  1. i have both. the orion beats the thrustmaster in almost everything, even though I am not a fan of the Orion IDLE/cutoff detent. Too easy to pass it by mistake.
  2. as you can see weather is rough and visiblity is almost none... I kinda screwed up the touch down a little bit, because my rate of descent was a bit high in the last few seconds, but that little bounce wasnt too bad considering. I've made nicer ones since then, but i think it was honest posting one that I took live with OBS ! I can share the mission if anyone wanna try. just a detail. I capture in 1920x1080, but in realty I fly in 3840x1080, with another monitor below the main one with MFDs and HSI on it.. so sometimes you wont see my comm menu on the sides, and also, sometimes I just glance down to look at my HSI, which you cannot always see. Easier to look at my real HSI than the one in the virtual cockpit-

  4. oh ok, sorry, didnt know it was called CNI. indeed, my mistake was having the ILS on req and not T/R- now I get my distance on the HSI, as expected. will post a video later tonight. its just to much fun to do blnnd landings ! thanks guys
  5. what is the CNI page on the DED ??? I cannot find it works on the HSI now though !
  6. thanks guys !
  7. I would trade all my hornet close time for Turkey close time
  8. same here. how do you turn them ON ?
  9. So, i always loved doing blind ILS approaches in BMS, and I do the same in DCS.. especially now that we are getting super weather conditions. i do a completely blind approach in Incirlik, by night. and i works, but my only issue is that I have to guesstimate my distance to the station. it works, but makes it more difficult. Why doesnt the TCN gives me the distance to the station, at least in the HSI ??? everything else work.. ILS, TCN course, etc, but NO distance to TCN.... any clue ? (I can post a video of the landings if you want to better understand) thx !
  10. again.. less than optimal. I had a timer. A different one for both panels, with a 15min gap in between them. My friend in france had a different timer, about 45min longer with the same 15min gap.. at the end of my timer, nothing happened for 30min...... After the the whole site went 404 for about an hour.. After that, out of nowhere, product 1 (combat panel) was in stock for about 2min... 10min later, the take off panel was in stock.. for about 1 minute.. I managed to buy it. My friend, who wanted both, put the combat panel in his cart as soon as it became in stock, and then waited for the take off panel. when it came in stock, he added it to the cart and went for the payement of both... at which point the site told him the combat panel wasnt available anymore..... so he could only purchase the take off panel... frankly.. this way of doing this is really not optimal.. keep in mind, we had to stay up and do all of this at 4am....
  11. AGAIN... there is a timer... timer is out, and nothing.. and one has to stay up all night for a chance to place an order. Not cool
  12. but is it possible for DCS to push sound on BOTH device at the same time ?
  13. you answered your own question. this was not made on purpose. its the wrong angle of the super taurus that was simply duplicated on the orion funny. I myself worked with SWISS AIR FORCE C/D hornets, and the feeling on the throttle is entirely different, because the angle is backward. And this is NOT an opinion. its a fact souvenirs souvenirs.. (circa 2007-2014)
  14. and that angle exist for very important reasons called ergonomics... it doesnt prevent you from using and enjoying the product, but it makes it not optimal in the way you can use it, especially in a homemade cockpit, because you cannot grip it comfortably the way it is supposed to be gripped.
  15. dude. It's not an OPINION. it's a fact that the angle is backward. That you accomodate with that angle, more power to you. But the angle is defintely ergonomically wrong. good assessement
  16. I have a question. I used a USB headset for my sound. how can I use this and keep having my sound ? Do I need a second audio device ?
  17. I am glad im to know not crazy with my egonomic issues
  18. sorry but i believe this to be incorrect. It is an issue, to a certain degree, because you end up having to grip the throttles in a way they werent designed to be gripped to begin with. The angle they are designed to be griped from has a purpose, ergonomically speaking. the fact that we get an opposite angle here has consequences. It doesnt mean that you cannot use the throttles. It simply means they feel odd the first time you grip them for someone who is used to that correct angle. its not about immersion. It's about ergonomics. Ergonomic Designs have a reason/purpose. going against those ergonomics isnt a upside, its a downside. It doesnt mean that these arent the best consumer hotas throttle on the market. I think they are.
  19. same for me. the export lines drop my FPS from 100 to 65.... the sim app pro doesnt seem to create issue in itself though. its the export line for the button lights to sync that are the issue
  20. Thanks for your picture Supmua. it confirms that the Super Taurus also has the opposite angle, though maybe slightly less acute than the Orion (see pics) I am very glad that most users do not 'feel' it wrong as I did, its a very good news. I guess our bodies arent all the same (who knew ? ) I hope Winwing takes that in consideration for a future product, or even with arms that twist a little and fix this.
  21. What is the goal of your/this post ? Do you dispute that the angle is backward ? I dont think so. Do you dispute that the correct angle in the real hornet has ergonomic purposes ? I don't think so. Do you dispute the fact that the angle on the Orion being backward compared to the real hornet might then logically cause ergonomic issue to some people ? why would you ? I mean. these are supposed to be some kind of Hornet HOTAS replicas. the fact that they got such an angle backward seems a pretty big deal to me (because it felt wrong in my hand from the get go). I am only trying to make some kind of fix happen.
  22. yes, but honestly I would have a hard time to judge from that. but from what I remember sitting in a real hornet (NOT FLYING though) the blueprint posted earlier is correct
  23. I never said the angle was 30 degrees. I said turn your grip 30 degrees to feel how it should really feel. 15° one way, or 15° the other, makes a world of difference. maybe its only 20°.. 10 one way or 10 the other... I dont know. I didnt not measure. fact it, its backward. I think i proved it with enough pics. I rest my case. unfortunately your pic doesnt show
