  1. Cool pics, for an iPhone. You can tell it is commercial due to the altitude, as I never got that high out there. As to the Nellis theater, that is pretty much all I fly, as I know the area from years ago, and it is a good place to wring things out. As to the psych visits, the wife has been trying to get me committed for sim addiction for over twenty years. Dodged the bullet thus far... :D
  2. It has been close to 20 years since I hovered over the ranges by Nellis, but as near as I can recollect, they were north and west of Creech AB, which was named Indian Springs Auxiliary, back in the day. This area I found on GoogleMaps doesn't look horribly dissimilar... Lat- Lon - 36.876095,-115.934908
  3. You might just have to get up an hour earlier! Could be a good `wake-up' mission. Myself, I still have 3 hours to go until i get off, and hope to fire it up then. It sounds like a little bit of heart and soul went into it, so it should be good...
  4. G-Reb? The ex-BlitzPig? How you been, old Son? My last review for a print magazine was over a year ago. The dearth of subject matter done kilt my column...
  5. Agree wholeheartedly! Never liked the Tigers, love the tusks, unless it is a P-40E. As to the BDU-33's, of the hundreds of bombs I loaded, fully 90% were these, and more than half were on A-10s. A staple of peace-time practice and those un-deployed. Wonderful pics, wish I could have been there as it is only about a 5 hour drive. Lastly, the Gau-8 noise is just hard to describe, but very distinct. Avenger lust, yes! :D
  6. That, and then you can open in the mission editor and tweak to perfection. At least that is one way I've done it...
  7. OK, I LOL'd on this one...
  8. A throttle for the rudder axis? That sounds painful. As to the price on the heavy metal Warthog, I agree with Mower, that is WAY outta line, IMHO. I'll just struggle along with my X-52 Pro, un-twistied, and pair of Saitek pedals. The Warthog would rock, but I just put together a new system a few months back and am still in the doghouse for it...
  9. Very handy, appreciate it...
  10. Blasphemy! Atari did not make the Amiga, Commodore did. Although the Atari ST was very similar. Speaking of Commodore, how about "Project : Stealth Fighter" by MicroProse on the C=64? It pre-dated F-19, and was more fun, IMHO...
  11. I have to test a color printer I'm working on tonight, and cannot think of a better test subject than this. Nicely done!
  12. I have seen the A-10A nose in the air IRL at RAF Bentwaters in the 80's. No ammo, need ballast plates. Of course, on landing it is a bit much...
