I foresee spending hours just flying in the mountains in southern Argentina and southern Chile. The aerial refuelers will be busy topping off our jets' fuel tanks as we enjoy the scenario.

The most recent video showcasing the SA map is impressive. Yet, there is one uncertainty. When will the SA map be available? WIPs and videos about the SA map are great, but we want to buy it and use it for our missions. Releasing the SA map that coincides with a really popular movie that starts this weekend would be wonderful.

If the SA map was released today, then Razbam and ED would make oodles of money. MFT

40th SOC Opening Recruiting for 8 Pilots
Mike Force Team replied to Lawndart99's topic in General DCS Squadrons
I completed my application. Did you get it? MFT -
I am so stoked for the south Atlantic map. I did not know razbam used 3-d satellite images for the map. In turn, I say, "Wow!!" The HMS Invincible is a catalyst for many future missions and campaigns. For the finished product, I wonder how much it will cost. MFT

The south Atlantic map is approximately 3.3 million square miles. For a real-world comparison, the United States is approximately 3.8 million square miles. Large hard drives or SSDs are needed for the upcoming map. MFT
-
To add realism to the south Atlantic map, I suggest a real-world direct weather feed to the platform. This allows us to fly missions in current weather. MSFS has a similar feature enabled in their software. MFT

@LooseSeal As we approach the summer months, people will play DCS. Variety is the spice of gaming life, especially with different maps. For at least two years, map suggestions spanning the globe appear in the wish forum. There are modules, such as a Cuba map that includes South Florida. We do not have this map but would be quite popular. I know ED gives incremental updates on their products. I know they publicize the information for everyone to see when new things are available. MFT

@BIGNEWY In the dcs map wish list, we have suggestions that span the globe. Here are some comments and questions. We know the South Atlantic map will be available soon. In the meantime, ED is working on a WWII Marianas island map. What other maps will ED be working on? In our available maps, many have water and ships. Does ED plan to update the maps showing the ocean floor? What about adding marine life to the shore areas? One map that would be popular is Cuba and and southern Florida. Our jets align with this time period in the 1960s. While people post their map wishes, we do not what ED is doing aside from the two maps already discussed. MFT

@BIGNEWY Right now, everyone has the black shark 2. We see the easter eggs of information for the black shark 3. Do we receive an upgrade for free since we have the black shark 2 or do we have to buy the black shark 3? MFT

We Want To Hear Your Ideas For A New Map In DCS!
Mike Force Team replied to danielzambaux's topic in DLC Map Wish List
At the beginning of 2022, ED released the video that showed various jets and choppers. The coordinates appear at the end of the video showed Bagram AB in Afghanistan. I hope ED releases this kind of map soon. MFT -
ED should hiring a building engineer that has programming experience. The engineer can use his experience and knowledge to create realistic building damage systems.

@rkk01 I was hoping the south Atlantic map would be available by the end of May. It would be a great time to play in the new virtual world during the memorial day weekend. MFT

We want the early-release discount prices for waiting on the South Atlantic Map. MFT

@BIGNEWY The ED forum showed information that the Mirianas Islands WW II map is currently being developed. When the Mirianas Islands WW II map is available to everyone, will ED have a discussion about their experiences? The discussion, which could be a podcast or video, might talk about subjects such the inspiration for the map, any challenges experienced in creating the map, and solutions implemented to problems. It also gives the opportunity to ask questions. MFT

@Boosterdog Please post the links for the podcasts you discussed regarding Razbam discussing the south map and other developments. Thank you.

@syzygy Here is an example of the time invested. For the Mirage-2000, the software developers spent 8 years real-world time creating it. MFT

Countless virtual pilots wait the eventual release of the south Atlantic map. We look forward to playing in it with our jets. So, this leads to a request. After the south Atlantic map is available on ED'S website, can razbam give a follow-up interview? The interview or podcast would reveal some background information such as minor or major challenges while creating the map as well as implementation of solutions. Additionally, we would like to hear razbam's beta testers and developers share their experience. MFT

@BIGNEWY Right now, we receive thej periodic updates about the various maps, jets, and choppers. It is clear they are a work in progress. Yes, we wait until the desired products are available for release. Here is a request. When the south Atlantic map is finally released, will the ED beta testers post an interview? Myself, perhaps others, are interested in hearing about their experiences during the south Atlantic map's testing, any challenges, and how the challenges were overcome. Here is another request. Will ED do a postcast that discusses the next map they are we developing? As customers, we like to hear what new maps are being developed. MFT

@Dealtswiftly Welcome to DCS. We are happy that you joined. I, too, have the f/a-18. It is a more forgiving and user-friendly jet for new pilots. Do you plan on getting any maps or helicopters? Mike Force Team
