The new X Wing fighter ! I have seen the video on the official updates but it says that the release is late 2016 or even in 2017. My question is why are they showing this now in early 2015. It also looks as if it's finished !! Mizzy

For me DCS works way better than most games, it's a computer game so there will be bugs. I just feel that DCS 2 is not that far away and I don't want to be modding stuff that just won't work or transport over to the new game. It's just a waste of time. Ohh, yes I see what you mean, but at least I will know DCS 2 will be around a long time so learning it's file structure for mods will be an investment. @Crazyeddie, what are you talking about, "if I am still above ground" !! Ever so slightly things change and mods don't work, I have flyable tomcat, tornado, Typhoon etc, work fine in 1.2.10 but broke in 1.2.12 ....and so on. Remember it's only my choice, I am not proselytizing my views on anyone else !! Mizzy

I have just bought Mig 15 and thought I wanted to do some mods and artwork etc. But DCS moves it's goal posts in almost every upgrade in DCS 1. It's my belief that people who wish to mod the game will be better off waiting for DCS 2 as it seems more of a single product rather than a platform that needs changing every time a new module is introduced. Since my main interest in DCS is artwork and playing around with mods and stuff, I thought it's best to wait for the DCS 2 version. I don't fight in this game or any other game for that matter so no point for me to continue until the new lovely version 2 comes out and then I can play with all it's new mod friendly stuff that makes ED/TFC simulator the best out there....in my humble opinion that is ! Mizzy

Yes Flanky, it was a matter of alpha channel saturation which gave it that milky look. I have uploaded it to user files on the ED main page :-) The Typhoon was a model someone posted to me a while ago, I have no idea where it comes from or who did it. I am assuming it's a legal model !! Mizzy

The alpha channel on the new Su24 for the cockpit glass was far too light, so I have made it look like proper cockpit glass. I have also done a rework for the Typhoon. The pictures attached show BOTH the old glass and the new, it's pretty obvious which is which. I have uploaded it to the user file section under Mizzy, it's not showing up yet though. Mizzy

How to place sam sites in the mission editor, they seem a bit difficult and I have just found an appetite to try and avoid them. Mizzy P.S. I know how to place them but not how to get them to work !!

You shouldn't have to justify price, it was pretty obvious why it was an extra $10 which is £6.68 for me and £40.04 in total. It's not going to break the bank and as I have always said, se obtiene lo que se paga y productos de calidad no son baratos. :-) Reasonable price to me compared to all the crap you pay for in FSX !! Yes that is the way forward for quality flight simulation products and DCS World as the world leader platform to sell such products is the way forward. ED would never release any crap under their licence agreements but look at the load of shit released under FSX agreements !! Mizzy

Quality products cost money !! Look at the shite products developers sold in FSX for the same cost and you bought nothing to do with quality !! I advocated ED doing this type of business model way back in the early 2000s, looks like they actually listened to me ! Mizzy

I can't help thinking it's a mistake ! Why make a payware campaign for the Su27 ? Why did they (ED etc) not make a campaign for the Su27 and sell it with the Su27 module as a package?. It just doesn't make marketing sense to me. Mizzy
