It’s been a couple months before I found time to fly around in my uh-1 and wow! I’m getting 72fps in VR at marianas. Visuals are sharper might have to turn those down, gauges are easy to read. what a difference MT and DLSS has made. I’m going to start those campaigns again now that it’s playable. Congrats on your hard work. Rtx4070ti, oculus quest 2, i7-1700

I 2nd that. you make my fell old. My first aviation related was p-51 on a coco which was as basically a line for the horizon and a few pixels for the runway/planes. Then it was the first Microsoft flight sim. Lol more lines and circles but the sky was a different color than the ground

when I was using my RTX3060ti I noticed that setting the pc resolution to the lowest settings imrpoved my VR FPS, also I was running at 1.2 pixel density, is there a reason you are using .6?

Update: I bought a openbox 4070ti with a $250 savings, I am so glad I did. I now can run DCS on max everything, also increased the bitrate and now the cockpit is crystal clear in VR on the quest 2 and its at 36FPS solid, I think thats because I have the refresh set at 72, I may try to go to 80 or 90 but see no reason to for now. no more ground studders in my UH-1 even on marianas, solid 36fps. For me, 10700k, 32gb, SSD this was the thing that I needed. Oh, and I never hear the fans spin, this card runs cool. my 3060Ti would go full blast after a few minutes. Hope this helps anyone else who may be on the fence.

Yes for me as well, was a significant improvement. I was getting 18-22ish frame in marianas on missions now its a steady 36

You are correct, using joy.cpl every other button shows activity but the slider/button does not. I think I am just going to take my win and ignore that it is the only thing not working.

I have an X52 and have been thinking about upgrading to the X56, while on a popular auction site someone posted 4 that was returns and tested as not working. They was priced at $69 so I bought one. stick didnt work so I used some contact cleaner and bam everything works! Only issue that I can find now is the slider on the throttle does not work. Anyone have that issue and if so how did you fix?

WWII birds a waste of time . FIX your spotting mechanics DCS . !!!!!!!!

not to change the subject but how is the 4070 in vr? I have a 3060ti and am thinking of upgrading. -
That was it, I was able to start both when I left the APU running
-
All of a sudden, I can't get both engines to start. The left will start and complete cycle, then cycle for right will do nothing. If I restart and start the right it starts, but then the left won't. Have I forgot something? I just get the apu running and uncage the throttle, and when it finishes the cycle, I turn off apu and apu gen then uncage the other correct?

disregard, I found the info on the last pages of the kneeboard popup.

I watched a few videos on the 1st and 2nd mission and I noticed they open up a window with all of the mission info/frequencies etc. How do you get this window?

I agree 100%, I hope he makes a new UH-1 campaigne, this one was the top of the top in quality and story immersion
-
yes its fully populated, I was loading the super carrier cold and dark
-
what card and headset are you running? Im at steady 36FPS on the carrier with almost everything maxed, but Im on a rtx3060 and quest 2
-
Same for me, 12-15 FPS increase in VR
-
I was getting about 20 FPS in UH1 at marianas in VR, I was just about to buy a new GPU but this morning I saw the update and tried the new multi threading. and WOW I am now at a steady 32-35 FPS, same map, same settings. Flying around in the UH1 is buttery smooth now. I have everything on high except civ traffic, 16x antitropic, 4x msaa, clouds ultra, pixel density at 1.0 My specs: I7-10700, RTX3060, 32GB ram, 1TB m2, 1 TB SSD, Oculus Quest 2

I currently have been using a 3060ti since it came out, and VR is pretty good at around 20fps, but now that the card has gotten older, I want to replace it. Used 3090s are roughly the same price of new 4070ti's, I know that DCS is working on DLSS so I am leaning toward the 4070ti. Whats anyones opinion? Anyone use a 4070 in VR currently?

The links there give a 404 for both 32 and 64 FYI
-
I am happy to report I suffered no frame rate loss in VR after updating to the latest version, whew! 10700k, RTX 3060ti, 32GB, SDD
-
if it doesnt do well for me, can I go back to the previous version?
-
I am still on pre 2.8 because of all of the VR performance issues I read about. I have a RTX3060ti with quest 2 and get good performance with most settings on high. But from what I have read 2.8 on average looses 12-15 FPS. I think that would be unplayable. The reason I ask is I bought the blackshark 3 upgrade but ir requires 2.8.1. Thanks for any responses.

Are there training missions that I am just overlooking or will they be on the release?
