There is no more Open Beta as branches merged yesterday into v2.9.3
-
The reason all 4 appear is because in entry.lua there are 4 entries, one for each variant. I'm not sure DCS aggregates the variants out in the missions like it does for theaters. Anyway, it thinks there are missions there, but even though there are 2 files inthe missions/quickstart folder, there is NO quickstart.lua file there to list/describe the missions

Switching from front seat to rear not working in VR
dleffler replied to Sirbum's topic in Bugs and Problems
For me, that issue was because I had an old F-15E mod and the key bindings go confused so that the number keys set main mode (AA or AG, etc..) I had to remove the old mod, then it worked. -
I've had similar issues under newest MT. Hands, pointer appear, but unable to click on anything. worked with 1st & 2nd MT releases
-
This ST issue was resolved by removing all non 'Saved Game' mods and doing a full repair to remove all extra files from main DCS folder. Still is undetermined what caused the anomaly.

After updating to 2.8.3.38090, it seems to indeed fix several MT issues, but now when in ST (default), whenever you get to the 'Fly' screen everything is black! You can still see the cursor, some flaring and aircraft labels, but the F1, F2, & F3 views are all black BTW, I did do a repair and emptied my pre-compiled shaders

Thanks for the work-around, I appreciate saving me some time doing the same. As a note to others...you'll need to copy/create two configuration files, Options VR MT.lua (from Options.lua.VR) and Options 2D MT.lua (from Options.lua). Also ANY changes to the DCS configuration while running will NOT be saved by the script as the main Options.lua file is overwritten at each running of this batch file.

Motion Blur Low - v2.8.3 odd external view apparition
dleffler replied to dleffler's topic in 2D Video Bugs
Just noticed new 'Motion Blur Amount' setting slider (is this new in 2.8.3?), however adjusting it doesn't alleviate the issue. Must turn Motion Blur setting to either Off or High- 1 reply

After update to beta 2.8.3, there is an odd anomaly in exterior views (F2/F3) where the planes appear to shimmer with multiple wispy shadows as if shaking something really fast. This occurs in both ST & MT bins, but only with Motion Blur set to Low. Turning it to High seems ok. Win 11, i5-11600KF, Z590, 32 Gig @ 3200, RTX 3060Ti, 4K monitor

Busco la misma solucion en otro hilo.

I noted this anomaly in another recent post. He is saying the mod basically works in v2.8.2, but the ADI & Radar displays appear too high above their normal locations and onto the canopy.

FWIW, just as is now, Ground Control Intercept (GCI, EWRS) was used extensively during that war. Equipment was eventually placed within the fighters themselves, but GCI used IFF/SIF to help identify friendly aircraft. Only during peacetime is every aircraft a friend unless they prove otherwise. ROE allows Command & Control to declare aircraft 'hostile' . Though the aircraft commander always has the right to self-defense, they typically have to receive active or passive permission to fire.

I'm not any expert, but have a similar setup though lower PC specs (i7 11600KF, RTX 3060Ti). Still I find acceptable performance. Here's some questions/things to consider: What DCS settings are you using? If it's the same display configuration as your 4K display, you'll definitely be slow, you might start by clicking on the 'VR' preset at the bottom of the 'System' tab. There are several 'VR Tweak' guides throughout the internet. Is this the Steam or Regular version of DCS (Did you purchase it via Steam)? Do you use a USB Link or are you using Air Link (Wifi) connection to the PC from the Quest 2? You might want to consider running to VR support Apps OpenComposite - This provides an OpenXR overlay for DCS which uses OpenVR, allowing you to use the OpenXR Toolkit. I'd suggest downloading the Launcher, unzipping it to a folder, then running and 'installing' it. Download is halfway down this page https://gitlab.com/znixian/OpenOVR OpenXR Toolkit - This app can speed up VR using some graphics driver features such as NIS, FSR, or CAS. You can download this app then install it. https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/ If both have installed successfully, you'll be greeted with a message inside VR welcoming use to the OpenXR Toolkit, and suggesting you press Ctrl-F2 to bring it's settings menu.

For unstable v2.8.1 (at least) the model object 'cvn74' isn't available and crashes. I've tried many variants and even 'Stennis' which will run, but no carrier is visible. Anyone know what model name to use? 'vinson' loads a carrier, but not the intended one.

I'm confused, and haven't seen any details here...how is the CFT mod related to the SUFA mod? Are they both trying to achieve the same goal? What are the differences?

If you want to activate the 4 Instant Actions missions included with this mod, edit the entry.lua file in the root of the mod folder. Add the following before the line before the line 40 which is LogBook = LogBook_list, Missions = { { name = _("SU-30"), dir = "Missions", }, },

Seems to work on Stable v2.7.18, but though initially crashed when loading mission on beta 2.8.1, seems to work on it.

Seems to be working again under beta v2.8.1
