  1. This is so awsome to hear. Really. This one fix alone, will help a lot with missions. And balance for the F15's with AWACS involved.

  3. but encoders can be made many ways. A hall-effect can be used for an encoder.
  4. On most of the motors we use on the machines at work, they have an encoder side. The encoder is a disk with slits in it. There is a photo-interrupt sensor that watches the slits go by.
  5. So what is your forcast for the LOMAC sucessor then? FO says around 2-3quarter 2006. Will they be selling at the same time? image, 2 kick ass sims to fly at once.

  7. I am a westerner, and the intrique I have with the game, is that it is the Russian aircraft. Stick with them, I like the F15, but its not what the game is about. And I think they have taken that approach with the Su25T and the Ka50. Having the F15 is nice, and any other plane someone has done. Its too bad that everyone in the flight sim community uses such different code. Image FO doing western aircraft, and ED doing Russian. But for the same "sim". In a perfect world..........
  8. Find some hall-effect sensors. Or even better, some digital encoders..... If only I had money to build a pit.
  9. I love how the plane shakes when it starts to enter a stall. You get that with the Su25T @ highspeed, but never seen it during stall.
  10. That would be interesting, have a different server for each different sim client. But allow the seperate servers to "network" their world. Almost gets me interested in programming.
  11. This would be a wonderful development for the sim world. Each condition air/ground/sea would just need a different client environment. Would be nice to have a pretty well player occupied war. Infantry/armor/air. I would probably end up getting divorced.........

  13. From my knowledge, Hyperthreading would cause the same issues as a dual core. Its almost the same thing. The hyperthreading CPUs are a work-a-round to Intel being stuck with only selling the Itanium as 64bit.

  15. Also, I believe that in the F15, if you have a threat locked, you get a star below the target box.
  16. It runs fine for dual cores. But its not written for SMP. Therefor you need to add a string to use only 1 CPU. It is THE solution, since I dont see them rewriting the entire game. That time is best spent on a predecessor.

  19. EA6B can do amazing things with their jammers. From what I have heard from a co-worker who worked on them, they can make it appear on radar that there are planes, where there are no planes. And they produce enough power to take down a small power grid.
  20. Like has been said many times, at 50% ARH missles can be spoofed with ease, at many miles out. Not very realistic to me.
  21. The problem i see with making missions, is you know whats gonna happen. I would like to be able to select a package, read the brief, look at photos of the target (if any), and then go for it. Nothing like getting half way to the target to find out they have moved forces in your way. Or that there was an aircraft asset you didnt know about that scrambled on you. Oh well.
  22. The devs have said a lot of things Recon, and you know that. Just because they INTENDED to make something so, doesnt make it so. And that is why there have been many threads on the subject. For instance the ARH missles have a huge FOV. They are spoofed from many miles away by chaff. There lead-pursuit is so great that you can dive for the ground for a few sec's and the missle will continue to go down. But they didnt INTEND for these things to happen.

  24. That sound.cfg file didnt help any. Though i did notice a difference in the sounds. I put AF all the way down....... no good. I still think its because the game renders a impact cloud for every round. There's just too much smoke down there. Its just amazing that theres only 1 instance in the game that I go from 50-60 fps, to 1-5 fps. Just 1.
