I don't know what to say but thank you for all your comments. I have some time on my hands so i thought I would give what I can to the Lock On community. These are updates frome today. WIP as requested more shots of the Kuzzy :) Im on a roll at the mo! lol The only thing I must say is that I used the 'Dirt Decks' mod as a foundation so credit to the chappy or lassy who did those. Mizzy

Gee thank you VERY much and to all your comments :) When I finish the package (not long) I will include the following: weapons pack (not that I do much fighting in the sim) ships, environmental tweakie things, my own aircraft skins and misc pack (cockpit glass etc.) My stuff is NOWHERE NEAR Grandsurf et. al. but should complement all other mods without conflict and shared textures. Off to go swimming now. Mizzy

Well everyone is getting in on doing something for this wonderful sim and since i have the time at the moment (made redundant but no great loss, I hated the job anyway :D) I thought I would work on some textures myself. As some may be aware, I love 'weathered look' skins and textures so here are some. Still working on new cockpit glass and here is the finished F16. I can't find the F5 canopy glass so if anyone can direct me, it would be appreciated. Now the new style fog settings and texture tweak. I have also done weathered texture for numerous weapons and missiles and I hope to put them all in a big package soon. Mizzy

This may have been mentioned before but the first 9 ship barrel roll was the RAF Red Arrows. I saw it done at RAF Waddington 2004. They made a big issue of its skill needed to pull it off. I also think they did it in the famous "Diamond Nine" formation. Mizzy

This is where I got the idea of the skin from and the info about the pengy. Very strange but when i set up a mission using the Norwegian F16 to fight or to ground pound, it seems that they are more skillful AI pilots than the USA F16s. This may well be in RL as the Scandi Guys are very well trained but with limited military resource. It could be just my imagination though and I am getting in trouble recently staying up too late! Norway uses the Penguin and this weapon is fully configured for their F16s as the said aircraft was modular (software) designed for specific Countries weapons requirements. The sale of the F16 to other Nations and procurement of USA weapons treaties was also fundamental in its (F16) design without giving any specific nation particular weapons secrets. The f16 must be the best example of this concept hence its ubiquitous use....sale of the century!!! anyone remember? Fact! On the other hand just use LOPE for Flaming cliffs... works like a dream :D . Alpha, lighten up, my humour can be a bit dry at times ;) Mizzy

I have been researching into various country's use of the F16 and I came accross the little known fact that Norway depoys their F16s using the Penguin. So I take it that the F16 can be used for just about any role in modern air combat and theatre of war. So why hasn't the penguin been added to the Norway missile configs in FC like so: Do I have to do everything myself to make this game realistic :) Mizzy

Stormy, Europeans don't laugh at North Americans, at least I and all people that I know don't, because the average american is exactly the same as the average European etc. what we do laugh at is silly videos with stupid OVER THE TOP commentory ;) You appear over the top patriotic if you consider that commentory in the video nothing but OTT !! yes i will, just need to do some work on the alpha channels. I have done the Mig29, F4 Su17, Su27, Su30, F16, tornado, Mig25/31. People can take them or leave them (hint hint) Mizzy

I said "rarely" not Never ;) I think the argument is which is the more common and there seems to be more blueish canopy than gold. let the flames begin. Mizzy

Its the 'new look' Lock on FC ! The futures bright, the futures ED ;) I can't wait to see what the have come up with for us small but dedicated aviation enthusiasts. BTW even my Partner is taking interest in FC and BS and that is a BIG leap in turning someones interest around! He couldn't stand aeroplanes and used to look at me as some sort of freak. Mizzy
