  1. I installed Tacview on my dedicated server because users wanted the 10 minute delay removed. Is there a way that I can disable the server recording and just have it so that clients can record locally as they desire? I just don't want to have to remember to delete track files every so often.
  2. Since using Vaicom, Voice Attack would intermittently freeze and/or crash on me MULTIPLE times during game play. This wasn't just in DCS, it would happen when playing IL2 as well - which initially led me to believe it was something to do with plugins being active in general, as I never had that prior to buying Vaicom (and never had crashing issues either). Anyway, one of the Vaicom installation steps was to change AUDIO OUTPUT TYPE in Voice Attack to WINDOWS COMPONENTS. My default was INTEGRATED COMPONENTS. I saw something in reference to that in an old post on some other forum and decided to switch it back to INTEGRATED COMPONENTS and, lo and behold, 0 voice attack crashes during 2 sessions of 3-4 hour VR game play. Again, prior to that change, there was no game session in which voice attack wouldn't freeze up several times and require a restart. It happened at least 2 or 3 times every time I played. Changing back to integrated components did not seem to have any impact on the functionality of Vaicom, so I'm not sure why that is part of the installation process anyway. Hopefully this will help you out if you're having intermittent issues with voice attack locking up and/or crashing!

  5. That's interesting - I wonder if there is some difference between the Steam and Standalone version because it 100% worked on Steam prior to my switch
  6. Greetings - Has anyone else recently had in-VR cockpit adjustment stop working? When I was on the steam edition, I could move my view in VR with the NUMPAD keys and save it with ALT+NUMPAD0 - I recently switched to standalone and these keys no longer work on any module. I confirmed that they are still bound, and even did extra bindings for them on my HOTAS with a modifier to test it out - no luck. Luckily, the default VR views in the hornet and tomcat are close enough, but I would really like to fine-tune them.

  8. Thanks for this detailed write-up - I have a similar system (3090, 5900x, 32gb, Reverb G2) and basically followed your guide 100%. I have no problem maintaining a locked 45fps with low gpu/cpu times. Game play is smooth and enjoyable! The only thing that bothers me - and I'd like to know if you have the same issue - is the damn shimmering!!! For example, when on the carrier, the lines towards the back, the writing on the control deck, all like a shimmering mess. I hope you know what I'm referring to, because shimmering is the only word I can think of the properly describe it It seems to be mostly close up? Zooming in on things or looking out at the scenery in flight doesn't really seem to have this problem - it is primarily when you are like just starting up and looking around on the ground. Thoughts? I am running: 100% Steam Gen, 80% per eye res Same in-game settings as your screenshot Clear Water F14 lux cockpit OpenVR mod with .80 scale and 1.0 sharpening Thanks for any input you might have!

  11. Do mission days just continue forever unless the map is changed? For example: If I start a mission on my dedicated server on 8/20/2021 at 8pm and leave it running indefinitely, will the day/time just continue to increase (8/21, 8/22, 8/23, etc) or does it reset after a period? Thanks
  12. Is chatter low volume and also very static-y for anyone else? Sort of like the sound when you pull a 3.5mm jack in and out of a port- that cracking noise. I’m getting that every time the chatter keys up.
  13. Can anyone explain why on my Persian Gulf missions, airport and carriers are listed as OIBA or OMAA? In the case of airfields, it will have like 4, 5, 6 of them just all listed as OMAA so you can't identify which airport to call. And on my custom mission I just had the George Washington listed as OBIA (Finally listed the name but not until I was within like 10 miles). Thanks! P.S. This is on a custom mission which has airfield capture events and also seems to be a problem when we capture an airfield and then try to look up the ATC to call them, if that makes a difference.
  14. In the mission editor, in the Huey special options, there is a drop down where control is listed as "Pilot, Copilot, Always Ask, Equal Responsibility". Did you see that? I believe you would have to select ask always or equal responsibility to be able to relinquish control at any point.
  15. Hello! I’m trying to find a resource/tutorial for exporting the json stat files created by slmod (just installed it yesterday, it’s really cool!) for my server. It’s just a handful of my IL2 buddies but we are suckers for stats and I’d love to find a way to either get the stats viewable on discord or on a website if necessary. I’m not very experienced with json or lua files…more of a “follow the tutorial and google as you go”. Thanks!

  17. Hello! I just combed through this thread, as I want to install slmod on my squad's server tonight for the sole purpose of gathering stats. We are a small group and it's mostly just for fun, coming from IL2 where we enjoy access to a pretty extensive stats page (not ours, server hosts). Assuming I get the mod running, what would be the easiest method of exporting stats in a way that players can review them at will? We have a discord and, alternatively, I have access to a couple domains if a website would need to be created. This was asked somewhere in the thread, but wasn't answered unfortunately. Thanks!
  18. Did you ever figure this out? I have a friend who is unable to connect and I'm seeing the same thing in my log, while others are able to connect without any issue.
  19. Well, on that note, do you have any idea from that log what the critical error could be in my mission? Or is that not really your area? No worries if not, I will keep trying to figure out what is going on.   23. Yes, I downloaded the map on the server pc with the method of changing the DCS shortcut launcher to install “MarianaIslands_terrain and it appeared to work (the folder shows up in core\mods\terrain as well. I was having the issue despite that
  24. I am unable to add my mission-editor created Marianas map into my server's rotation, which includes a PG and a Caucasus mission. If I try to add the Marianas mission, the server crashes and will not restart. Once I remove the mission from the rotation, everything is fine. Is there anything in a Marianas mission that would be causing this? Dedicated PC for DCS Server. Everything updated fine. Installed Marianas on the server PC without issue. The mission doesn't have any scripts or anything outside of ME itself, just like my other two missions. Thanks!
