Hi! Since I dont need anymore my 4870 (see 6950 thread:music_whistling:) I'm selling it. I'm only shipping to NA though. 60$ +shipping ATI4870 non reference heatsink

Pc is in my sig. Went from a e6600 overclocked at 3.6ghz, than a E8600 at 4.4ghz and finally I have my Q9550 overclocked at 3.9ghz(still trying to hit higher than 4ghz with it) all on air. Always got INTEL CPU since my P2 200mhz. I know that AMD have good CPU too, but I'm kind of a fanboy for that. Running all game very well, and running DCS A-10 with an average of 25fps, at 1920x1080 and everything high(except ''civ traffic'' and ''shadow'') + 4x AA. Personnaly I dont think the brand of the CPU matters, compare to the GPU one on certain game. Good luck!

I flashed my 6950 with the Saphire 6970 BIOS, and after playing 1h Crysis, 1h BFBC2, after the AvP benchmark and after the Unigine benchmark I got those Temps: I'm very satisfied with that card, so awsome!!!:D:joystick::thumbup:

I received my card this afternoon! It merely fits my case lolll! I test it a bit stock, and then flashed it to a 6970 and in general I got 5-10 more fps, but those numbers are not official. Concerning Dcs A-10, I put everything to max ( except shadow and civ traffic) and got at least 10fps more on the engine startuP training. But in general FPS are a bit better. The thing that I was the most impress, I thing it's the 2gb of VRAM! Pressing f2 to look at an other plane or f7 for ground vehicule is instantanous! No more stuter loading something else. So far I'm really satisfied, and I'll try to post some pics and benchmark

yeah I read that. what were your temps before and now ? Did you see some improvement with you ancient GPU for DCS? The card got deleivered in my town this morning, but because of the week end + new year, will only get it tuesdasy:mad:

Hawx2 and Lost Planet2 benchmarks seems to be porked :music_whistling: :D Should receive my 6950 the 4th, an I'll be able to make those benchmark too and I'll report back. But I think you can't be wrong with both card anyway. I went for the 6950 because my MB can only do Xfire, and the card was in sale, otherwise I might have bought the gtx570:smartass:

But peronnally I never had any problem with ATI, even with crossfire, so I already bought a new ATI card, wich was in special, costing about 60$ less than a Nvidia 570. But thnx a lot for your answer :thumbup::joystick:

Finally made it! Bough an ATI6950 2gb today. Should receive it next week. Will post difference compare to my ATI4870 512mb. Happy new year!:thumbup::joystick:

what was you ex GPU? how much FPS did you gain ? I'm a bit off topic but I'm wondering if switching my 4870 512mb for a 6950 2gb will do a difference at 1920x1080 all HIGH with at least 4aa :helpsmilie:

dont know but they saved me last time. was doing the second campagn (dont remeber the name:music_whistling:) and a mig shot a missile at me, I evaded, he overpassed me, I shooted my AIM-9 and got the kill :megalol: PS: semi CMS is so much AWSOME!!!!!!! :thumbup::pilotfly::joystick:

for now, comms are crashing my game, so I'm more of a ''one man army'' until I can speak with my wingman, so I bring a lot of payload for a lot of target :thumbup:. When it'll be corrected, I'll take more ''normal'' loads ;)

obvisously wont take full load if there is some SAMs or air threats :lol: barely able to maintain a 45degree turn at 12000' and I'm not even talking about evasive manouvers:joystick:
