck nearly all the time.

Of course it doesn't work just yet. It is not fixed. So no work around or whatever gibberish can help. Some expectations of some people have quite descended...

Gainward gtx980ti golden sample. No problems at all. Bought it 10 days ago when all of a sudden my old card died ... Ill bite in my ass when pascal comes out, but there was no other Option...

Well. Now you have time to rethink your statement. I am pleased that ED agrees In how important that topic is. You can learn from this for your life: Solving the nature of a problem > quick fixing the symptoms Best regards Boris

Ok I've decided not to wait for pascal
scheffchen replied to Jateu's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
please be patient, as I try to be ;) Pascal: stacked hbm NV Link dual gpu cards (hopefully soon) Gameworks VR (1 card per eye) Gameworks VR SLI (2 cards per eye). Then I can die in peace. -
Should I buy a gtx980ti for upgrade and Rift CV1
scheffchen replied to Jateu's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
it could actually be true that pascal is delayed... but you´ll never know. I would surely wait for CV1 to appear with first benchmarks for gtx 980ti and probably pascal.. then decide again. buying a gtx 980ti now does not make sense: If pascal appears together with CV1, you´re sad, and if not - then you can still buy a 980ti which will be cheaper by then. Maybe dcs 2 will be in a fair "post-alpha" state also at that point... -
Should I buy a gtx980ti for upgrade and Rift CV1

wait for pascal! greets boris -
Everyday complains. But nowhere an official answer. Sad, isnt it?
-
Pascal will be out until May. So we will have right about enough graphic power. Yeah
-
thank you very much, SNoopy! Greetings Boris

Thanks for the link. I'm all thrilled. Ha- I bet that nvidia will come with their new pascal before cv1 delivers. So I won't fall for this and buy a gtx980ti now. Super excited. This is the beginning of a dream since I watched lawnmower man as a child.

I want a working flir and no compromise. Unless then i wont buy any other modules or campaigns or maps or whatever. And if it takes more money - who cares? This sim is by far too cheap anyways. If it takes more time - so what? Fixing flir should have been top priority (bs2, a10c, CA) because it is broken since a10 beta and BS1. Broken! Same with see-through, respectively radar-through mountains and forests of AI units. This is CORE so it should have worked from the beginning. I love this sim by far too much, and a since ED is the only company producing a military SIM with so much effort for tiny details (just look at the cbu mechanics), I am absolutely positive that a working flir is within range.
-
You are wrong and this is not true. Most of the ppl. want what´s necessary for a SIMULATION- a truely simulated flir. Since this is a flight simulator with realistic flight model, weapons, radar, navigation, and weather. Why accept a cheap trade-off for a very very very core element of modern warfare: Heat signature based air to ground resp. ground to ground combat. Re-think of it. I would gladely pay for a dcs-world 3 or a-10c version 2 with enhanced imaging! (As ppl. already did with blackshark and flaming cliffs - remember?).
-
Not true. And you know it. Your campaign would also benefit from a working flir, so please reconsider your post..
-
Totally true. Not having a working flir kills the whole tgp / cas idea. ARMA or SB had it for years.

Russian Air Force Photos and Video (NO DISCUSSION)

Nice pictures of su 30 factory. Sorry if repost, didnt find anything. http://englishrussia.com/2014/09/30/awesome-production-of-su-30/2/ -
but wasnt this quite always a problem since the a10-beta? TGP and Mav images need extra GPU-computing of the displayed environment (like a second viewport). Hence the fps-drop. And if zoomed out, the field-of-view that needs to be rendered is bigger, so zooming out may cause extra fps-drops.. I thought wags mentioned this some very long time ago...

Great trailer! Thank you very much.

Well well what a nice info. That convinced me, I´m going for the Jetseat =) Regards Boris

Dear Andre, I am building an obutto racing / flight cockpit, consisting a couple of transducers (buttkickers) at the frame, seat and pedals. I am still not sure, wether to use the jet-seat too or if this will be unnecessary. generally I am missing a feature list of your software and the price. Maybe it would be helpful to put these informations (feature, q&a, price) on the first page and on your homepage? So basically your software does the same for DCS as simvibe from simxperience.com does for racing titles, correct? How many transducers are supported so far? Regards Boris

Place it on kickstarter. I'm in.

+1 ! It is a great privilege to fly and therefore we should bleed and suffer and not make a bargain. At least our bank status. ;) Seriously: for instance at steam or key selling webshops I tend to ignore really low priced products because "they must lack something or they wouldn't be THAT cheap". If you release dcs2 with increased frame-rates, better visibility and overall performance (hopefully correct flir) the price should go up to 80 or 100 dollars! :D
