  1. We had CTDs with selective jettisons too! But unfortunately not yet been able to reproduce it.
  2. Not rude but also not too kind at all. It's the kind of answer that those give, who are not satisfied with getting the keywords they'd had to look for in the Flight Manual, but instead want the answering person (who obviously has read the manual, maybe even more than once) to put it all together for them. As long as there are guys willing to do so, fine. But argueing about those who don't... :music_whistling: And in the end: Finding out stuff yourself is much more satisfying anyway! :D
  3. Puuuhhh lucky us, you're not really a Jedi! *g*
  4. Wow, we should have had that hint for the LOCERFs we tried to run with LOTATC...
  5. Basically he's more looking like the weird bad guy from Hell Boy... ;)
  6. Keep practicing! The main points are experience, trimming and giving your roll and pitch axxis a slight curve in the controls options. And always remember: Follow the tanker and not the boom!!! That is really important once you try to get in a stable refueling position!
  7. If you'd now light up those engines, they'd become small, black and ugly... ;)
  8. Partly yes. Kinda adapted to fit our squadrons needs. Hope it will suit the rest of you guys too. Thinking about the lots of screenies, showing A-10Cs breaking into the pattern over the tower instead of away from it... ;)
  9. Wow that Superbug looks great! Especially the blue navy anniversary paint scheme. @Blake: Your pic looks nice too!
  10. AT-6 http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/generic/story.jsp?id=news/asd/2011/10/11/04.xml&channel=defense :D
  11. Right, you'd actually need a recorded voice stating "Thank you for calling Eagle Dynamics "Make a wish Hotline". Your wish is noted. We'll inform you about the next module, once the decision is made. Thank you and have a nice day!" :D
  12. Instead of this thread, ED should have offered a phone hotline, which costs 1$/call. That way they could have hired 1 new employee. :D
  13. Just posted new previews: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1305812&postcount=83
  14. Just got the newest version on my table! They're basically done, just need to be bug checked/fixed. Here's a preview for you guys:
  15. You also need them to know your entry/exit points to fly into or out of the CTR! You need them to know in which direction you have to fly the pattern (left or right hand). You need them to gather airfield information like RWY length/width, elevation, ... Don't say millitary doesn't use approach charts. But you're right saying they do VFR approaches and not IFR (as long as visibility allows). However: It won't take too long anymore till our chart package will be released... ;)
  16. OMFG!!! LOL!
  17. Hey Paul, Happy 1 year Forum-Membership Anniversary! :D (Just saw you joined Oct 2010, don't know the day though...) ;)
  18. LOL! You got all the stuff already, don't you! ;)
  19. UPDATE: I'm actually working on the "Comms & Procedures"-Guide which will come with the charts, so you guys get a clue how to use the stuff. For now it has 31 pages and is close to finish. Once it's done, it will be translated to english (it's german atm.). So step by step we're getting there. So the first release will be a package including - Ground Charts - VAD Charts - Comms & Procedures Guide And another teaser: Schleudersitz plans to do some TACAN-Approach Charts, once the VAD-Charts are done! :) This will then come in a V2 release of the package.
  20. Hm... could you maybe go a step further into detail what and how you do it? But wait, it would get kinda OT. Maybe drop me a PM?? I'd also be happy to give your mission a try once you're done, or in case you need some one to test it. Will it be SP, MP or both??
  21. Problems start with getting long lasting firefights. Normally they kill each other really quick and I'm still to discover how to get them into a kind of cover and shoot, without killing all involved within 2 minutes. Also for all kinds of insertion or evac, it would be so nice to give choppers the ability to land everywhere on even ground and get them airborne again after a certain amount of time. So many ideas - so many ME restrictions... And the things that are not really restricted, require hours of work to get a short seconds sequence run.
  22. The most important points about the CDU are (in my eyes): - handle, edit, create waypoints - handle, edit, create flightplans - Offset function - Markpoints (even though, this interacts with some other things mentioned above)
  23. That have been my thoughts too. In a mission like we fly them with our virtual squadron, I'd never waste a AGM-65 on a truck or a tank. Imagine you "wasted" your pretty missiles and then facing a SA-8 on your way... For a "cheap" target, I always use a "cheap" weapon, so I have some nice stuff left for worse things that might appear.
  24. I'm actually reading "7/9 Fire Strike" by Paul 'Bommer' Grahame, and I have to say DCS is atm no way capable to simulate (talking about the ME) such dynamic battle situations. Unfortunately... This will maybe appear, once we've got that ArmA - DCS mix simulation, where you have humans on the ground talking to you instead of AI. P.S.: Get that book! It's an awsome read! (at least for those who haven't been fighting on the ground IRL)
  25. But he wrote DMS up/down and not UFC rocker or something. So for a beginner reading it, it should have added "HUD SOI" or replace DMS up/down with the proper switch.
