Just to make sure I understand it: To have custom loadouts appear for everybody in a MP mission, everybody would have to make this modification on his own, right?
Would be really helpful if customized loadouts could be provided by the mission-file, so that everybody joining the game would have the same loadouts to choose from!
And what did you learn that evening: Don't type messages once you're engaged, activate your CMS and perform defensive maneuvers! :smartass:
:D
Sidenote: Using TS3 gives you hands-free time! ;)

Sure it'd be fun to fly a UH-60 for example. You just need a fitting environment. In ArmA2 it's a lot of fun to fly the Blackhawks and Chinooks. But only because you have a highly detailed ground war going on, with client-infantry soldiers boarding your helicopter or fast roping onto a buildings roof. So ArmA needs a better simulator or DCS needs way more detailed ground action.
Well explained in this Thread: ALT SCE only affects the IFFCC calculations and not your altimeter. Also search the forums for "CCIP"
No! It is the air pressure you set there. So: It's changing all the time (IRL) from mission to mission (in DCS).
Flightlevel is just a form of "naming altitudes". FL300 is 30.000ft at standard air pressure (same datum for all aircraft flying according to FL).
Of course!!! It will make all your alt readouts less accurate. Local pressure is due to change (you know, this weather thingie... ;) )and of course you have to take this change into acount -> calibrate your altimeter to MSL (enter the briefed air pressure or set it to airfield elevation (if known) as long as you're on the ground).
I hope DCS will not! Suite 3 is fine for me! Just by the current patches things constantly tend to change, which I find somehow contra-productive for a steep learning curve! ;)

10-15, but when I OCed, I put up some gfx-settings at the same time, so I had no countable prior/after-value. For me it was at least a well noticeable boost, which I find was quite rare regarding my hardware upgrades in the past.
I'd guess his procedure is based on an earlier patch-state of the sim.
And as far as I know you switch ON your engine generators prior to engine start.
Status update VAD-Charts:
The basic work is done. Now we're starting the fine-tuning. The initial map template we used was fit together from two 1:100.000 ME-Map screenshots (@1920x1080). As the detail-level turned out to be too low, we decided to re-work them all with 1:50.000 screenshots. Now in 1:50.000 scale you need to merge eight screenshots for each airfield. This work is half done.
So while a lot is already done, we still have some stuff to do. I hope you will find it been worth waiting for once you have the charts on your table.
EDIT: Added a 1:100.000 and a 1:50.000 template of Krymsk, so you can see the differences. (1:50.000 shot is scaled down in quality so it comes from 7.7mb to 1.8mb)
1. This loadout is a drag and weight nightmare! ;)
2. Have you ever considered to drop that nightmare, once you're forced to perform an emergency landing with a heavy damaged aircraft???
