could be a really neat option either for the mission editor or as a second version
-
any extra variant of the mig-21 the mag 3 team could add would be a very welcome miracle, i'd love to see an F-13 or PF particularly but wouldnt say no to something like an M/MF or others, just having it open the gate to the new scenarios would be well worth a new module price imo

i tried playing around with the new qag and while its clearly a big improvement over the old system i did find some issues while checking it out and using it. firstly when i checked the bomber intercept and bomber escort mission types i couldnt seem to be able to set the bombers to be anything other than A-20Gs in any era or any map i own, interestingly enough i could set the escorts and other enemy AI to be more modern bombers like B-1Bs i ran into my biggest issue with it so far when i tried to make my first ground attack mission. I originally intended to set up a simple strike on an artillery position with a few 2S3s and trucks as targets and a couple units for air defence but as soon as i spawned in i found my targets had just taken the road and were moving away from their intended position which then forced me to quit and take it to the mission editor where i learned they were heading to my airfield for some reason and had to manually set them to their proper intended behavior which just made me feel like it defeated the point of making the mission through the qag in the first place. beyond the few issues i ran into i do really like the direction of the new system overall and i think the UI and the general way things are set up is very nice but it did leave me wishing for some extra features in some areas at the moment i've mostly found myself wishing i could introduce enemy aircraft into ground attack/sead/antiship missions as air opposition and to maybe have a way to decouple other friendly air groups/air defence groups from the main player/target group so there can be more flexibility to choose different tasks for them or have them spawn in different places without needing to head into the mission editor and it's level of depth this is definitely a step in the right direction for singleplayer and small scale coop gameplay in DCS and with just a little more work put into it and a little more fleshing out i think it could become something really neat, i hope to see it keep evolving in the future

they also got support for 4 python 3/4s with the tiger 3 upgrade, it would be an amazing second variant to see in DCS they've been stationed at punta arenas in recent times as well so it'd make for a nice fill on the south atlantic map
-
all i've seen on the capability to take 4 aim-9s is that it was tested but quickly dropped due to flutter issues with the sidewinder rails, though apparently the tiger 3 upgrade and the F-5EM fixed this problem by using different IAI pylons for python capability under the wings. Maybe that's a good choice for a 4 missile F-5, would be cool to see but would also be a bigger undertaking for ED personally i'd rather see an older F-5 first so we can finish filling out conflicts like vietnam or iran-iraq but honestly any extra F-5 version ED could make would be greatly appreciated for a package like this

you shouldn't have to pay extra for the module you already bought to work properly after so long. Either way it was already cleared up that the bug fixes and problem solving will also come for free to the people who only own the original F-5E module so it's a non-issue i still find the upgrade package sad, now it seems to just ammount to a 3d model and texture pass which, while nice, still doesn't bring any new product really worth paying for and is a treatment new and old modules from less capable 3rd parties have gotten for free. I would've been more than happy to pay 3 times the price if it had introduced a new version even with minimal changes like an earlier basic F-5E-2 to complement the F-5E-3 similarly to what has been the case already with the A-10C2 and BS3 upgrades, in comparison this one just brings an opportunity to pay for no new additions to the sim and has worked to fuel the recent rumours of financial struggle in ED, considering recent events of issues with payment to 3rd parties and with some of the recent ED releases feeling rushed and being far from the quality of earlier EA releases overall it makes me worried for DCS's future and it makes me sad for ED's current state If ED really is struggling for money i would much rather be able to donate directly than have to sit through disappointing practices and seemingly poor management like this

extremely sad update tbh. 10 extra dollars if you own it and a jacked up price if you dont for stuff that boils down to bug fixes and textures just makes ED look bad. maybe if a new F-5 was developed like with the A-10C2 or BS3 it'd be a good upgrade module and be worth more money but the newsletter makes it sound like it'll just be the same F-5E-3 as always and that's a shame
-
any chance it'll be removable from the mission editor like the one in the mig-19?

really hope the huey gets a good rework that brings it up to the level of quality of the mi-24 and other recent helicopters soon, it becomes more needed every year that passes and the comparison to other helicopters in the game is starting to feel frustrating. as for possible variants i'd love to see any of the early vietnam era hueys like the UH-1B to D or maybe an early naval UH-1N or AB-212/ASW, not very picky in that regard would honestly pay for anything that could be brought into the game to breathe new life into the huey.

+1 would love to be able to fly this thing if possible, i'm jealous of the AI right now lol
-
i'd be all over a 21F-13 or PF/PFM module if mag 3 could make one, bis overhaul is also very needed
-
T-38 would be neat but personally i'd rather see an F-5A or an earlier F-5E/E-2 before it
-
would love to see a bomber version of the mosquito in DCS some day

if possible an F1EDA would be a very welcome addition for me, we've already been given a lot by the devs but i'd still be very happy for any further F1 variants they could make in the future
