Hi Maybe I am being really dumb here...but.... How can I set up the controls for all aircraft at the same time. Basically, I want all the axis and axis fine tunning the same, all keyboard commands the same ( I change keyboard commands to the same as I have in BS or else my brain will be fried) and also I have assigned all controls to my pro throttle and flight stick. To do 1 aircraft takes me about 1 hour to get it fine tunned and tested. To do them all will take me ages. I have 22 buttons mapped to throttle and 8 to joystick. I know some aircraft have some variations so I believe its not possible to copy the control file (this way is new to me). Surely it would have been easier to have an option to map axis and controls to all aircraft THEN to select the individual aircraft and change the settings that are unique to that aircraft only...oder?? Thanks for any suggestions. Basically, I just want to fly, and to keep the wife off my back!

I need to test it more, I have to find the situation where I have terrible banding effect on the mountains and then try this mod. Give you some results later. GFX card is GTX260.

Same problem here, BS and FC2. Can't locate that file anywhere in my bazar folder. Can you tell me exactly how to install it?

- pressing next Nav waypoint in A10 hangs up when you get to the last waypoint...bug or intended. Need to change to different mode, then back to Nav to get back to waypoint 1 for example. - distance to waypoint does not update when you change to A2G mode - on A10 bomb practise, I takeoff then get the audible noise when you pass the inner/outer marker (i think thats what it is) but this beeping continues throuout the missions until I passed over it again during landing. - Laucnhing missles is completely silent, hard to tell when its launched. - In F15, Mach reads 1.2 but sonic boom not active? - Damage model of enemy units, 100 rounds of A10 30mm causes the truck to explode 10 seconds after the pass....not very realisitc at all! - SU25T unflyable when TV optics on, frame rate drops 75%, blackshark shows no frame rate drop for an identical graphics set up?? Some may not be bugs, I'm just getting back into Lockon after a while away. Great job though. Nightmare setting up the keys for each aircraft individually!!

$15 has different values to different people. Like I said, I will wait on some feedback and see what I do. The thought of online multiplaying with DCS sounds great. I now see that it is a bit more than a patch, lets wait and see.

If they had made an advanced flight model for some more aircraft other than the SU25T, I would have been over the moon, I would have paid $50 just for a fighter with advanced flight dynamics but instead it looks like they have left them in their arcade state and concentrated on the bullets bouncing of objects correctly. Is this an early April fools joke?? After flying the KA50, SU25T and IL2 4.09 only for a long time, I jumped back into the F15 and was completely shocked by how arcade it felt. Now I remember why I have not flown any of these basic models for about a year!

Apache is good, his 2nd book "Hellfire" is much better IMO.

I was taxiing to the hanger but my blades clipped the wall so I ejected, landed on the roof of the hanfer and could then jump off the hanger into the burning chopper!

I have been using AH a lot online and it works a dream - Slow to a hover - Trim the controls to centre (do not trim to keep the aircraft perfectly stable!) - Disengage the FD - Hold her steady as there will be a little added instability as the FD is off - When steady, hit autohover. Seems to work everytime. The above sequence doesn't take long, perhaps 10 seconds at most.

For me, it all depends on what resolution I run. I have a C2D at 3.5Ghz and a GTX260. My FPS stays constant at 60FPS which is limitied by the LCD because I have vsync on. I’m at work right now so I can’t check what resolution I use. I remember, if I run at 1920X1200, I get a steady 25FPS. This sounds ok, but there are lots of micro stutters, maybe 3 a second, making unplayable. If I lower the resolution down a little (can’t remember to what right now), I get 60FPS and the micro stutters are gone! It is dead smooth and I really don’t notice the drop in resolution anyway, in game settings are ALL maxed out…result! The other nice thing is that you can set the aspect ratio, so if you drop the resolution, you can still have everything nicely in proportion. I think I use 16:10 I tried reducing some of the ingame settings but they made a very small difference and it wasn’t worth it. Try a lower resolution and put in game graphics to high, I’m sure your 260 can handle it like mine. Iain

I only just put the FD on for the 1st time tonight and what a difference. I can actually do stall turns, co-ordinated turns at any speed. I have been fighting this yaw problem for weeks and couldn't understand how the online flying was so precise and had no yaw oscillations after turns etc. Now it flies like a beast! I have the master arm, laser, weapons pylons, fd, cannon, lock, zoom, park brake, ...ok, I have everything mapped and have completed some short sorties and flying display without letting go of stick or collective...I luv this game now!!! I done a hard landing and the complete tail broke off, managed to fly around for 15 mins, and land back, ejected after landing and the pilot landed on the hanger roof, then I jumped off the roof onto the rotor blades, strange sortie!!! Also putting the dials to 256 res sorted my micro stutters and the cockpit looks no worse.

The sim may even be harder to fly. Without peripheral vision and especially G-forces, you have to watch your guages and ASI etc to get an idea what is going on. In the real thing you feel the movements without having to look in the cockpit so much. I had about 10 years FS experience when I went to California on a training course with Applied Materials. I called the local airfield (Henderson) and booked a introduction flight for much cheapness! I told the instructor I had about 3 or 4 hrs on a cessna just so he didn't go on about the very basics. He asked if I was happy to do the takeoff etc and I said why not. I froze when I should have been talking to ATC (Vatsim wasn't around then) so I asked if he could do that. Takeoff was funny, I zig zagged a bit but once I was up, it was soooo much easier than flight sime. The sensation of flying helped a lot. We done some 360 degree steep turns, felt great and I kept my eye on the vsi and help it at zero the whole turn. Landing was good, slight bump, stall horn at about 1ft off the deck and I had the breaks on when I touched as the pedals seemed a bit small for my boat feet. Anyone that hasn't flown in real life but has a lot of flight sim experience should really try it.

Press Control+Enter to get your control inputs displayed. When you press trim reset, it also trims the rudder, so if you press it when you have full deflection on, it will stay there until you centre it and press trim again.

I think I remapped mine to Lwin plus F1.....Remap of the year!! I couldn't find how to change it by default either.

I have had about 15 in the Forest Frap in 159th MP with cloud and rain. When the weather is nice, usually about 30 or 40, up to 60 when there isn't much scenerey around. Settings are on high. E8500 @3.8, 8800GT, XP, 4GB PC6400

Seems to be. During level flight, my roll trim is set to the left to compensate and the rudder is to the right. Controls are all crossed! The idea of trimming so much just seems a bit strange considering that Kamov are trying to prove that it is possible for a single pilot to fly and fight in such a helicopter with being overloaded!

Same PC as mince, I average maybe 30fps so you are just fine!

If you ever played the 1st release of Lockon the you will know BS is a dream come true!

try returning your joystick to centre position quicker, sounds like you are trimming then not centering your stick quick enough.
