Hello, Razbam. We know the developers and beta testers are working on the south atlantic map, the F-15, and other projects. What is the latest news? When will they be available for the virtual pilots? On a related topic, what is the latest updates on the F-4? While we enjoy the video teaser, there has been silence as for new updates. What is the latest news on the F-4 and when will it be available? MFT

I agree that a Baltic Sea map would be a great addition to the DCS maps. Along with the Viggens, the F/A-18s would enjoy both landing on runways as well as aircraft carriers. MFT

I listened to the 75-minute podcast that with the Razbam developers. They discussed the South Atlantic map, which us also called the Falkland Islands map. Razbam gave some new information, which piqued my interest. They have a virtual map that will take approximately 68 GB space on a hard drive. Additionally, the map represents approximately 3 million square miles. For comparison, the US is approximately 3.8 million square miles. It is on par with the Syria map. They tried something with their ships. They placed the ships in one corner to reach another corner of the map. The ships ran out of fuel. I learned the the developers will allow people to pick different seasons. The end-users can select a range of temperatures for the season. Razbam did not give a specific release date. They said release date in 2022. Yet they hinted that EA was testing the South Atlanta map. No release date given for the F-15. In the meantime, we must wait until EA and Razbam decide the South Atlantic map is ready for Early Access release. The falkland islands map is on my wish list. MFT

Yes, we want the F-1. We want it now. We want to use our exocet missles to sink the bad guys' ships. MFT

@henshao The real-world experience of the F-1 purchase is likely to reveal bugs since it is a new jet. Valid point. MFT

Adding a naval assets team would be a wise investment. ED does well in jets and choppers but lags in the naval assets. We like to see consistency across ED. We have enjoyment in planes and choppers but experience frustration with the ehhhh naval assets. MFT

Look at the video on YouTube called DCS World 2022 and beyond. Fast forward to almost the end of the video around 4:34 or so. You will see static on the screen followed by coordinates that appear very briefly. Then the video will zoom down to the Bagram air base where it looks down up AC-130 gunships. MFT

The best solution is to update and upgrade the damage modeling. The model damage is not realistic when a fully loaded f/a-18 crashes into the side of a warships that shows 1% damage. Hopefully, we will see better model damage modeling soon. MFT

In a teaser video, ED revealed coordinates. The coordinates lead to the Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. There is speculation this might be another map. MFT

I know ED at least reads the forum responses. ED is looking to hire people. This is likely an implied response to our requests, which could lead to the naval assets being improved. MFT

It is possible that ED might announce the F-4e, the F-15, and the south Atlantic map. We are keeping our fingers crossed while waiting for new announcements. MFT

We have discussed different jets, especially those publicized in online posts and teaser videos. When we ask for release dates, the responses are general. So, when is a possible time for new planes to be announced? One possible date is around May 27, 2022. That date is when the highly anticipated sequel movie Top Gun 2: Maverick is released in the movie cinemas. ED might release new planes and other modules at that time. It would be awesome if ED celebrated the release of Top Gun movie with related themes and missions. I am expressing my opinions. I have no knowledge of what ED will do. MFT

The other day, I saw DCS posted job vacancy positions with their company. It looks like the company is seeking qualified candidates to create new planes and jets for them. Perhaps DCS might use the newly hired people to work on naval assets. This is my speculation, of course. MFT

@Mike_Romeo I wanted the sonic cone to appear behind the jet when flying above the ocean at low altitudes. Thanks for showing the sonic cone on the JF-17. MFT

I saw the various positions being advertised in the forum with ED. For the qualified people that have the needed technical skills, they are likely to contribute to ED's planes, choppers, and more. I hope some of the positions might be used to update the naval surface ships and submarines. MFT
