  1. Can someone with a X65F post a track that you played with the stick? I'm looking to buy a HOTAS and wanted to see how well the X65F works with maneuvering the A-10C. It will be even better if the track contains some quick and high AoA maneuvers and using the slew on the TGP(to see the precision on the mini-stick), but any mission that you may have played will do too. Thanks in advance.
  2. Just tried that on the first instant action, happens just like you said. And since the manual say that switch gives power to the TGP, very strange.
  3. I once got a medal after watching a replay of someone else. :D I only took control after the batle was over.
  4. Yeah, weird that the pilot needs to take over to pickle the bombs, but can launch the A2A missiles just fine without going off AP. I have multiple windows and screens in my home computer and I have a single integrated mouse interacting with all them. I also have touch screens. So I have the same interface as the F35. What would be so difficult about a sim pit? I didn't mean building a sim pit, but developing a simulator "DCS style", imagine ED having to rewrite what is in a way a entire operational system. Building a sim pit in your home will be easier without all the switchs and knobs from older planes, except for the helmet, we will need one of these "TV glasses" and integrate witch TrackIR. Imagine the joy of looking at your own ass and seeing the ground 15.000 feet bellow. :D
  5. Same here. But if i hit either the zoom in or zoom out keys( '/' , '*') it stop. Quite annoying.
  6. OMG! I think i just saw the shape of a F-14 in a toast, maybe is a signal from ED... j/k :megalol:
  7. Thanks both for the info, i got no luck looking on google for these. Going to print that table since i only know the most "famous" ones. NEVADA(no mavericks left) seems like another code worth to remember for use with the A-10.
  8. Let me hijack this topic for a somewhat related question... :smartass: Sometimes after i give orders to a AI wingman, he says something like "2, winchester" an then "2, kansas". What does that means?
  9. I plan on making a freetrack with a wiimote, the parts are on the mail already. Yeah, now i think i understand with a narrow FOV will be nauseating using head-tracking, but for fixed view using a hat for movement the default is fine.
  10. Changing the default to a wider FOV will make the MFD text and symbols too hard to read unless you have one of these 30' display with 2560×1600 resolution. I'm playing in a 23' in 1920x1080 on 4xMSAA, and any wider makes things on the MFD too small. I spend most of the time looking to the TGP and TAD planning the attack and the HUD to locate myself, they all are perfectly visible on the default FOV. DISCLAIMER: I don't have TrackIR.
  11. I was expecting the narrator to say "...and prior to engaging into the mission the pilot engages the autopilot and takes a nap, while the Highly Advanced Tactical Alarm Clock will wakeup him after the mission is sucesfully completed, giving the chance for the pilot to congratulate himself"! :megalol: The thing has windows, and a unified cursor for all the windows! Recreating these avionics for a home sim will take forever.
  12. Great, they changed the Catalyst A.I options, now which of 'performance, quality and high quality' is the old turn off Catalyst A.I ?
  13. Hmmm, so maybe that's why once in one of the instant action missions i destroyed a bridge with a maverick but the scripted voice didn't acknowledge it, i had to trow a second bomb for it to move to the next target.
  14. I think it will be a waste of money for ED to increase expending in bandwidth, foremost during the Beta. That money should be better used for further development in the game. They should encourage the use of torrent and seeding, that will make everyones download faster and cost them nothing.
  15. In the "JP3" document from the manuals and documents topic there examples and details of every type of JTAC/FAC, from page V-20 to V-27. I tried copying one of the examples here but they lose formating and get very hard to look. Oh well, is worth a read, lots of simple explanations.
  16. Hard to say since the beta as been quite unreliable in frame rate for me, even if i test with the same settings in game and in the drivers, and watch the same replay i get different frame rates some times. While playing i don't notice any significant difference from 10.9 to 10.10a . I just did some tests on the same scene from the screenshots with AA in 16xQ (i'm not sure if the Q mean supersampling or something else) and lost only 2fps, with the only visual diference been the trim tabs on the wing, the rest looks exactly the same. I have been using 4x in DCS because in other games increasing AA to more then 4X causes too much fps loss with not much gain in image quality. I have no idea what is going on now. And the performance in the Morphological AA is hard to judge since is not made for the 5xxx series yet, you need to force in the installation of the drivers.
  17. Did some tests and it looks like Morphological Anti-Aliasing is not very useful on DCS, it sort of remove the aliasing but there too much distortion on the cockpit texts. Only Morphological(No MSAA) No Morphological and no MSAA: 4x MSAA:
  18. Strange, i tried that and now the AP indication on HUD(alt/head) appears when i engage the AP but is not holding the plane, it is doing nothing. If i try to move it gives the "WARNING, AUTOPILOT" as if it was working. On missions that start from the air the AP hold the aircraft fine. When the developers implement the EAC this is probably going to be fixed anyway.
