  1. Nice! Two things to say.. First: Thanks! for the quick 101 on OSET page and BUllseye coordinates to WP feature.. Second: Trim the g'dam plane up! :)
  2. Morse code? ILS now beeps the code all the time. The Volume control is busted. :)
  3. I think he meant that can he set an SPI without the TGP being in Area/Point Track mode, or in INR mode: Yes, You can - Even if the pod is Masked, it is pointing at a coordinate in 3D space.
  4. The A-10C targeting systems always designate markpoint Z as the weapon impact point (for the last launched weapon). You could "quickly" load the Mark Z as the Steerpoint and Slew all to steerpoint and lase away. Quickly, here, being relative.. Of course, if you first set the CDU steerpoint selection switch to MARK mode...
  5. Yeah, once I got the grasp about HOTAS "combos" - it all clicked together. The flow of doing "set and use SOI to find target, set SPI, slew weapons to SPI & lock, launch" etc.. Learn your HOTAS: - TMS - DMS - China hat functions, learn how they combine and work together. Repeat repeat repeat - then when you almost got it, Join up with people on TS, in online. Ask if there's something you almost know, but don't understand WHY it does what it does.
  6. the 38T is above the ... well there :) called the "zone" in MGRS. And YES it is indeed handled by our A-10C. You just dont input it in the same line as the MGRS coordinate-string.
  7. Lod mult yes, but look above, the ranges are lower.
  8. Did it also say RWY headings? or only if the ILS was available for the Runway?
  9. In game: CDU: open NAV page by pressing the NAV button in CDU/UFC Then select DIVERT page, and select the Airfield, there will read the Radio frequency of the Tower (TWR). Then when you call them, they'll give you headings to intercept the glideslope for "runway XY" -> XY will be the heading of the runway, just add a 0 in the end. (Also, be ready to steer, since the RUNWAY XY will be approximate, it can be about +/- 5 degrees to either side.)
  10. NP! Great, neat tool, I like to review my tracks in the Tacview at work during coffee "hours" :) Work colleagues sometimes take weird looks at me but hey... I'm a pilot! :pilotfly: One more question, I've asked it elsewhere, maybe you can comment it there: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1141864&postcount=9 Why, in the TACVIEW, when replaying the track, the velocity vector is "off" to the left a few degrees ?
  11. My comment was regarding the link in http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-en.php There is a link to A-10C "pages" and that produces HTTP ERROR 404. In the section, both the A-10C and Blackshark links are "old". Thanks for the great software, I may decide to shell out the 20-something euros later!
  12. http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-a10c-en.php FYI: This gives HTTP 404 error - IIRC there were the .lua files, in case the automatic installer failed.
  13. O'RLY? =) Like I said: If you forget how to enable NVGs, you can get light in your cockpit without seeing anything by calling in ground power and hitting L. Not suer if it enables Flood lights, but still, you can see all them pesky switches hiding in the cover of darkness.
  14. I believe you can set the speed that is displayed on HUD somewhere, was it under IFCC TEST mode, and some setting there.. IIRC it can be selected between IAS, TAS and Ground speed. EDIT: You can also set it in CDU POSITION page, but i'm not sure does it affect the HUD
  15. For those of you that the HUD is displaying 0 airspeed: - Try cycling Hud to IFCC TEST mode and back to ON. The Second Number OP was talking about is the Required speed. 50 is just the minimum speed it displays, while you are e.g sitting on the Ramp. R0 means the system cannot calculate required speed, or something...
  16. One possible reason might be, that If you have lot of Markpoints marked, and you want to bomb e.g A, F, I and M only - then it would be more efficient during the bombing run, only to have those 4 points as waypoints, rather than click thru all of the points in the "smallish" bomb release window, with possible enemy activity to monitor as well. *shrug* :)
  17. After tagging the markpoints, look at your CDU 1. Press FPM 2. Start a new FPM: Type a name for the FPM: (eg. Targets) and press Left LSK4 (where there reads "[]0x (NEW FP)" - x is the number of the new FPlan..) 3. Press Right LSK for the new flight plan to open the new flight plan. 4. Start adding the waypoints: Press the letter for the first markpoint you want to use as the first waypoint (e.g A) then press Left LSK2 where it says []01 (NEXT) 5. Repeat for all way/markpoints, you can fit 3 waypoints per page, after 3 if you waqnt to add more, you need to switch to next page with the CDU P/G up/down rocker. When you're done, activate the Flightplan from FPM screen by pressing the left LSK for the flightplan "Targets" you just created. Also, you might want to switch to manual waypoint selection, by pressing the same LSK again. ---- EDIT: But as to why you would need to do this is ... well, not needed if you just want to drop JDAMs at the markpoints: Just swap the nav-system to "MARK" mode (STEER PT selection "mode" or whatever), and just "browse" the markpoints directly.
  18. yeah, this would be GRREAT! Also, ADF and ... what else is there, old school radio-nav systems!
  19. If you forgot how to turn on the Gogglez: Try: Radio: Ground crew, ground power on - then hit "L" key on your keyboard.
  20. RE: above: If the definition is: The best firefight audios in a movie: HEAT Then : Yes.
  21. Next time, get closer to .. was it IP ADDER - the JTAC is on the ground there I believe, I've gotten the red triangle a few times in a row in that way.
  22. Same problem in Finnish or Scandinavian/Nordic charset.
  23. WarriorX's checklist is nice: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1024526&postcount=1 NOTE: The EAC cannot be activated at the point it is suggested.. the system needs more time to align... I just skip it at that point.
  24. Wait a few minutes and try again to "Check in". JTAC assigned me a task after a few tries.
  25. Any chance to get an update for this mission in Final version? few issues I notice... - the AH-64s collide/crash on takeoff on the taxi way. I squeezed between the F-15Es and the AH-64Ds in the taxi.. I got everyone airborne.. But.. The JTAC never came "active" on the radios.. I tuned "52.00" on VHF FM radio - but the line stayed blacked out. UZI-1 said at some point that "On station" but I couldn't contact him Should I wait more? Another note, the radio menu says (for cold and uzi) their channel as "Pilot #9 (Colt11) 50 MHz AM..." "Pilot #6 (Uzi11) 52 MHz AM..." Even if i'm under VHM FM radio menu. What is going on here? =)
