Oh yeah I forgot to add... since ED gave us a few tools to work with, its been a mods frenzy :D Tomcatz creations are nothing shot of genius and now I read that we are going to get a big overhaul on graphics by some very talented Guy very soon. Yes I think that now our computers can run the thing this must have helped Lock On (or FC which is what I play). It just goes to show, if we are able to mod a game and the more modable it is, the greater the interest in it and its longivity. I am not getting into the arguments about BS cos it always ends up in BS! ;) But, I think BS should be stand alone :D Mizzy

that around the net, the interest in Lock On seems to have grown quite substantially. There are more visitors and posters at Simhq than ever before for instance. For me its no surprise with Lock on posessing the best flight model in any sim (excluding x-plane) and so many wonderful mods out there. Yep, I see a very bright future for ED and TFC, there is obviously a lot happening since the fiasco of the original Lock on and the dreadful decision to have Ubisoft as the distributor. Keep it up, Lock on is still my favorite game/simulator and its getting better and better - well done ED. Mizzy

Just wondering since I am getting lean and mean in my old age. I have notched up over 10 Air to air kills now and getting excited, but I like IL2 and the flak gun, it gets really scary flying with those things around! Mizzy

The AFM is a gift to the flight sim community in itself!! ;) I admit it's a pity that we only have the Su25 at present, but have the feel of a real aircraft flying on our PCs is quite incredible. Thank you Eagle Dynamics for giving us what you have already over the years. Mizzy

hello all I am off to Elvington this August to see the...... VULCAN :eek: I never thought it would happen but it is still scheduled for flight>>>>>> :) I know, what a sad person I must be, but the 'V' Bombers were incredible British inventions and my Dad said that the Vulcan could move like a fighter in the air! He said it was incredible to see the 5 man airframe maneuver in the air. Sad we won't see the Vixen or the Valiant ever again :( However we may one day see the EE Lightning and the Bucc, but I am not holding my breath since the MoD never seemed to think that these wonderful aircraft should be preserved... which silly tit in the MoD made that decision needs a rocket up his arse and the sack for giving up our (British) aviation heritage; the Civil Servant wanker. Omega dear don't you think there are more important things to consider in Big Shark? Many here are wanting bug fixes and/or improvements to central issues and not some minor/trivial nonsense that is NOT central to the 'game'. Frankly, this is a waste of thread space on this forum. Good evening all at FC (Lock On is gone for me, its FC now) and hope all is well :) Well, let me tell you a tail of my flight sim escapades recently. I have been flying FS2004 for the last six weeks and it has been really good with all the freeware and payware add ons, I mean the gazzillion amount of it out their due to MSFS modular design..... BUT........ Nothing comes remotely close to the flight model of Eagle dynamics Su25/25t. I am astounded by the quality of the Su25t flight and you even get a full modeling of weapon delivery in the add on FC :eek: I have spent over £150 on add-on things with MSFS 2004, things like the Alphasim Vampire, PSS Vulcan, Sea Vixen and enhancements of environment, ground and sky, you name it..but NOTHING compares to the Lock on environment, its textures and terrain OR the Su25/25t for a truly wonderful flight experience. EDs terrain and simulation is way over and above anything out there for people like me who just fly around for fun but appreciate a good flight model/world environment. I just get goosey (goose bumps to the non Yorkshire folk around here) at the thought of ED making their simulation modular for other third party developers to contribute :) I mean the ones who like to fight get on with fighting and the ones who like the sensation of simulated flight get the Su25/t AFM to keep them happy. There are a lot of by standers watching and waiting for JT who say nothing ... like me. This looks a wonderful development and straight from the heart but I only hope that shitty politics (which was what the war was all about... then again arn't all wars ;-) ) does not enter this games development. Having said that Lock on seems to have escaped this to a certain degree, even though we do get the 'I am from the USA and the F15 is dumbed down cos its Ruskies who developed this'.... crap crap crap. I suppose its the same with all war games really, look at IL2 and the Luftwankers! Mizzy.

Hear is just a small example of the MSFS community charges for...ehhem.. a single aircraft that does..ehhem.... nothing but fly around doing nothing but err take off and land......erhem.... and fly around for $34. What a pisser. Geez my Partner bought FC for me at something like Ј19!!! Come on, I just can't understand the combat flight sim community sometimes when, if you were a Microsoft flight sim addict, your add-ons are extremely poor to say the least (virtual cockpits and functionality etc) and some of the developers of this shite charge the same as a full game :eek: GEEZ can you believe it! Ok I know it's a very different market and extremely different business values, but Black Shark would be like a 5th dimension in terms of value as a flight simer to the MSFS community ;) Let us consider when BS does come out, it will be a quantum leap ahead of the Micro-shite addons, please consider this when certain people here start spouting volumes of effluence on this virtual notice board.
