  1. Fortunately it is much much more than that!!!
  2. Haha... The list of kits I want to build is long enough for the next 10 years... :music_whistling: Maybe we should start a dedicated thread. I'd be interested in other LO/DCS-Guys model-projects.
  3. Great bird man!! Not sooo much OT... ;) I returned to the hobby after about 20years... Just take the time once and then! I had so much fun building the Hornet. It was worth the time.
  4. But those high-vis schemes just lacked too much the look of a military aircraft. The current birds in TPS with just a slightly painted vert-stab is just to the point in my eyes. However, at an airshow a high-vis (CAG) scheme is ok... It's like circus then, right?! ;)
  5. TY Vekkinho! I'm a Flanker-Pilot - I like 'em dirty, ya know... :D But seriously: I love Navy-Jets when they look like what they are. I hate those clean CAG-Birds. They just look like they're part of a circus or something. A rifle is also never painted in shiny colours... Next Project will be a VF-103 F-14B. Line-Jet of course!!! I'll drop some pics here as soon as she is completed. (<- that might take a few month...) I promise, she will be even more worn out!
  6. No no, it's plain plastic with some colour... It just got some contrast and brightness touches with photoshop. Just check the other pics I linked. Great you like it. It took me 4 months to build...
  7. Thanks for your answer Castle! But as you may have noticed, the answer was already given in a prior posting. I now just wanted to show you guys the outcome of the question -> my 1/48 VFA-103 Super Hornet. But thanks for pics and information!
  8. And now here is the result of my research: My 1/48 Super Bug: More pictures: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=212177 :D
  9. @=SE= Falcon: Most of the servers I know beeing used for those events are close to my home setup. Meaning something like a E8400 CPU, 0.5-1gb graphic-card, 4gb RAM,... This shouldn't really be the problem. Especially because they're run on quite low settings: no blur, basic haze, low resolution... Focus should stay on load in sequence, mission design (triggers, moving or static units) and exports.
  10. I care more about the editor because as a part of DCS it's a part of our sim-future. FC2 isn't really... simply because it is as it is. I'm not happy, thinking about how long it will take till we will have a fast mover in DCS, but I think I can fill the time waiting with flying the A-10C. Even when I'm prefering flying a fighter...
  11. Yeah, I hope so too!!! This Editor could be really amazing if they do!
  12. Some thoughts of mine: I was so happy when I heard DCS/FC2 would have a trigger-feature for the ME! Once I started working with it I quickly found out that it has some good features to create single-player missions, but lacks a lot of functions for high quality multi-player maps, without having 1000+triggers. Here's why: First it's a MUST have to combine client-aircraft in groups to 1. assign waypoints once for a group (and not, let's say 25 waypoints for 10, 25 for another 10 and 25 for the next 10 aircraft which leads to a total amount of 750 waypoints a mission builder would have to set) 2. to be able to handle a group of client-aircraft with the triggers. Example: I want a trigger to react to a group of client aircraft (let's say a group of 10AC). I actually have to create 10 triggers, one for each of those aircraft. Now let's go some further and say I got about 50 AC and 10 triggers that should work with each of them... Right: I have to create 500 triggers!!! I guess you see the problem... Next, I'm painfully missing some very basic conditions for the triggers: - Red/Blue Units in zone - Red/Blue Units outside zone - Red/Blue Units inside moving zone - Red/Blue Units outside moving zone When creating a large scale battlefield I DON'T want to link each and every unit of both coalitions. That would us again to trigger-counts of 1000+. The whole idea/concept of the new ME is great, but it's simply missing some key features to make it really powerful. Making a really, really good LOCERF-Mission for example, featuring everything I got in mind, will surely take me 3 years for... I hope the ME-design makes it possible to integrate the mentioned functions. TY for reading!
  13. Even IF it works, it should only work when the vehicles are not moving.
  14. There you go... We still need a third coalition... (like since the very first days of LO). This coalition could have been set to "neutral" so that trees wouldn't stop aircraft from landing. And a lot more opportunities in mission making, but here it becomes a bit OT... ;) And guys, have a look at real airbases! Those trees are always a few hundred meters away from runways! At least the tower needs to see what's going on there! :smartass:
  15. Great stuff!!! :megalol:
  16. I also asked for the BuNo-thing. This is what I was told:
  17. Hm... sounds reasonable. I'll keep on researching this. EDIT: Just recieved this answer at the ARC-Forums:
  18. Just to make clear what I talk about: The picture shows the hi-vis and med-vis variants of the VFA-103 Super Hornets. The lo-vis variant has grey vert.-stabs instead of black/dark grey. (Picture source: Fightertown Decals)
  19. Yap, it pretty sure depends on situation, but why the mid-vis? I'd expect one hi-vis and one low-vis. One for fighting one for training (beeing "at home"). I really hope, someone can clear this up a bit!
  20. *Lagerfeuer anzьnd* *Lied sing* *Bier auf!* :drunk::doh: So, wenn das keine kameradschaftliche Atmosphдre ist...
  21. Are you serious? No one has a clue???
  22. You make my day! Great to know! I think I'll very much stick with my above described load except the AIM-120s. 1st it seems like they don't use them a lot (no enemy AC above Afghanistan), 2nd the ones which come with the kit look way ugly... LGBs and JDAMs will be taken from the Hasegawa Smart Weapons Set. EDIT: Just checked some more photos and noticed, that they also put the larger weapon to the middle pylon and the smaller one at the inner pylon, to give the target-pod a wide FOV.
  23. Thanks for your answer! On a photo I saw a whole carrier deck full of Super Bugs pre-loaded with one wing tank and a centerline tank. So I wonder you call it "rare". http://www.navy.mil/management/photodb/photos/100223-N-4236E-218.jpg I know there are lots of possible weapon loads but what I look for is something like typical for a common mission profile (CAS, SEAD, ...). Some combinations would be possible but wouldn't make sense in a specific mission profile. There's a website dedicated to the F-15E. There they show a handful of typical flown loadouts. It's something like that I'm looking for.
  24. I found it's about time to BUMP this one! Grizzly, I hope you're up to date with your links... ;)
