  1. Reposting my charts here as well. Click Here for Google Sheets to Graphs 500m 6km 12km In conclusion: Bring an Mk47 motor variant. Also nozzle_exit_area still equals 1e-6.

  3. I'm just the messenger here.
  4. Yes since the main lobe clutter filter is not used in PD-STT, it cannot be notched. An intended feature. You can still lose track if they enter the zero Doppler filter though.
  5. I would absolutely love to hear some answers regarding these questions along with if this is still utilizing the older API that doesn’t have a dedicated FM and motor sections (boost and march) like what the AIM-120s, S530D, and SD-10 currently have. Overall sounds like next patch is going to be great and I can’t wait to drop some graphs into this chat later on tomorrow.
  6. Will a new whitepaper be made in order to update the information we have? I would love to read the sources that were able to make these changes possible along with stare at the graphs. Also did the nozzle_exit_area stuff ever get added?
  7. A/A refueling in the Tomcat is definitely tricky. For the last week I've been wrestling with every plane in DCS in order to try to do A/A refueling and the Tomcat was definitely one of the harder probe-and-drogue planes to A/A refuel next to the Harrier. Once I got it down tho, I feel like is super easy and requires a lot of tiny movements of the stick (and I even removed the 15 curve I put on for exclusively A/A refueling). Of course, when compared to real life, the Tomcat has a longer throw for its stick when compared to HOTASes at home (especially desktop ones) so that would definitely help when doing more finer movements IRL. But even IRL, there are cruise videos of Tomcats having problems getting into the basket as well so I feel like it isn't a DCS only thing.
  8. Looks like ED is going to be unable to make a FF MiG-29 9.12 due to the current geopolitical situation so maybe Heatblur and TrueGrit could make a FF German MiG-29 (both the non-upgraded and upgraded models) thanks to their connections with the Luftwaffe.
  9. Pretty interesting proposition. Maybe if we do that we can get every single wishlist feature regarding the Tomcat added.
  10. Okay I updated the mod to V1.5. I also decided to add the 580 gallon center line fuel tank from the one of the other F1 variants along with the GBU-27 (albeit it has a super old 3D model). EDIT Screenshot I forgot to send:
  11. I'll look into it. They probably changed some of the file structure again.
  12. The A2A tracking seems to be a thing that all TGPs in A2A mode do. Litening and ATFLIR do it and its super annoying but it could be realistic since it mostly happens when you're not in a STT mode.
  13. As the one that cited that video which countered his claim that the Tomcat is a 6G aircraft and cannot pull more for a fraction of a second, this entire argument, in my honest opinion, has been trying to argue with an inanimate object. Like this isn't a discussion but more of something to gawk at and be amazed at how someone can try to deny every ounce of evidence that is readily available on the internet. For those wondering the video, here it is. It's a video where Kurt Schroeder, former Grumman Test Pilot, describes the time where he was RIOing for an Iranian trainee and that trainee inadvertently pulled 10+ Gs resulting in the G meter to be pegged at at the maximum G limit it could display:
  14. I'm looking at my 1972 version of the NAVAIR 01-F14A-1 and it looks like that MSL Options switch is there with the SP PD option. There's also like super old promotional footage of the F-14 when it was first being introduced and some of them have RIO scenes that show the MSL Options switch with a SP PD option. So I think our Block 95 will have a SP PD option on its MSL Options switch. Here's some:
  15. Deka could add training variants of these missiles which would be similar to the Captive AIM-9M. Nothing more than just that extra sense of realism if you're doing training I guess.
  16. https://imgur.com/a/4GN0auu My super loud space bar is me pressing the trigger and then you can see the "Hot Trig" light go out and it turns back on once the Sparrow is released.
  17. Hot trigger light will go out and turn back on once the first weapon is released.
  18. Check the special menu option that relates to weapon selection. I personally haven’t had any issue utilizing the “Weapon Selector Up” and “Weapon Selector Down” to select all the selectable weapons recently.
  19. Well it doesn't help that the AIM-9s currently have inaccurate lengths which can contribute to the pylon placement being incorrect.
  20. Bug: UFCP and AAP panel missing button press animations (both in Performance and Visual Quality cockpit variants) Can I reproduce it 100%: Yes How to reproduce/description: Step 1: Press a button on the AAP panel and/or UFC panel Step 2: Observe Result: The buttons on the AAP panel and the UFCP no longer have an animations when they are pressed in the current DCS Open Beta patch. This can be compared to DCS OB 2.7.6.13436 (just an older version I had laying around). DCS Version: Open Beta 2.7.17.29140 Mods: No mods are used that change the cockpit of the JF-17. Videos: DCS OB 2.7.17.29140 UFCP and AAP panel missing button animations DCS OB 2.7.6.13436 UFCP and AAP panel with button animations
  21. You mean the target diamond flashing after you fire the gun in A/A mode right? If so, that's an intended feature as the RTGS also calculates where the bullets actually are in relation to the target when at target range which is called the bullet position at target range or BATR. Its kinda a neat feature and the Mirage 2000 kinda has something similar with the dots along the snake. HB Manual as a source btw
  22. Probably more instances it in some of the earlier pages.
  23. I think the AIM-54 probably got more complicated regarding its usage. And maybe the AIM-54C-Mk47 will find its place with some possible INS and auto-active features.
  24. Any chances that these new features and bug fixes will drop in one of the typically mini updates in between the major ones? Also would really like to get my hands on the new AIM-54 overhaul and see what's up.
