  1. I haven't noticed any changes in pitch - but Viggen does seem to be bit temperamental to begin with. And when you factor in the weather that might be cause of your issue. If I might steal your thread a bit - while still talking about Viggen pitch - I still can't take off without AoA warning bitching on me. I've tried early rotation, late rotation, be as gentle with the stick as possible, trim, no trim, curves (might help, but hated it otherwise) and no curves. Any tips? Using TM Warthog. Thinking of getting a short extension for it, maybe it helps.
  2. Thanks for the update, awesome stuff. Couple things I picked up when reading the patch notes: It seems better - but there is still a noticeable 'pause' when the throttle is at just below stage 1 afterburner. I dunno what it is but there's still something poking thru in my left intake. Small things - but I'd thought I'd point them out anyways. Keep up the good work
  3. This is an awesome campaign for sure. I bought it just to have something to play with the MiG-15 but I was blown away how good & addictive the campaign turned out to be.
  4. Absolutely beautiful work! Very well done.
  5. I need some help understanding this feature with the autogenerated cartridges. I have files 'Autogenerated 1-5' and 'Autogenerated ELINT -search 1-9' in the folder ...\user\Saved Games\DCS_AJ37. But in the game when I scroll the autogenerated cartridges I have 'Autogenerated 7-11' and 'ELINT 11-20'. And they don't seem to match with the Cartridges in the Saved Games folder (different target locations and so on). What am I missing - am I looking in the wrong folder or... ?
  6. Awesome video, thanks for posting it. Looking forwards for the cockpit tour
  7. Yeah doesn't work. In the previous stable, weapon selections were on the right edge of the left monitor - but now they are on the right edge of the main monitor. Problem is, in the previous stable you could atleast choose the weapons (it bit clunky, but you could navigate the menus) - but in the latest stable you can't access the weapons anymore so the problem got bigger with the fix. Triple monitors, Nvidia Surround, 5760x1080.
  8. What's the white stripe in the front panel? MiG-15 has similar stripe, haven't quite figured out why.
  9. That new radar is a thing of beauty!
  10. Thanks a lot for the info
  11. I just wonder about the button orientation, some are squares and some are 'diamonds' - indicating that they could be turned? Just speculating though.
  12. Looking spectacular, can't wait! :) - - - - - - Question about the knobs/switches (square ones with round thingy in the middle) - do you twist them? Pull? Push? Are they ON-OFF or multi position? They seem bit weird - but I suppose they are meant for easy identification whether something is on or off just by glancing at the shape? Also they seem to be so close to eachother that it looks like the next button over would be in the way of using the other? I think I've seen them on other older US planes too. Can anyone shed little more light to those knobs?
  13. Thank you!
  14. It's pretty unbelievable to read threads like this even before the stated realease window has begun... I mean come on... And don't forget that in addition to making F-14 come alive - Heatblur is adding stuff & making bug fixes for the Viggen at an impressive rate
  15. I'll guess I'll be changing over to Open Beta then :D Is there a hassle free way to update from stable->open beta - or is it better just to have separate install and move your missions, settings and keyboard commands over to that?
  16. Took me a while to realize that you are actually telling the truth  - - - - - - Out of curiosity - do non-VR people like to use the pilot body if it's available? I get the idea in VR - but using a monitor I find it mostly just distracting and in the way. So personally I just turn it off and watch my own legs & arms instead :D
  17. I did - and I enjoyed it a lot. Very well made campaign with a realistic feel to it.
  18. I do! And Aces of The Pacific, Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe, Their Finest Hour, Red Baron etc. :) Sim world has changed a lot since those days. Welcome to DCS :)
  19. I can't tell whether a flight model is 'real' or not - but MiG-15 'feels' awesome. Just like it should, IMHO. There are quirks, it can be jumpy, you need to watch the speed, you need to constantly fly it, yes, I get what you're saying. But those are things that you would expect from the actual plane and it's what makes it awesome. About trimming, there is a sweet spot for MiG-15 that you can get it trimmed in level flight, just gotta make sure you're not going too fast. Trimmed well enough to take my hands of the stick to operate the radios etc atleast. Anyway - not saying you are wrong in your opinion. People enjoy different things. But I don't think it's the flaw of the module in this case - maybe you just did a wrong choice based on your personal preference?
  20. Awesome to see MiG-19 video - keep 'em coming! :)
  21. Well it seems some of the Viggen controls are not yet sorted properly - those commands don't show when you click on the 'Datapanel' controls for example.
  22. Not quite sure what you are asking - but there are also direct commands for Datapanel selector choices (individual commands for REF LOLA, AKT POS etc.). I plan to use rotary switch with my datapanel - and for keybindings I've been using Xpadder which has been good so far.
  23. Depends on the plane, really. But in general, options are quite limited. A-10C has practically no bindable axis (apart from the obvious flight controls, of course...), MiG-15 has some choices for the radio etc. Check the Axis page for the plane in question. I have only tested with the cheapest ebay pots with Leo Bodnar board - and they do work (if supported by the module). But in my case they do cause some issues that I suppose is related to the low quality pots themselves - they seem to block some other commands because of the jitter/noise/whatever (I'm no expert...). Like in my instance they seem to interfere with my in-game radio communication not getting thru. My next step is to order the pots Leo Bodnar is selling and test with those.
  24. Brilliant module, brilliant plane. It really is fun to fly - as long as you stay in it's 'comfort zone'. And you'll learn it's quirks soon enough too and learn how to manage them. And it's part of the fun, of course :) A very charismatic little plane and a very well made module. Only minus is that there is limited missions and no campaigns included within the module. To be honest - without the 'Museum Relic' campaign being available, I wouldn't probably have bought the module in the first place. And it would have been a shame.
  25. It sure is a tough one - with A-10's going aggro on you with sidewinders. Not gonna lie - probably took me a dozen tries before getting it right. On the other hand - it was extremely frustrating. But on the other hand - also very educating. I suck at dogfighting but I learned some basics how to handle MiG-15 in a dogfight -- and it was a thrill. Absolutely brilliant campaign BTW - I was bit on the edge when I bought it that what it was all about... but it has hooked me from the first mission. Just beautifully made. Thanks!
