  1. If you get monitor flickering issues with g-sync compatibility mode you can disable it. If you get low fps and low GPU usage setting vsync to fast fixed this for me.
  2. What are you still doing in here? You should be practicing!
  3. Practice, practice, PRACTICE... PRACTICE... PRACTICE!!!!! Oh almost forgot, try this one weird little trick
  4. Dude, if you're getting the same advice from others that have no problem AAR in the Tomcat, don't you think that's the advice you should take? Doesn't matter how much you think an IAS gauge in the HUD would help, it didn't exist in our modeled Tomcat.
  5. Wow, don't like the advice you're getting so you call forum members braindead. The first thing you need to learn how to control is your emotions.
  6. So putting a 60FPS frame cap seems to have solved the issue. Thinking its either the PSU or GPU.
  7. Another crash to desktop, it seems very consistent timewise, about an hour before it crashes. Temps look fine though.dcs.logdcs.20220329-134122.dmpdcs.20220329-134122.crash
  8. No dice, this time crash happened while in single player mission. Screen went black/froze and computer restarted. dcs.log dcs.log.old
  9. Uninstalled driver and ran DDU cleaner, installed fresh and new Nvidia driver 512.15. Crashed on me again. Uninstalled FRENCHPACK V4.8 mod, stress test lasted 1 hour 3 minutes and finally crashed to desktop again.dcs.20220328-212648.crashdcs.logdcs.20220328-212648.dmp ETA: not exactly a "stress" test, just ran the game in multiplayer in external view.
  10. Thank you, will try it and report back.
  11. Hi guys, seemingly out of no where I'm getting a crash to desktop when in external view at altitude in multiplayer. 3 of the crashes to desktop I have gotten no error message. One time it crashed and blue screened "Unexpected store exception". So far I've performed a slow DCS repair, deleted fxo and metashaders2 folder which have not fixed the problem. Attached is a copy of the latest dcs.log. Any help would be greatly appreciated. dcs.log.old
  12. Without changing speed but putting wings back you are reducing lift therefore the autopilot has to increase the AOA to maintain altitude which will cause you to slow down. At least this is how I understand it, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  13. I can't imagine taking my hand off throttle or stick during intense actions to manipulate the mouse. I have Jester menu button mapped to throttle (where the ICS mic button would be) and find looking and around to be very quick. I'm using Opentrack so maybe it responds different using the TrackIR software.
  14. On a busy multiplayer server, yes for sure. Cycling F2 through the players would stutter when I had 32gb, after upgrading to 64gb no more stutter. I've seen as much as 42gb RAM usage on a busy Syria server.
  15. Waste of money if you plan on keeping your resolution at 1080p.
  16. Just got my MFG Crosswind pedals and wow they are amazing! Makes my old thrustmaster pedals feel like they were made by Fisher Price.
  17. If the PSU is installed upside down like you said it should be drawing air from the bottom and exiting out the back so it would have no affect. The GPU depends on the cooler type. If its a blower style then it would be an exhaust fan, if its an open air type the exhaust out the back will be negligible.
  18. I'll toss in a couple theories, could be a bad factory thermal paste job, or it could be insufficient airflow. You're drawing in air from the top (which will be warmer after exchanging the heat to cool the CPU) and pushing it out the front and back. How much of the air coming in do you think is making it down to the GPU, and is it cool enough? Like BitMaster mentioned, keeping the GPU cool is the priority. I have mine set up in the reverse, 2 intake fans in the front (also one at the bottom) and AIO mounted to the top as exhaust with rear fan also as exhaust. Cool air in from low front and bottom moving across/through GPU and out the top and back. It's a bit concerning that the fans are as loud as you say they are and the temps are still hitting upwards of 80C. Have you checked in monitoring software what % the fans are running at and how many watts the board is drawing? The 6900XT has a 300W TDP, for comparison my 3080Ti has a 350W TDP and when overclocked hits upwards of 430watts, fans are by no means quiet but they are not running at 100% My GPU temp stabilizes at 78C in those conditions. ETA: Try running it with the side panel off, if the GPU temp is a few degrees lower that's normal, if there is a huge difference or if the fans don't need to work nearly as hard to maintain GPU temps than you know you have an airflow problem.
  19. I have two monitors, I leave resource manager running on my second monitor.
  20. This seems to be a RAM issue. At 32GB I would have stuttering while cycling F2 through the different players throughout the map. When I upgraded to 64GB this stutter is gone. In multiplayer with 10+ players I'm usually using 41+GB of RAM.
  21. So much for my hopes of a lower TDP with the 5NM process. I'm skeptical of this rumor though, I refuse to believe Nvidia thinks ppl will want to install a small space heater in their PC.
  22. OMG dude you're my hero! Never thought to try VSYNC fast. I disabled in game VSYNC and enabled VSYNC Fast in the NVCP for DCS specifically, boom consistent 99% GPU usage 60-70FPS in multiplayer. THANK YOU!!!
  23. Try slowing down, the current AP almost never works at high speed as the initial nose dive cause too much of a vertical speed spike throwing the AP back off.
  24. I've never experienced this, what type of GPU/VRAM do you have. The textures are quite large, could be a VRAM issue.
