I just checked mine and based on my keybinds (I have them bound to arrow up down left right)under CpG and those are used to slew the curson on the the TSDs (those 2 screens in the cockpits "cursor controller). For me, I'm very novice, that and hocas sight select, FCR scan and polarity switch are really all I have bound under hocas. I don't have anything under buc or chop. I use reWASD and an Xbox controller for CPG (I don't fly the Apache) and have the up down left right arrows bound to the left thumb stick. Not sure if that was helpful....

this may be worth checking out.... it helped me (still - always learning)

This is how I would set it up... and of course you can amend the time to suit your mission needs. The Tanker will start moving within a few second of spawning so keep that in mind when working out your times. (message in the trigger is optional - I was just testing) Hope this helps. Top - Late activation Setup Bottom - Trigger setup Middle pic just shows the Tanker spawned. Sorry they aren't in the right order

I would select late activation on the plane itself. From there I would set the time to start. So if your mission starts at 8am and you want it to spawn at 930 you just have to set that time to start at 930. Another option is a trigger to activate group - when time is - more than 5400 (seconds) equal to 1hr 30min delay. There are a few ways to play around with triggers and late activation.... Ill try and post a screenshot for you after if needed....(just working)

Virus warning with today's update
TrichomeCharlie replied to Draken35's topic in Installation Problems
I also deleted the file. Added the steam apps to my exception list. Restarted windows. Opened steam and was able to download and the install worked. (I have auto DL on so it started as soon as I started Steam. -

I had Bitdefender delete those files. Went into STEAM to do an integrity check and it said it successfully validated the files...shouldn't it have failed or "fixed" those files I deleted? Not sure if Im missing something or its going to be a whole reinstall. -

I guess what I meant was its never happened to myself. Bitdefender has never flagged a DCS file but thanks for the link. -
Virus warning with today's update
TrichomeCharlie replied to Draken35's topic in Installation Problems
Before I add DCS to an exception list or start deleting and reinstalling... Can someone explain how this would happen all of a sudden? (im not very tech savvy) Im just trying to understand if I've had the game for years and Bitdefender for years why would this get flagged now during the latest update? Thank you for any insight.... -

Sometimes just damaging it is enough to make it inoperable from what I understand.... -
I use Open Track with Grass Monkey Tracker and works fine in CPG for me. Out of curiosity are you boresighting? If not, I wonder if that's the issue.

Easiest way to get started teaching a CPG in Coop

I would find a simple user created mission. Even a training mission. Load it up as a mission in multiplayer. (As long as you have those previously mentioned ports open) he can join you. I would set him up on a Xbox controller for the CpG seat and give him a pdf to have handy with the important keybinds. You guys can do everything at your own pace. Goodluck playing with your Dad. Thats awesome and hope you guys have a blast. -
Thanks for taking the time to get this out. It's very much appreciated. Happy Holidays to you and yours...

I use Grass Monkeys setup and I found that putting the ps3 camera at the bottom of my screen vs the top helped immensely. If you haven't tried that I may suggest to give that a go. I use a 43 inch TV. -

I had to do this today after a windows update messed up my setting. I had forgot the painfull process to set this (and mini mouse TDC Slew) but this helped me sort it out. It worked.... Also, FYI.... on my "Mode 1" profile remaining (I dont use 2 and 3) the PINKIE SWITCH "Latched" and "Fallback" are both checked off. (when you right click on pinkie switch) Nto sure if its relevant but it works. On my Windows USB controller settings I have UNCHECK "Enable Clutch Mode" but CHECK "Latched Clutched Button". In DCS - I hit the pinkie switch then hit my other key (Ex. HAT switch R) for my Sparrows, then I hit the Pinkie switch again to turn the modifier off. Works just like I had it before.

Create a WP from a target designation or from a markpoint?
TrichomeCharlie replied to Flagrum's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I use a program from the user files called "TheyWay". I recommend to check that out. I fly the Hornet and it saves me tons of time. -
So I stumbled upon this a few months ago and it was updated yesterday for precise coordinates in the F/A18c. You mark the points on your f10 map using this add on and it will input them into the Hornets computer for you. I havent tried it on MP yet but its saved me time already messing around in SP.

Hi Comrade - Thanks for the quick reply. May I suggest to add that note about the Hornet because thats good info to know and I didn't see it mentioned anywhere (sorry if I missed it). Any plans to get the Hornet Module? If your intention is to get precise GPS for the Hornet I'll definitely put some cash towards the Hornet module for you. Anyone other Hornet flyers want to help out? Decimal seconds and elevation would put this tool over the top.
