i mean, it would kinda be self explainatory, if you dont have the mod that adds the missile, you wont get a warning for it, since it doesnt exist for you.

Su-30MKK Full fid or FC3 version?
Wyvern replied to TaxDollarsAtWork's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
I hope so too. I wonder, now that MAC got shelved, does it mean we COULD get some more modern Red in form of an FC type aircraft? Maybe something like the Su-30 mod? It did some impressive progress in terms of multirole FC abilities, with custom TWS, and AG/SEA radar, guided AG weapons, a custom RWR, NAV mode, and and and, all in one package. Sure there would be people that would be upset its not a fullly clickable plane, but if its the only way, i think it would be an acceptable compromise. If I remember correctly Deka said 2 years ago that their Su-30MKK is quite far as an internal project. Even the early variants should still be sufficient, with TV and SEAD weaponry. Correct me if I am wrong, but from what i can tell, all the original Su-30MKKs have been upgraded to MK2s or "MK3" with chinese components, meaning the Su-30MKK isnt in service as that anymore. I dont want to sound like an echo, but the only Red modern plane being a Half-half jet is kind of disappointing (even tho the Jeff is amazing). I think our most modern red plane is a mid-90s Flanker, while the majority of the Blue planes early to mid 2000s. It makes fighting a complete uphill fight, especially when their most modern missile is the AIM-120C, while the R-27 family isnt complete/fully implemented capability and variant wise. Its great that the R-27 actually is able to regain track again, after it being broken for about a year. While the way its implemented isnt exactly correct from what i know (i may also be misinformed) the result is still the same, which for a currently FC3 locked missile is absolutely fine. It would be interesting to have a R-27EP variant, which is basically an R-27E with a Passive seeker, designed against Tomcats and AWACS. The functionality exists in the game, the implementation that the Project Flanker Mod team has is quite good. Long Story short, Will we ever get the R-27EP, and are there any FC type modern aircraft planned to fill the Redfor gap? -

fully remade the skin and made 3 versions of this: -High Vis, (the black writing) -Low Vis, (the white writing and low-vis markings) -Regular, (no writing and emblems on both wings) All 3 feature corrected colors, are in 4k, a fully hand-drawn shark emblem on the tail and pretty much all other textures have been remade. Im currently waiting on a response from someone, after which I will see whether ill publish it, since I would love to donate skin to Deka, to replace the old skin above

That means the warhead/explosives are turned off, you have to set it "EFUZE" to turn them on, now they should be hitting and killing stuff.

So, youre telling multiple people that actually have seen and/or worked on Apaches that they are wrong? -
I may end up making something new out of this camo. This is just made for my own squadron for now.

Radar Expected Detection Range and Elevation?
Wyvern replied to pauldy's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
all the setting does is point your radar, while the distance is just there so you can finetune the elevation a bit more -
DCS F-16C Early Access, what's left, what's next.
Wyvern replied to RyanR's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
i will second that, i would argue that Mach3DS, Roughmaster, and Texac made some of the single best Vipers out there. -
That isnt the problem, He isn't having a problem with the Description.lua His issue is that he is using a different livery as a base, meaning he has the squadron marks in the roughmet. I get where youre coming from, i know that MV does that, and in that case youre correct, but here its not the issue. As mega said, i wouldnt go and edit someone elses livery. The Clean default textures are here DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\aircraft\FA-18C\Textures\FA-18C.zip And the fuel tank is in here DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\World\textures\AeroWeapons.zip

A lot of painful time and attention to detail. Usally they spend a lot of time researching and using pictures to get panel lines right. There is not real easy way, aside from spending a lot time and manual work on it.

only 2 small corrections i will point out real quick. Generally for Mods, i would not even bother with the ROUGHNESS_METALLIC for the description, unless youre making a custom one for the livery. You should be able to just put it into the Texture folder of the mod, and delete the Specular. DCS usally doesnt use speculars if the RoughMet is present. as for this texture here, im pretty sure this is a Specular, otherwise the texture wouldnt be shiny at all. null As for your Textures Urbi, The Red Channel is almost completely red on yours, which isnt exactly optimal, especially for Air Intakes, or the inside of the Gear bay. That being said in all fairness, there is nothing you could do there, unless you'd have the model, or unless youre an absolute psychopath to try and make a custom AO map... The number is 13 i think it is actually unknown what 12 does. I added some stuff to the red channel here. Its not perfect, but id say its still better than a fully white red channel.

for the blue channel i would usally work off an white or black, as in its either metal or not. That being i do play with the blue channel to get some certain effects.
-
I dont think so, (i cant believe i say this) Urbi is right, this seems like an 3D issue, that being said, i dont know the textures, this MAY be fixable, but im not sure.
-
just keep in mind that you should not change anything in the Red channel. as it is for the Ambient Occlusion, which basically controls how light interacts with certain spots where light wouldnt get to as easily. (i know a certain someone who is going to hate the way i explain it) It basically creates a kind of shadow for those spots to say it in the most simple way. nullYou can see it in this picture here, how the left side of the engine seems to be darker, or how the corner on the spine seems to have a sort of shadow. That is basically what the AO does here.

You do know that mipmaps have NOTHING to do with color? Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

A lot coming from a guy who's in-game skins dont even have Mipmaps

I never claimed they were service missiles? Where are you pulling that out now?

I think you are confusing the J-11A with the Vietnamese Su-27SK. I know that Vietnam was using ukraine to take care of their Su-27s.
-
no it can not. It requires the APK-9 pod here, which is being used on the Su-30, not the J-11A. This is most likely due to how the missile is coded in the game. It has nothing to do with reallife. As you said FC3 is simplifying systems, thats why if you mount an AIM-120, or even an AIM-54 onto the J-11A, it will work, because FC3 takes care of that. That would not be much of an issue, as ECM in DCS is not simulated properly anyway. This is talking about the Su-27UBM/Su-30, again no mention of the J-11A.
-
No you can not. The OLS is not capable of being used as a imaging seeker for ground targets.
-
That post you linked up there is for the Su-27UB and Su-30. Not the J-11A Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk That has been said. The ENTIRE J-11A process was stopped to focus on the JF-17.
