Per title, i remember that the PRF tone library for the ALR-56M was going to come from Heatblur and the F-4. Now it seems that the F-4 has recieved its RWR sounds with different pitches for different emitters, does this make the handoff functionality any closer for the F-16? And can we expect the same functionallity or will ours be different? Thanks!

fixed HSD (y-axis) and HAD (both axes) cursor acceleration issue
VarZat replied to GCRev's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Pretty sure its been fixed? -
Wow, thank you for the very good post! @RogueSpecterGaming Interesting findings on the 8vs10-degree pitch, i always just learned that 10-degrees was the correct way to do it. I also hope this helps the ED team to investigate this further, its a very detailed post. Again thank you for taking the time to test this even further then i did, and offering your insight.

Looking forward to it

@BIGNEWY @NineLine Hey, is there any plan/response on this? Seems like a pretty important feature that is missing
-
Thank you for the effort! If you set it to correct as-is i hope you can give an updated table that i can use in the manual
-
I think maybe you miss-interpreted the issue. Its not that the backstick pressure is too much, i always use full back stick (Using a Realsimulator FSSB R3) but the aircraft in DCS doesnt react like both your manual and the real world source i sent to BigNewy says it should.
-
Rotate speed is the speed you start your stick back action and takeoff speed is where the jet should go weight-off-wheels. At MIL power takeoff you should rotate 10kts before takeoff speed, 15kts for AB

I have also flown the viper for a similar amount of time, and while it probably has been this way for a long time, i dont think its correct. Growing up in a "viper-city" i have always watched F-16s jump up after takeoff. If you saw my post a few replies up, you can see that when i do exactly as "the book" says, i end up far over the calculated takeoff speed, and the jet barely responds at all at rotate speed. So its not something im just coming up with, but its something i have been noticing for a long time but only now felt the urge to investigate.

correct as is TO/LOG CONFIG lights up with controls wipe

Alright, thanks -
correct as is TO/LOG CONFIG lights up with controls wipe
VarZat replied to VarZat's topic in Bugs and Problems
Your source that its correct? From the manual it says no FLCS light should illuminate when operating controls -
Sorry, do you still need the evidence?

Woops. looks like this one didnt make it in on the last comment F-16 TAKEOFF 40000lb.trk
-
Im not sure what causes this, but when i do a controls wipe (move the stick around on the ground) the TO/LOG CONFIG warning lights up for 0.1 second occasionally, along with a WARN in the HUD. Is this as intended? I have observed this in both CAT I and CAT III F-16 CONTROLS WIPE.trk

I did another test, referencing your manual where it states at a weight of 40000lb, takeoff speed should be 188 kts. Also referencing the HAF F-16C/D -1 manual, it states that rotation speed for AB takeoff should be computed takeoff speed -15kts This gives a rotate speed of 173kts. When i try this, the aircraft barely reacts at rotate speed, and im still unable to lift off untill im over 200kts. There is now wind in the mission.null

An issue i have been encountering for a while. As the title states, the takeoff rotation in the F-16 in DCS seems to be very slow. In the video below you can see that the F-16C IRL with this configuration needs around 1 second to go from nose at horizon to takeoff pitch (10°) - When i replicate the same configuration(2x bag, 2x GBU-12, 2xAIM-120, LITENING) - Calculate takeoff speed (Rotate 161kts, takeoff 176) - Im barely able to acheive 10° in 4 seconds, and im at 200kts before im able to go weight-off-wheels. - Realisticly, 200kt with weight-on-wheels is dangerous and can lead to over stressing the wheels. Thanks for the job that you do mods! F-16 TAKEOFF BUG TRACK.trk

The HSD is not a sensor and it would not be logical to use it for marking purposes, hence why its not in the F-16 IRL. My suggestion is using the compass needle on the TGP screen to slew the pod in the right direction, and make a educated guess on the distance and look for any heat signature. Another option is using the OA1/2 which allows you to input an OA from a steerpoint with a specific heading and range.

reported earlier SA-11 no RWR Warning after update
VarZat replied to TobiasA's topic in General Bugs
Will test, but u sure the SA-11 isnt using its camera? -
@BIGNEWY DM sent with proof! Lets hope this works.

Can you confirm if the CDE circle is a part of the 4.2+?
