That is good - clockwise/counterclockwise for rotating knobs is really useful. But in addition to that, I hope they also have the bindings for them separately: Weapons/Gunsight mode: Rockets Weapons/Gunsight mode: Bombs Weapons/Gunsight mode: NR30 Weapons/Gunsight mode: Missiles CW/CCW is useful for HOTAS and rotary encoders - but individual bindings is better if you want exact commands or are building a cockpit with actual rotary switches. Same goes for simple toggle switches, for example an ON / OFF switch should have these options in the keybindings: Toggle Switch 1 ON/OFF Toggle Switch 1 ON Toggle Switch 1 OFF ON/OFF could be better for HOTAS and keyboard - but if you are using actual toggle switches, then having separate ON and OFF commands is much better. I think its good to have the options - sure it makes the binding list longer but that's hardly an issue if you label and category everything properly. Also, I hope you consider having as many axis options as possible - like for example the ARK-5 tuning, light controls, volume etc.

Well can't blame you for eagerly wanting to get into MiG-19 cockpit - I think we all have that in common

Yeah - I mean it's not like we've even paid for anything yet so chill out. Razbam has been pretty open about the progress of the module and at which state they want to release it. So... it's not the end of the world. Few months here or there -- certainly hasn't been the longest time I'd have to wait for a DCS product... Certain Nevada map comes to my mind - back in the day, it was offered together with A-10C preorders and was said to be released during the A-10C beta. And actually it was - for just a version or two - but was pulled out really soon after. This was 2010. I think it was released 2016 or 2017. I think they had to rebuild it from the scratch or something - not sure what happened. But it was a loong wait anyway. But I digress... :P

Thanks for letting us now. It's understandable that Tomcat is keeping you busy - but nice to hear that Viggen is soon moving forwards too. Lähetetty minun EVA-L09 laitteesta Tapatalkilla

Viggen.

Good that it's sorted - there's another external lights related bug that I learned on yesterdays flight: -If you have LED LJUS on, LANTERN won't turn off until you also turn off the LED LJUS.
-
Too bad - but gotta respect Razbams decision wanting to put out a finished module. Lähetetty minun EVA-L09 laitteesta Tapatalkilla

This bug has always puzzled me - I mean who at Heatblur can't count to ten...? [emoji14] Lähetetty minun EVA-L09 laitteesta Tapatalkilla

... and verified that with 'Show Controls Indicator' (RCtrl+Enter)? Sorry, gotta ask... :music_whistling: If axis are fine - only two things come to mind: -Wind -Non-symmetrical loadout Not much to mess up when you start - atleast controls wise. You can mess the HUD if you start rolling before the gauges come alive but that doesn't affect controls. I assume you haven't touched the emergency trims or turned the SPAK off either so I dunno whats the case

TM Warthog is great with any plane really - no need to fly A-10. Lähetetty minun EVA-L09 laitteesta Tapatalkilla

Do you got new controllers? Check your axis assign that you don't have any weird bindings there. Lähetetty minun EVA-L09 laitteesta Tapatalkilla

No CCIP release after NAV->ANF->NAV (track attached)
rainyday replied to corvinus's topic in Bugs and Problems
Good find! I've been wondering couple times why my bombs won't release in CCIP mode. -
More MiG-19 goodness from Growling Sidewinder:

It is pretty easy on normal flight - steady & stable - but it gets trickier when you start yanking & banking with it and taking it out of it's comfort zone. But I think Viggen design is pilot first - in general it is relatively low maintenance when up & flying. Excellent autopilot and so on. About AFK - it's bit too good. I learnt to land with it - had to practically re learn landing again when I turned it off... Now I only use it rarely, when I really need to concentrate on something else. But of course - this is just my impressions from the sim. I expect it to be pretty accurate - but couldn't say how the real thing was. Lähetetty minun EVA-L09 laitteesta Tapatalkilla

Apart from Viggen - it's little bit bothersome to me with many of the modules. Might be realistic (?) - but having good audible feedback of the cockpit & plane itself enhances the feeling of being there IMHO. As we are missing the actual 'feel' - other sense might need to be bit more exaggerated. Viggen is a good example - nice crisp sounds from the cockpit & controls and I don't have to guess whether my afterburner is on or not for example (it has an instrument for it too but still). In a real plane you can feel the vibrations etc. but we don't have that. For example in F-5 I'm always going in AB even if I don't mean to :D Don't know what is the case with MiG-19 - but well designed soundscape is something I hope for in a module  And even if we are talking about hard core simulator - it's something that I can easily 'forgive' little artistic expression if it's to enhance the feeling of the plane. - - - - - And thanks for the video @Growling Sidewinder

Yeah - after reading the post about Heatblur wanting to make module as good as possible within the time they have left, it became quite obvious. HB would have probably been better off by saying that was the release date from the get go, would have saved them a couple of headaches maybe :D And I got no objections F-14 coming out that date - I'd rather fly more finished module anyway.
-
Yeah :megalol: Just hope that all this doesn't lead us to get less WIP stuff of the modules...
-
Training missions & quick start missions listed seem good - but any official word whether the module comes with a campaign or not? Would greatly add gameplay value of the module.
-
Indeed. Would love to fly century series fighter in DCS -- and F-105 would be THE century series fighter for me.

It's not really on/off - as practically all weapons rely on QFE more or less no matter whether radar ranging is used or not. So having correct QFE always makes your weapon delivery more accurate no matter what. There's more info in the manual and in the video there was a list of broad categories how much each weapon relies on QFE. Nope - only switches it for the HUD. Main altimeter is always used for the weapon release.

Wow - awesome work! I will check it out :) Thank you very much.

Okay - would you be kind enough to explain this to be bit more in depth? Are you saying that, I can: -... add separate ON & OFF commands to controls that currently only have ON/OFF option in the keybindings? -... maybe add CW/CCW options to controls that only has separate options in the keybindings (like the many dials Viggen has)? -...or vice versa - add separate keybindings to ones that currently only have CW/CCW option? -...add new controls altogether that are currently not bindable? In that case - how does the game know which control I'm trying to adjust - by the name I presume? Where are they listed, how can I find the correct 'in game' name? For example I'm not sure about the actual 'in game' name of the restart, I just read what the hover over text says (and what it says in the swedish cockpit...). Thanks for looking into it & any help appreciated

For sure - but there are quite a few other little input related things that need adding/fixing - so maybe they will fix them all in one sweep. Just hoping it will be done before the F-14 madness really starts... well I guess for Heatblur it is pretty mad at the moment already :D Atleast they said that Viggen's future plans will be revealed early this year - I'm hoping it will include bug fixes/missing things like this. Having aspirations to start Viggen cockpit/panel build - it's the bit messy & missing controls that bug me the most in the Viggen at the moment.

About the airbrakes, manual says the following: "When the landing gear is deployed, the airbrakes will automatically retract. In order to extend the airbrakes, the switch has to be held in an open position." That doesn't seem to be the case in the game - I can toggle the airbrakes on & off as I please whether I have landing gear down or not. Which is not correct, I presume?

That definitely looks brilliant! And I agree, I'm already sold on the exterior skin - looks awesome. Cockpit looks good too - but bit sterile and lifeless in comparison. This on the other hand looks a lot better - good job!
