Water FPS Enhancement V2...About 'Very High' Water

So when I fire guns, when shells hit the ground or water. FPS drop dramatically. I have an AMD 3500+, 1GB of RAM, 6800GT. I have tried several Vid drivers, none help. Someone suggested that it was a sound problem. So I did some testing. Editted out the lines for the water and ground explosion 0. Still no good. I even deleted the files, so the sounds not heard, no go. So what I believe it to be, is the impact effect. I have turned effects down to low, and lights to none. No effect. Can someone please help. Its hard to even use the nose cannon, let alone all gunpods on SU25T. There must be a solution. *** Found solution. Turning effects off. Low still causes problem. What is up with this? A 6800GT cant have any effect? Whats the deal?

OT: On the moon thing. I never understood why we havent gone back. I mean it was such a big deal, back when I was just being thought of. Maybe ED will land on the moon!!!! -

The thing ED has going for them, is they dont have to really build from ground up. They have a good graphics engine, and now AFM. FO needs to start fresh. Falcon, needs a mjor overhaul. ED may indeed get the best sim out. Should be very interesting. -

I try not to think of what will come. I am trying to keep my eyes on the near future, and hope for 1.11 soon. After that 1.2. Then maybe I will hope for the next project. -

No, this is 1.2. The patch that we hear about is 1.11. -
My current IFF stance is: It is better to beg for forgiveness, than plead for permission. I have had a good record of not shooting down friendlies. But only because I havent had many furballs where I didnt know who was who. Most of the time when with a wingman I keep an eye on him, and so I dont lock him.

Yeah I had asked about this before, and what I got was that the water wasnt rendered unless you can see it. But then you would expect FPS to drop if you went below the ground level in externals. I dont know, but I doubt it will change.

Black is beautiful. That last screen shot. By the angle to the HUD, this is 6DOF for vector expansion? Also, screen of map MFD, this is view of mission editor? -
Like a heatsink just falling off is an ordinary occurance. AMD implemented this type of technology. Notice how they use a Pentium 4, but not a newer AMD. Another stab by Intel to retain unknowing consumers. *edit* I had a friend who had a dual CPU mobo. I forget what chip, I am thinking celeron, but we were testing because 1 was dead, and we had a spare. The chip didnt just smoke, it cracked. Before windows even finished booting. We would test CPUs to see if they POST'ed all the time without heatsink. Never after that.

Yes lightening will. Less mass, the less force needed to apply a change in direction. That is why I said a jettison-able part to missle. We were speaking on a what-if, super missle. I was also saying that retractable fins would be good to, to decrease drag at first.

Lockon future, or lockon successor future? Seems like it might be a of code. Not sure how radar and stuff works now, seems like you would have to write some RCS algorithm. Bet it would make chaffs more realistic. And with the buddy lasing thing. Seems like it would be a bit of code too. Is there not a way to transfer which laser missle is slaved to? Sorry OT, this is bug thread.

Aerodynamic drag = 1/391*Cd*A*V² So 0=(1/391*Cd*A*V²)-(a*M) *edit* <- Dont know what I did. So given a missle. High mass is good, because the momentum will help fight the drag. But when the missle needs to make large changes in direction, which is acceleration, less mass is good. Higher drag is good.

Momentum = Mass x velocity. Inertia = resistance to change in motion. Momentum is a function of velocity, where inertia is a function of acceleration.

Yeah I am aware of inertia. And if you were aware of it, you would also know that the more inertia, the harder it is for the object to change directions. Which is acceleration. And you even state what I meant. The less mass, the faster drag slows it down. You would want to do this in final phase, so it is easier to steer.

It would also probably be best if the missle could jettison part of itself. The area that holds the fuel, is just added weight in end phase.

Acceleration works both ways. Ideally, you would think it should burn most of its fuel early. Gain speed, loses weight. With retractable grid fins. Low drag when accelerating, extend fins on final phase to increase drag to turn.

One thing I did notice when I was using a widescreen, when you looked back to the wing at the edge of the screen, then you can see things start to distort and stretch. But that was it. And it was very annoying to have it reset everytime. Mainly because the Su25T needs different axis curves, and so I had to re-edit the file if I switched AC. -
Explosion is very impressive. Much larger than what LOMAC gets.

I prefer them to focus on things that pertain to where the action is. In the sky. I really dont see toe-braking with differential braking important. -
