  1. Zeus was perhaps too quick in his sentence, the INS is powered somehow. You can't control it (PCN/PSM) but the INS itself gets some power (e.g. temp control). Network is short for electric network. It's a specific bus.
  2. Agreed + correct current syntax. The simpler syntax mentionned above (page 1), as the config.lua file in the DCS-Game-Directory are "historic" and do not work anymore AFAIK.
  3. Hi I haven't the time to look for a precise URL & timing now, but there where such examples on youtube. Here mainly from the ground freq at NYC https://www.youtube.com/user/H89SA This to try (not done myself yet) https://www.youtube.com/user/victor981994
  4. :megalol: Thanks Shadow. Now my colleagues look at me with kinda little fear: "what's with him?" :D
  5. Indeed Mirage 5 is a relatively close derivative of the Mirage III. Mirage 2000 OTOH is a brand new aircraft. I love the IV too, but it would be kind of very limited in terms of gameplay, wouldn't you think? And (second reason), its strategic/nuclear nature will probably make all the needed data mining about it that more harder (or even impossible).
  6. Hi, I'm not sure how to read the "Radio Switching" and "In-Cockpit DCS PTT" columns, so I will confirm how it works IRL: The pilot has a "selector" on his throttle. This selector has 3 position, and is spring-loaded so that with no pilot action it's on the center (= neutral) position. When the pilot wants to use a radio, he presses the selector on the side he want (one side = one radio), that selects the radio to use + acts as a PTT, so the pilot maintains his finger on the selector as long as he speaks. Also regarding the M-2000C's TRT ERA 7000 (V/UHF) (=radio 2 in your table), please note that this radio also has the capability to listen on both the current frequency/channel PLUS the guard channed; this is done by placing the rotary on "Pal+G" (means "Main + Guard") instead of "Pal" ("Main") only. ++ Az'
  7. Moderators, please merge the present topic with http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=173150 and add mention of "create fast mission" in the title. jesusneto7, please do not create multiple topics about the same issue, it's only confusing.
  8. Not our choice. It's how they're called IRL. ;)
  9. Good news, Zeus :)
  10. jojo, Frederf is confused because the concept of "total energy" is used. All other things being equal, more altitude = more (potential) energy. So he thinks (I guess) that all other things being equal, more altitude = chevrons displayed higher. There is, if I understood correctly, the misconception. The chevrons are not a "total energy gauge" with a fixed scale. They indicate, in relation to the FPM, wether the longitudinal acceleration is positive (chevrons above FPM) or negative (chevrons below FPM). With no acceleration (nor decceleration), the chevrons are aligned with the FPM. ++ Az' PS: "The thing works as expected. No bug here." => agreed :)
  11. Yes. Dunno what you mean. No.
  12. "restricted weapons are active" What does that mean? Is it about managing weapons quantities at airbases / depots? Or is it another mecanism I don't know (remember) of?
  13. Azrayen

    SVI mode?

    Most probably, yes :)
  14. Azrayen

    NO PSIC?

Yes of course it is :)
  15. It's embedded ;) That's what Razbam's module is. Now, don't get me wrong, those are cool campains ideas. :) I was merely advocating not to get too much in the "realism" thing because our module isn't exactly the same plane (= not the same capabilities) as those that actually fought (ou would have) for India, Egypt or Taïwan: - India's and Egypt's one have RDM+ radar so more A-to-G capabilities but also less A-to-A capabilities (particularly in "hard" environnment such as look-down, jamming...) - Taïwan OTOH has "-5" variant, with a much more modern (and capable) radar than our 2000C, with multi-target & fox 3 (MICA) capabilities; more like the upgraded -5F of FAF. ++ Az'
  16. How much earlier? From memory, it was a few seconds. I assumed the tank light has a timer built-in to be sure not to "blink" when tank is near empty...
  17. Well, it's M-2000C indeed, but not the subvariant we have, actually. 2000C: many customers 2000C RDI: only France and Brazil 2000C RDI S5: only France (Brazil got S4s)
  18. Well, Rlaxoxo, then perhaps you can procure a track to CptSmiley?
++ Az'
  20. OK, was worth a try. I'm upgrading my computer so no DCS at the moment, can't try myself for the next few days...
  21. Yeah... this needs to be updated, it's from the RDM HOTAS (which is was is present in FSX version of the aircraft). The RDI HOTAS slightly differs. Updates have been made in the sim (e.g. notice the new PTT selector and the wider throttle base) but not in the manual (yet). ++ Az'
  22. Azrayen

    Right click?

A lot of harmonization work was already made since the first beta releases (as per DCS standarts). Please be sure you use genuine input files (both in sim folder and in saved games folder) then if you still find discrepancy, don't hesitate to list them (precisely) so the devs can have a look. :)
  23. There is no landing gear alarm sound IRL, this is why ;) The L/G lever blinks, and that's it. OTOH, there is a "LIM" warning that still needs to be implemented, with a sound. It alerts about various limits, including gear down when speed too high.
  24. Well, I'm not sure the circle appears as soon as you press the control, perhaps it's only when the seeker tries to lock the radar target. Is it that important? Should be quick anyway... ++ Az' PS: it's really a slave feature, not simply an uncage. There is an "uncage" mode that allows the Magic to be used as primary seeker (MAV = Magic Veille) independently from the radar, but I don't know more about it. AFAIK it's not implemented (yet?) in DCS.
  25. It may be confused by 2 types using the same engine though...
