  1. For anyone following along, I was able to use the new VD beta and that seems to have helped a lot. I am not sure if it is the software or if uninstalling VD and reinstalling (with the new beta) has helped. Right now I am checking it out and almost completely stutter free. Time to start fine tuning but I am over the initial hump of even get it to work to a minor degree.
  2. I attempted this morning to run a separate 5ghz router dedicated only to the Q3. However, I am still getting latench of 70ish ms. With everything on the lowest possible settings in DCS and still getting skips and stutters, I am starting to think that wireless is not an option with the current state of hardware. I ordered a link cable to see if that fixes the latency and skipping issue. If it doesn't solve the problem, then there is a setting somewhere else that must be impacting performance.
  3. This is what I had run into last night. I know DCS supports OpenXR natively but I had been using the toolkit to make further adjustments with my G2. I am unable to get the toolkit to work when running via virtual desktop.
  4. I have been using a G2 for several years and have been looking for an opportunity to upgrade to something with wider FOV and edge to edge clarity. I can't afford Pimax crystal, but truly wanted DFR and OLED. None the less, I have purchased a Q3 to test it out and see if I like it. I consider myself technology capable of quite a bit and had my G2 tuned really well. However, I am struggling with my Q3. 2 days of ownership and I am ready to go back to my G2... System details: 7800X3D 4090 64gb DDR 5, 6000 DCS dedicated M.2 drive Windows 11 Fully updated with all drivers and system files Here are a few questions I would prefer wireless if possible, but I can't get it to run smooth even with everything in DCS tuned as low as possible. Even with ASW on, I still get bad stutters (about every 3 seconds) and unplayable. For wireless should I be utilizing AirLink or Virtual Desktop? I am running on a 5ghz router but could this be causing issues? Should I look at a Wifi6e router? I had OpenXR toolkit working for the G2 but I can't for the life of me get it to work with the Q3. Any ideas as to how I get it working? Is there a best practices guide of some kind to get the Q3 running properly either wired or wireless? I have searched high and low and I can't find anything that seems to cover the steps well enough for me. Should I be turning on ASW/motion reprojection through the Oculus App, Oculus Debug tool, or OpenXR (once I get it to work)? Should I be messing with the Oculus Debug Tool at all? Additional points of reference Utilizing DLAA PD 1.0 Most settings meduim to high Utilizng Godlike in Oculus and aiming for 72hz I am sure I have missed something else TYIA for your help. I really want this to work to experience it and make an educated decision on keeping this vs. the G2
  5. My new system (ASUS X670e-e and 7800x3d) has been the most stable system I have ever built. I have built at least 10 systems. I quickly adjusted voltages manually but otherwise I have been happily running EXPO and -30 PBO without issues. I'm watching curiously as this all unfolds, still running on 1303 BIOS.
  6. Just ordered my parts to upgrade to the 7800x3d. Coming from ASUS X570 Hero and 5900x with 32gb ram and 3090 Moving to 7800x3d Asus X670E-E, 64gb ram and 4090 Here's to hoping!
  7. Unfortunately I don't have the actual dimensions. There is a lot of information out there but none of it seemed to match up. I would imagine a few folks that actually have them in hands would be willing to take a true measurement. I ended up going with the MFG Crosswinds with the WAP and modifying my rig to get them in. They now clear by about 2mm on either side. Just barely. Sorry I cant help you
  8. In like new condition. Great pedals but they do not fit in my rig. Asking $400 plus shipping. Includes original packaging, cable, manual, and all parts. Amazing pedals that I wish I could make work, but they are too wide for my setup.
  9. I am looking to replace my garbage TFPR rudder pedals, BUT I am limited by my cockpit rig width. Originally I wanted to go with the TPR pedals, but they are too wide. Then I saw the Crosswinds V3 with the WAP (width adjustment plate), but that only gets me down to 465mm ish. My rig only allows for something up to about 430mm. The only setup that I am seeing that seems like it will work, and be an upgrade, is the TurtleBeach Velocity One pedals that have adjustable width. These pedals do not excite me as they are all plastic and seem cheap, but are likely to be an upgrade from the TFPR set I currently use. They at least use a Hall sensor. Does anyone have any other recommendations that are solid build that will fit under 430mm in width? For reference I am using the Next Level Racing F-GT rig and have heavily modified it to accomodate all of my other systems.
  10. For anyone interested, I solved my own problem. I set a keyboard bind (LAlt+LShift+up) for increase and (LAlt+LShift+Down). I then set three bingo parameters "Set Bingo to 5000" holds Increase for 6.3 seconds "Set bingo to 0" holds decrease for 6.3 seconds "Set bingo to 3000" holds increase for 4.3 seconds The only problem is that if I am in 5000 bingo, in order to set 3000 I have to first go to 0 then back up. This is a solid enough work around for me at the moment.
