    prf radar modes

That's how FC radar are modelized. Makes sense indeed. I'm advocating for this to be implemented here too. Would limit the lock losses when target is at/above own altitude. And seems realistic. FC uses a kind of radar horizon, i.e. not sure it takes moutains into account. Would be nicer if they would be taken into account.
  2. You know nothing, John Snow... :D Joking aside, as jojo said, brakes should hold N=100 (specific high pressure). So I don't know where your 80% data comes from? AFAIK, 100% should be better (*). OTOH, I agree that you have to go full A/B after releasing the brakes. (*) currently (in DCS) this doesn't work (skiding when > 80ish %). Some more work for CptSmiley I guess :)

    prf radar modes

ENT (~MPRF) is a mix of HPRF and LPRF.
  4. We shouldn't be able to use any other PRF than HPRF while guiding a S-530D.
  5. OK you're confused. Starting coordinates must be checked and corrected by the pilot. Aligning won't auto-correct this. It's not what alignment does. What's the issue with degrees and minutes? Simply copy them in your INS... RMK: you don't have to make conversions if you don't want to. Select the "Lat/Long decimal" format in DCS options. Then you'll get (D)DD°MM.mmmm format and you'll just have to round it to the Mirage's format (D)DD°MM.mm. ++ Az' PS: next time, please create your topic in the M-2000 forum. ;)
  6. Yes, little bug with the PAR selection + rockets. Been there for a few versions already. The tab is taken into account, it's just that because you maintain pressure on the trigger, as soon as a rifle is finished another one is triggererd (<= this, precisely, is the bug) Try with just one quick "click" on your trigger, you'll see that the tab count is respected.
  7. Yes.
  8. There is no dedicated trim reset control. But two other features actually do a trim reset (so no need for a dedicated button). 1/ the practical one = the AP standby trigger (which IRL is pressed each time the pilot holds the stick). 2/ the not-so-practical one = the FBW reset pushbutton.
  9. Depends on the need. 7 min QRA: not needed (ALCM will do) 2 min QRA (with pilot onboard): pre-aligned + "réseau d'alerte" used
  10. Salut, Il faudrait regarder si le dcs.log (dans Saved Games\DCS\Logs) donne une indication ou une piste ? ++ Az'
  11. Well, I'm actually :) Parachute landing is non-standard in FAF. Simply because it's painful to manage it after if not needed. Of course, safety first. If in doubt, if problem, if overweight, if... (insert number of degraded conditions) then pull it out.
  12. +1 Absolutely no difference for the radar itself. Just a different indication for the pilot. S = I scan "alone", it's nice to know what part of the sky I'm scanning. Z = I'm trying to find a target that a GCI BRAA'ed me, so I know its distance and altitude, let's set my radar correctly with those parameters to maximize my chances of finding it quick.

    what is V/BR

    Agreed.
  14. ^ this :)
  15. The move is slow at first (one or 2 seconds) then accelerates. That allows to be precise (little moves) and quick (big changes). So just maintain the trim hat left or right if needed :)

    what is V/BR

No such thing as a "power knob" here, sedenion. Powering the device = the BR switch (De)Activating the jamming = the knob. OldE24: I didn't test the keyboard input, I mostly use my mouse. But I would feel more logical to have different inputs keys for different switches. Typically, I will probably need to map the knob on my HOTAS, but leave the power switch aside, to be managed with mouse at fence in / fence out. ++

    INS

Where: look around, c'est comme le port salut. Oui je sais je suis taquin. :D What: well, given that we discussed the feature above and that you're a native speaker: ENChaînement.

    INS

    1. is because ENC button seems not available yet (and yes, REC is linked to DEST) 2. good catch :)
  19. 1. See Cantiga's answer, you forgot a mandatory step. 2. No you should not. CP/PD is not to display heading/range. See Razbam's manual ;)
  20. Azrayen

    what is V/BR

Seems perfectly logic to me. 1/ you power the device (electronics get ready & stuff) 2/ you use the jamming feature of the device Look the radar, same thing...
  21. You're lazy :D

    RWR test

Because it's not a real RWR, it's a simulator. By definition, DCS World knows everything about itself: he knows that a Su-27 is there, in range, and with its radar on. So the Mirage should have a RWR signal. Now, the RWR should be coded so that Su-27, Su-33 or MiG-29 all use the "29" symbol. On of the difficulties is to code "in reverse" of what exists IRL.

  24. Chrinik is correct. Sedenion, I don't know what's curve interpolation types (and I don't need/want to). Let's be precise indeed, but also simple: - default nav mode is: direct to DEST but. Always. That's the "little house" in the HUD. If you're flying away from the DEST but, the house should be upside down (not yet implemented). - RD nav mode is: pilot defines a heading he wants to follow to arrive to the but (WPT). The system computes needed variables, then provides a guidance solution that the pilot will follow to rejoin the needed course. Hop:
