I love this module, but the background are really not on par with the rest. I did a few, because now DCS allows some incredibles screens. if someone is interested I can share-

again, im not wanting good conditions. Put me some thunderstorms and rain all you wan it is just my opinion that this orange fog brings nothing to the game in terms of tactics. but again, best server out there. thanks !

nice flying tonight. I do not like the desert sand/fog much.. just makes coordination difficult, especially in a map where there is no remarkable georgraphic references. Honestly, more clouds, less fog is better Thank again for this great server

Ok, so this is what I did : first I created two new entries in my MonitorSetup file ((modify the file you currently use in DCS; but make a back up copy of said file first) that you can find here : \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Config\MonitorSetup here are the entries for the monitorsetup file that must be added. for coordinates and sizes, you can initially copy those that you already use for the other exports you have there, but you will need then need to finetune them, because for this airplane these exports need to be a little smaller, to fit the Cougar MFD's... for reference, here are the lines I use for the hornet, for example. You can see the difference (up there the sizes are smaller compared to the one I created for the Goshawk) then, you need to add the following lines to your MFDR init.lua file that you can find here (add it at the VERY END of the file): \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft\VNAO_T45\Cockpit\Scripts\Displays\MFDR\Indicator then, you need to add the following lines to your MFDL init.lua file that you can find here (add it at the VERY END of the file) : \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft\VNAO_T45\Cockpit\Scripts\Displays\MFDL\Indicator for reference, here is how the complete init.lua file looks like (with the addition put in bold). there you go. this should work. works for me perfectly

yes to both

first question is.. Do you already have external MFD's working on another airplane ? Like the F/A-18C or the F-16C ? because the explanations are going to be much longer if you dont. If you already have some working, and that your MonitorSetup file already includes that, its going to be easier I agree, the fonts are a bit strange, and also the right column of the MFD's is a bit off screen
-
doest work for me. Can you show me WHERE you put it in the init.lua ? EDIT: got it working by adding it at the end !!! THANKS !!!
-
made a new loading image image for the T-45 theme goes into \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft\VNAO_T45\Theme\ME name loading-window.png

where do you find the MFDL init.lua file ?
-
you cant see it ??? are you blind ? LoL, for real ? look at the clouds above the wingtip, and look how they jitter compared to the shadow on the ground when he goes up and down.. and then look.. all the clouds along that horizontal line are moving the same. ps: it mostly affect clouds below you, not above you.. or less
-
yep. it is the ONE thing that is currently ruining my experience a bit. I am playing with a 32/9 monitor, and it seems to amplify the thing... clouds are really moving at the edge of my screen. its almost like clouds are on a different layer than the rest of the 3d world, and moving up and down in relation to my pitching the airplane.
-
the cloud jittering fix is the ONE thing i want... sad that the hotfix doesnt address that
-
server down here too
-
It is my impression my clouds are not completely standing still, but have a tendency to make very small yet rapid up and down movements, when I look at them, especially in the distance. I seem to have read that being an issue in VR, but I do also see it in 2d.... Is that 'normal' for now ? if not, any way, setting, or tip to fix it ??? Thanks a lot. They look amazing !

actually, It would be useful on any airbase in which blue airplanes spawn, that DO NOT already have a TACAN. Especially when you put a very bad weather conditions. If you need a list, I can make one, but I think its easier for you to just add a mobile TACAN to airbases that are used in your missions. If you click on the airbase Icon, you can check under the TCN tab, if is has a tacan already or not. Also, I would suggest using tacan numbers in between 10 and 20 because they are rarely used. If you need any help, or lists, let me know ! Thanks a lot ! off to the paypal ! you are putting up a great server !!!
-
that is great. here is a video that shows how to add a mobile TACAN to place that dont have TACAN. would be useful on combloc airbases without TACAN in the game, from which the blue force have to fly, because TACAN is there main Navigational Aid Normally and now that we have severe weather, it would really be useful! thanks a lot !!!
-
hey. Amazing new missions ! would it be possible to place mobile TACAN station, on Maykop, for example, on the mission in which there is severe weather ?`It would allow the F-5 to navigate on their own, in case there is no GCI available ! Thanks a lot !!!

that is the number from 0 to 100 right ? I think that is just intensity/strenght, not a threshold. basically, on the F-14 its producing a constant low and repetitive vibe, even when under no AOA. I am missing something ?
