If it's like any of the previous updates, you have to re-set your modifier to the same as before. Also it needs to be the same name as before. So for example if your modifier was button 15, and you named it PINKY. You need to go to your controls, modifiers, set button 15 as your modifier. You'll notice it doesn't work unless you name it exactly as it was before. This is based off previous version experience. Assume it's the same in 1.2.1...

Since ED has another ten thousand tickets and massive problems with their new release I guess I'll just bump this so I'm not forgotten. Please ed...just a serial #.........

Your not a lone. Been two months for me, same issue, just need a BS1 serial. Hope you get yours answered. I am sure they are doing what they can, but it is quite sad to see our tickets go two months and not get what we need. Hopefully soon it'll be resolved.

I got an email 3 days ago saying my ticket was updated. There was no message, no new serial. Checked the ticket, still nothing. Tried to activate/play the game, still nothing. It has now been TWO FULL MONTHS. Please, do not give me anymore BS excuses about being busy. This is unbelievable. All I need is a new serial. For TWO MONTHS.

It'll be awhile, I been waiting almost two months. Indeed, it is quite pathetic. At least they learned from it and the stupid black shark 1 serial system is mostly fixed in the newer games, as you get a new generated serial after you use them all. I am thinking I'll probably get my ticked answered in October.

Just need a new black shark 1 serial #. ED did respond on Aug. 22nd (a month after ticket) implying I'd get a new one. Now weeks later, I still have yet to get a key. I am sure you can understand my frustration that something like this is taking so long. Please, just need a new serial....that's it...not asking for the moon....

Yup same here man I'm still with you :D. I think I did one deactivate over the years, which was prolly the cause. They must be swamped considering tomorrow will be 3 weeks for my ticket.

Should I put in a new ticket, did I not have correct info needed in my ticket? Been two weeks, I know ED is busy so just seeing if I need to do anything to help. I did notice I can't edit the ticket.

The 690 is a dual-gpu SLI card, so either the 690 or 580s would have this issue. I still vote for the 690.

I'll put it this way. I have an i5-3570k @ 4.5ghz, 8gb ddr @ 2000, two 3gb gtx 580s. And I'd get a 690.

The problem with that is you go from $700 to $1400 for 160 more vertical lines...if money is no object, then of course :D

Nice thread, thanks. As far as vram useage goes, anywhere between 1GB and 2GB. This very highly depends on the amount of AA you use, maxing out all graphic options, cockpit display (512 or 1024) and mission load (amount of units, stuff going on.) I originally upgraded from 1.5GB 580s to 3GB ones when I had three monitors, I think you'll be okay at 2560x1440. I am also running the game at the moment without any modifications or tweaks as I just rebuilt with the ivybridge cpu. So there is room for improvement. You'll be fine, grab a nice IPS 2560x1440 and enjoy :)

I have a very similar system, two 3gb gtx 580s, i5 3570k @ 4.5 and run a 2560x1440 monitor. To answer your question, you will get 60fps in very light missions, and flying over areas not well crowded. You'll still dip a lot, sometimes in the 30s. It's more than playable, this is with 3gb 580s though. Just keep that in mind, the higher the resolution, the more vram you will use (typically.) I am sure you'll still be happy with your performance, the increase in screen real estate is great and typically monitors that have 2560x1400 resolution are very good IPS panels.

Have you made sure FFB is disabled in the options? IIRC it's enabled by default.

Make sure FFB is disabled in the options menu. Should help.

Game mode is fantastic. My young nephews love it. Without it, they would never be able to play the game. Well they would, but I usually only have them over for a day or two, not enough time and they want to do other stuff as well. I imagine it's the same for other people with young relatives or children, if anything it gets them interested.
