One end of the holdback bar fits into a slot in the Carrier deck the other end fits into a "U" shaped bracket on the aircraft's nose gear. The holdback bar has a built in weak point which is designed to fail when subjected to a given stress. The holdback bar is capable of retaining the aircraft in position in full afterburner only, or on an unrequested Cat operation with engines at idle , but will break when both AB power and a Cat launch happen together. Different types of holdback bar with varying breaking tolerances are carried on Carriers for different types of Aircraft.

Works here. Set to arbitrary number e.g. 10x and I get the tone and the HSI indication.

There's plenty of other things to learn so we will have to be patient. First impressions, well amazing. I managed a carrier trap on my first attempt much to my continued amazement. Same here. There is a very thin black line where the cam picture "frame" should be but no feed from the cam.

Sorry for the delay in replying Devrim. Yes I am using Reshade 3.1.1 which is located in the bin folder also.

I've just discovered that my screenshots are being saved in the User/saved games etc folder as png, and they are also being duplicated in the bin folder as bmp files.

Yes I am experiencing this also. As others have stated it's more apparent at low sun angles.

Hi Greg, all ok now. I have a TM Warthog stick and throttle. I moved the collective from one throttle axis to the other which seems to have cured it. Mission 1 complete. Really enjoying the Campaign. Many thanks mate. Thanks also to Petritis for the tip.

Hi Greg, I landed ok with collective fully off and waited for minutes rather than seconds still no message. Tried landing in various other positions in case its a trigger zone and I'm not quite inside it. Aircraft not damaged. Positioned between crowds and a few yards off the nose of the Apaches. Only thing outside flight plan parameters was a little too much altitude while over sea.

Mission 1 problem Mission 1. After landing at Batumi nothing happens. I have watched a youtube vid of the mission and some text referring to the VIP's is displayed. I am not seeing this. Is there a specific place to land, I put down in front of the Apaches? Using version 1.5.7.7741

Brilliant Uboats, I also used the old version which no longer works. Can you please possibly enlarge the fonts for us oldies with 4K screens and definitely not 20/20 vision ? Much obliged.

Someone else on here has suggested making a few trim tail down adjustments before lifting off. I tried it and it seems to help.

Experiencing same problems as mentioned above. Lifting off to a hover seems impossible. With cyclic centred the aircraft slides forward as the collective is applied. To correct this I apply some back cyclic and right pedal and when the collective is raised the aircraft sticks to the tarmac until the nose abruptly lifts and the tailboom hits the deck. I also have my suspicions about the AP. I accept this may be poor flying skills and also its early days for the module. On the whole I think this will be a great module in the near future. Well done the people at Polychop.

Tyger I think you have encapsulated the thoughts of the vast majority of people on here. Too many individuals want something for nothing.

Many many thanks to ED you guys must be exhausted but you said end of November and you did it, superb work. We have all been patient and the long wait has been worth it. Considering this is the alpha I'm sure the best is yet to come.
