Got it yesterday and it took around an hour to set it all up. For some reason the desktop was permanently in my right 4 o'clock high position but it eventually fixed itself. The clarity is something else when you look around the cockpit! Plus I don't have to sit in a freezing room with a fan blasting my face any more! Result.

I'm in the UK too and after about 30 minutes the front top left gets hot and then the screens go blank one aftar the other. It stays like this for 10 seconds or so before coming back, before repeating all over again every 10 seconds. HP won't even answer my emails or letters regarding it! A brief search of the forums show that plenty of other people have had the same problem and also experienced a similar lack of customer service from HP - they really are appalling. I have to have the windows open and a fan blasting at my face to prevent it from happening! If mine wasn't faulty I'd be happy with it, but it is, so I'm not. Just the faff of setting up something new now. The base stations arrived today so I'll crack on with it at the weekend. Dr Spankle

Mine arrives tomorrow - the HTC base stations arrive today. No more DCS with the windows open and a fan blasting in my face to prevent my piece of <profanity> G2 from overheating ...

Hi there, When I grab the coords from the F10 map for entry into the avionics the Eastings in the Lat/Long Decimal Minutes is missing a figure. As you can see in the top left the Eastings are E40°02.XXX but the window shows E40°2.XXX. Minor point but it might confuse people if they don't notice this. Cheers, Dr Spankle

Can I set it up to use the supplied mic but not the earbuds? Dr Spankle

Great work mate. As an aside, the format for abbreviating callsigns for L16 is to use the first and last letters followed by the numbers. So Hammer 21 becomes HR21. A lot of effort is put into ensuring the callsigns used within an Op conform to this to avoid duplication and confusion. So within the same ATO Hammer and Homer wouldn't both appear. Also, whilst AWACS from GK will use NATO as a callsign (if on a NATO task), this is the flight deck callsign for ATC purposes. The back end will likely be Magic xx for a NATO job. Callsigns like Ascot are used for particular UK taskings, and others like Nickel/Goose belong to individual squadrons. Cheers, Dr Spankle

Any issue with the setup or any advicxe on setting it up? I've seen a lot of older posts on here about getting started but it looks like a lot of issues have been ironed out. Was it mostly plug and play? And what lighthouses do you use? Cheers, Dr Spankle

Order placed - thanks for all the help guys. I appreciate it as the PC tech stuff isn't my strong suit. That said, I fly contract CAS these days providing training and currency for JTACs on the ground, so if I can help anyone out with that area of DCS just hit me up. Dr Spankle

Awesome - do you know which base stations it is on Amazon by any chance? Dr Spankle

OK - so it has taken a while to get the money together but I still have some questions (and my kidneys): Base stations (Lighthouses). Varjo don't seem to sell any on their website (or possibly I'm being a biff). Which ones and how many do I need? Hand controllers. Do I need any? I never use the ones I have for the Reverb - do I need some for the setup? I'd rather not buy some just to accomplish that. Accesories. When I go through the process of placing the headset in my cart it asks if I want a power supply (at extra cost). I presume it comes with one ... Or do I need to buy everything individually including this, face cushions, 5m power cable etc ...? Black friday tomorrow with 10% off, so your timely replies oh great forum elders would be greatly appreciated. Dr Spankle

I now no longer see any of the 4YA servers in the multiplayter list - does anyone have an idea as to why this has happened? Cheers, Dr Spankle

It would be great if we could see our attitude information whilst looking at the F10 map, either as a basic, semi-transparent artificial horizon overlay, or as an inset in the corner. Cheers, Dr Spankle

That's what I do, but as this is the Wishlist section and it's nearly Christmas ...

Can we change the order that this is carried out to rearming before refuelling? That way Mavericks can be timing out whilst the fuelling takes place. Cheers, Dr Spankle

Once I go to Esc, Adjust Controls, they work again and continue to do so throughout the game. It's only ever when I first appear in the jet. Dr Spankle

I have no idea how to do this unfortunately, and the situation doesn't arise every time I'm on, so that will be tricky. I'll do my best ... Dr Spankle -
I had to lower the pre-load radius to cure it. Hope that helps. Dr Spankle

Try lowering your pre-load radius. That worked for me. Hope it helps, Dr Spankle
