  1. This is my settings on the desktop, also make sure you have the latest version in the headset and the client on the PC. I had not used it since I bought it a year or so ago until recently, now its the only way I do VR. So much faster for me. Also note that DCS was crashing for me when I tried to use the AV1 codec, I had good luck with the HEVC 10-bitnull Restarting my headset fixed my problem.
  2. Updating the UH-1 will be a major event, it is my go-to in DCS thank you so much!
  3. Virtual Desktop Streamer It's wireless, but at the moment I still have a charging cable hooked to it. I know kinda defeats the wireless part. Yeah I monkeyed with mine for a month, I just don't understand why a wifi connection is so much clearer and faster than a wired cable.
  4. I have solely used the link cable for VR with my quest 3. I adjusted the bit rate to 400, changed the render area to 75% upped the ingame pixel density to 1.4 lots of things are still a little on the blurry side in cockpit, I mostly fly the UH-1 and get typically 20-30 fps in marianas. The UH64 has never been playable at about 10-15 fps, same situation with the new C47. By chance, I decided to try VDS. OMG! Cockpit is crystal clear, 72 fps with 140FPS theortecal (whatever that is) in the UH-1 at marianas! I tried F-18 carrier launch and capture, 65-72FPS. Beautiful clear cockpit and rain effects. I then pressed my luck and jumped into the AH64 and the C47. 55-65 FPS, gorgeous cockpit. I lowered my pixel density down a notch and got a 5-8FPS increase in the AH64 and CH47 with no notice of clarity degradation. My results was also astonishing in the MSFS. From blury 20-30FPS to crystal clear 72FPS So, obviously I do not have my link cable optimized, it passes the test and I think its at 2.4gb. Any tips? any similar results? One note with VD is DCS crashes everytime I try to use AV1 codec so I use the 10-bit one with no issues. I7-10700k, RTX4070TI, 64gb ram, 4tb ssd just for DCS and FS. Quest 3 at 72hz, Frame limit set to 72 also.
  5. I tried VD in MSFS yesterday and it was a major improvement in visuals, way more clear and smoother. So I tried it in DCS and right out of the gate, the right eye was smooth and clear no tearing, but the left eye kept "jumping" like I was moving my head very fast slightly up, down, left right. Anyone else experience this and was you able to adjust something to stop it?
  6. disabling my onboard GPU via device manager solved my issue, new version may have some issue picking which card to use.
  7. Happy to announce I found my problem, for some reason the onboard GPU was causing the crashes. Never had a problem prior to this update, but it must have something to do with picking a video card. I disabled the onboard card via the device manager and DCS works as expected. Don't know if it will help anyone else but it resolved my problem. Thanks all that helped!
  8. I copied the shortcut and removed the trailing text same result, I had also tried directly running the exe from the folder
  9. To add more info, it works in ST flat, but not VR and neither mode with MT
  10. It creates two logs for some reason, I attached both My system specs: I710700, 64GB, 4TB C:\ SSD 2TB DCS Drive SSD Oculus 3, RTX4070Ti dcs.log-20240719-195448.zip dcs.log-20240719-195524.zip
  11. Updating to V67 did not solve my issue, still crashes on loading screen.
  12. My quest 3 headset is on v66, I just updated to v67 to see if it helps
  13. I updated to latest version, now it crashes on launch. I did cleanup and I did repair, still crashes. I updated nvidia to latest drivers, still crashes. What am I missing? Yes I removed all MODS
  14. I get a solid 36 FPS in VR (72hz), and DCS says theoretical max is 50-55 While looking around in my oculus client I noticed it said I was using steam openxr, and to click to switch it to oculus openxr so I did. Now my max fps is reporting 120-130, this may explain why I was not affected by the VR glitch but that's some gain in FPS steam openxr must have a lot of overhead. Just thought I would post this as an FYI

  15. well I was one of the lucky ones who had the PC app updated to 63 but still runs. HOWEVER Last night oculus notified me there is a new update for the headset, I declined but in the settings it says it will go ahead and install it without my consent 4-26 Just a FYI
  16. I think just turning it on makes it a bit blurry for others; just a guess, I had already monkeyed with my nvidia settings and the tray tool and had everything pretty dialed in and sharp so for me there was no loss of clarity that I noticed, and my fps took a nice jump.
  17. How do you take a screenshot in VR?
  18. I do and have for 35 years now. While I rarely do HOTFIXs; occasionally an issue arises where I must and it's not a big deal. I make a new branch from master, add the fix, do a pull request to master and then apply the change to the current development branch.
  19. No, I use steam for a few games but DCS is not one Is there anything I can do to help understand why it works for me? This is the version I am running:
  20. I wonder what is different about my system as the new update is working with no issue using link cable. I7-10700 RTX4070ti (latest driver) 64gb 4tb m.2 Quest 2 and Quest 3
  21. I have a different headset but for me, I put on the headset and enable link cable which displays a menu of things I have ran before. I start DCS from there or I lift up my headset and mouse click the icon.
  22. There was a headset update. There was also a new release of nvidia drivers, installed rebooted and everything is as it should be.
  23. A box comes up that says: Wrong video card Please plug your headset into the same graphics card as your primary monitor. Never seen this before, nothing has changed on my pc that I know of. I played it last night in vr with no issues. Anyone else getting this? Quest 3 RTX4070ti 64gb ram 5TB m.2 i7-10700 Using link cable as always
  24. Says all I need to know about you. Have a good day "Karen"
  25. My settings: Quest 3, resolution default in app tray tool: left and right eye set to .70 link setting 400 bit rate and 3646 DCS: 1.3 pixel density this gives me very clear gauges in the Huey which I fly 90% of the time my system specs: i7-10700, 64gb ram, 2tb ssd, 1tb M.2, RTX4070ti