  11. I am slowly working on getting rid of any need for a mouse in my VR cockpit. One of the few remaining items that I am trying to figure out is how to set my joker and bingo fuel states using voice attack. Does anyone know of a way to program Voice Attack so that I can say something like "Set Bingo to 5000" and it will set my joker or bingo state on the IEFI in the F18?
  12. Still looking if anyone has anything.
  13. SOLD
  14. Includes original box and cables. Great condition and an amazing card. Willing to split shipping. I am in Michigan. I also have a video of the unit in working condition but it is no longer in my system as the 4090 has taken its spot. With MT finally here, your CPU is no longer the bottleneck. Time to upgrade that GPU! I also have a Corsair HX850i that I am looking to sell if you need something to power this beast. $750 + 1/2 shipping.
  15. My spreadsheet above should answer some of your questions for my experience. Windows 11 and yes, improvement.
  16. I'm in love with the new MT and couldn't agree more that VR is sensational Windows 11 (all updates) 5900x (no OC) 4090 (8% OC) - latest drivers 32gb (4x8gb@3600) Reverb G2 OpenXR via composite null
  17. Quite pleased with the update. Lots more tinkering to do but overall first pass with the new patch is impressive. FPS improvements between 13% and 70% depending, averaging 43% improvement. FPS average of 49 improved to 70 in my standard settings that I have been using and up to 57 on maxed settings. I am officially GPU bound with a 4090. VR (Reverb G2) 5900x (No OC) 4090 (No OC) 32gb (4x8@3600) Windows 11 (all drivers and updates) 4 tests Supercarrier cold start Super carrier Launch Syria Cold start Syria free flight nullWhen I say all settings maxed in my test, I mean (almost) everything. All shadows (and all types) maxed, 4xMSAA, 16xAF, not using any of the other filters. Cockpit global illumination on. All running through OpenXR. PD 1.0 in both WMR and DCS. Crystal clear, studder free, rock solid. WIth motion reprojection I hold 45 FPS even with everything maxed. All of this in single player of course.
  18. Excellent! Thanks for posting your results. I am really excited to hear about further improvements and stabalization that you will likely do with your system, but it sounds like out of the box it is a massive improvement.
  19. I have the HF8 and integrated with SSA. I also use this in conjunction with a Buttkicker Pro. I love the combination of the 2. The HF8 works great with SSA and provides some more subtle and detailed vibration where the Buttkicker provides the bigger hits and shakes. They match together well. I have had no issues with it at all and while NLR has indicated they will implement DCS with their software, I have no intention of switching away from SSA.
  20. Mine always transitions from the cliff hosue through the triangles twice. Generally the firs time I only get audio in the right speaker and quieter then the second time louder audio in both headphones. I have never had it to it more than twice. When mine hangs on the black screen I can hear DCS but I can't see it. I see only black, not even the cliff house. Have you tried running a repair of DCS? Have you tried resetting your environment calibration in WMR? Have you tried launching DCS just not in VR to confirm if DCS is intact?
  21. My system occassionally does this as well (G2, Win 11, 5900x, 4090). The only thing that I have been able to do is to exit DCS, exit WMR, power cycle the headset, and restart my load up process. This seems to happen to me when the computer has been running for mutliple days (no reboot), and I haven't touched DCS in that time. Over the last few months it seems to have improved and I don't see it as much, but when I do, I follow the above. Hopefully that is helpful.
  22. I am very much looking forward to these results. I am lucky in that the system I currently run is very clsoe to your baseline system (5900x, 3090, 32gb ram, G2 using OpenXR). I recently picked up the 4090 but haven't been blown away by the outcomes. Looking next to the 7...X3d upgrades and if they will be worth it. My hope is that either the x3d systems make a huge difference or the multithreading comes out before the results of the 7800x3d come out and they show drastic improvement (save me the money). Eventual system I am thinking is 7800x3d, 64gb ram DDR5 6000, 4090, OpenXR. Thanks for your work on this.
  23. I am interested in a Tek Creations right console F18 panel. I am located in Michigan, United States.
  24. Everything is done and she is working beautifully. Thank you so much for your help. I had to sacrifice 4 buttons since I didnt realize there was a 64 input board and I only purchased the 32. None the less, I am happy with everything. I had one last question. The Leo Bodnar software has a few settings that I am messing around with. In particular, after I setup the rotary encoders, what does the ratio change and what does the pulse width change? The F18 AMPCD brightness settings seems to take a lot of turns to get an adjustment and I am wondering if any of these settings might speed that up.
