  1. So for me....not a BIG difference. But there is definety "something". When i fly WITH the mod, i get slightly motion sick (not really sick) as when i first startet out with VR years ago. When i fly WITHOUT the mod, i don´t get this slight fuzzyness. So in my opinion, when people say its placebo....it´s not. For me not a huge difference, but as many of you allready said, there is "something" but its hard to describe btw: just used the simple method from OP - not more! Varjo Aero user!
  2. @dburne same here Do you experience any differences since the last update (DCS + Varjo Base)?? What settings give you best results at the moment? Still tweaking here ..... Cheerz from Austria!
  3. Does it give us (at the moment) significant better results when running lower PPD and upscaling? Lets say for example with NIS or inside NVidia Control Panel? Me personally - i also agree with you @Supmua i prefer to play in higher res (at the current state) before we get motion reprojection, what i really hope
  4. Good evening pilots, since i couldn´t find anything about this, can anybody tell me how to setup a mission inside the mission editor, so that my flight starts with the autopilot engaged? Is this even possible, with triggers or advanced waypoint actions? Couldn´t really find an answer, and i´m sure there are many experts here Thanks guys for your help, cheers Peter!
  5. Do you use the default SteamVR settings? Varjo Base at 35ppd (standard) wouldn´t do any up- or downscaling then....right?
  6. Does it make any difference what settings we use inside the SteamVR settings? Or is everything controlled by Varjo Base itself? Still trying to figure out which combinations of settings (Varjo Base - NVidia Control Panel - DCS) will work best right now. And if SteamVR is cutting in between......
  7. In my case and with my system, i get better fps and frametimes when i disable OpenVR and only enable OpenXR in Vario Base. Enabling VSync and/or locking it to 30 or 45 doesn´t help in my case. Also reducing resolution to....lets say 3000 hoizontal in OpenXR Toolkitdoesn´t make a different for me, tried it back and forward. But will test this more Clarity is still amazing and performance is ok in most cases, just Marianas and some populated areas in South Atlantic will get stutters here and there....
  8. Thanks for all these details. Like many others i come from the Reverb G2 and also used the OpenXR route. Woked flawlessly and off course i had the positive side-effect of using motion reprojection. But also without that, i got incredible performance with OpenComposite. When i used SteamVR my prefered way was using Shaders Mods. Can we still use Shaders Mods here with the Varjo? Like the ones from @Kegetys for example? With my system i was always able to run nearly everything on maximum with the G2. I hope to get foveated rendering in DCS soon, like in the "other" sim we use sometimes Or maybe motion reprojection. Besides that, i prefer visual fidelity and clarity over ultra-high performance, and i can get away very good with fps around 30. I can only speak for myself but my eyes adapted very soon after changing from high fps when using the Reverb
  9. @Supmua Thanks for your incredible work and effort. I got mine running pretty well now, but terrible stutters from time to time. Maybe a NVidia CP setting wrong here and there. What settings would you recommend in NVidia CP and in-game settings? Thanks and cheerz from Austria

  14. I renamed it. Did a clean install......100% followed the instructions from the 1st post. As i said, until yesterday everything worked perfectly, but not after todays update...
  15. Anybody else is unable to start DCS in VR since the last open beta update? It woked perfectly until yesterday, after todays update.... nothing
  16. 100% true!! Guys who fly in MSFS aswell know this topic......motion reprojection without prop-wash is not possible as far as i know. There are some mods for this but again they come at a cost of performance, and thats now what we want i´m sure
  17. Quick UPDATE: had my....lets say....25th flight or so since changing to OpenXR, not going back to SVR. For me Motion Reprojection "allways on" works absolutely fine and most of the sliders in DCS maxed out. YES some hate the wobbling-effect on props, but for me - the improvements in perfomance alone are worth it. Marianas for me still unusable....the only place where SVR + shaders mod was absolutely better!!! BTW...didn´t really notice any picture quality drops as some reported. Not using the OpenXR Toolkit at the moment. Any of you tested OpenXR with/without shaders mod back and forth and allready noticed bit differences?
  18. For me personally - The OpenXR route works best at the moment. Before i had the vr shader mod (clear water hotfix version) installed. As mentioned above, nearly everything maxed out and followed @speed-of-heat ´s settings-guide (see first page)!! Tried out a lot of stuff in NVCP but what brought me a huge step forward was disabling HPET and HAGS. This was the first game-changer for me when i first started vr and tweaking around, at that point vr in dcs got....what i would call...."fluid"

  21. Strange What hardware specs do you have beside your 3080ti? I´m on a 3090 and maxed out nearly all sliders inside DCS. I know every system is different and it depends on sooooooo many factors (Bios, OS, drivers, registry etc.......). Recently i tried the OpenXR route....but this isn´t the right place to discuss here, maybe have a look iside the forums. @speed-of-heat is there and i guess he jumped on that train aswell
  22. PERFECT!!! I´m with you 100% In my case i have a pretty solid hardware with the 3090 etc.......and what i can say after testing around for 2-3 days....OpenXR works absolutely amazing. SteamVR was pretty good aswell, i got fluid motion with high/ultra settings. But MAN oh MAN.....OpenXR and motionrepo "always on" is a different story!!! Please Devs......keep on going this route
  23. Same here.....reprojection works perfectly with allways-on. But as i cant get OpenXR Toolkit to work, it would be interesting to test if "unlocked" is really necessary
  24. Nobody any solution to this Error message? Having this Error code since installing (YES) - the DCS version of the toolkit, and YES the PD ingame is set to 1.0 and YES when disabling the toolkint in settings everything works fine and DCS starts and runs smoothly like never before. So now.....seems that more and more of us encounter this error message. Really still no soluition here? I dont have any ideas left THX again btw for all your time and work!!!
