  1. Yeah. Lots (modern) air-to-air missiles do exactly that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proportional_navigation Some add a loft maneuver to that.
  2. Yes, for some time now (no change in last version AFAIK); you still want to avoid setting much saturation on those axis, as doing so "break" them. I use keyboard/HOTAS buttons for this (no axis) and it works like a charm. This too is not brand new, been there for some time now. And yes, changes are visible on the scope.

    4 Magic's

    Absolutely.
  4. It's not about real/unreal, Exo7, it's about RDM/RDI. The throttle we currently have in DCS is the old one (for RDMs). The throttle in your pic is the RDI one (from a rear seat, BTW). Its base is also wider than the old one (not visible on your "side" pic). Razbam is aware of that, re-modelling the throttle is already part of the to-do list for some time (but not high priority item I guess, because less impact than other features). And yes, the rocker is dual feature i.e. radio-select + PTT (and as such it is spring loaded to return to central position).
  5. Guys, this was mostly a topic about flight model (pitch) issues. Let's not turn it into a complete bug list, shall we?
  6. Hello AFAIK: no relation between the ampli(fiers) and the radios themselves. My understanding is that the aircraft is equipped with 2 amplifiers, one main (1) and one spare (2). You are able to hear both radios (and other sounds such as alarms, radionav...) at the same time and all the time, on ampli 1. I don't know if ampli 2 (spare) comes with limitations (e.g. "only this and that device"). ++ Az'
  7. By nature, this can't be right. So if your observation is correct (didn't check myself), then you must assume radar vs jammer is still WIP ;)
  8. :lol::lol: Wasn't it .69? :D
  9. Agreed with your list , Aeons :)
  10. This is linked to the POL (police) mode.

    m2000c help

1/ open DCS World manual (located in \DCS World\Doc ) 2/ search "Easy Communication" 3/ as you found the solution by yourself, you will better remember it :) Old story about giving a man a fish vs teaching him how to fish ;)

    m2000c help

Why does it snap back? => because you have easy comms option activated; with this option, you do not have to manage frequencies, DCS does it for you. Anyway, AFAIK no need of radio for ground crew; open canopy is enough (and I'm not even sure it's needed in the M-2000 actually).

    Two questions

Hi tombeckett Straight and simple answer about that: The "line" is the aircraft technical/operational capabilities, within the simulator's limits. Regards, Az'

    Two questions

Hi splash, First, let me clarify a possible misunderstanding: by "we" I meant the general public; I'm not part or Razbam team and can't speak on their behalf. ;) Some threads you linked (thanks!) are representative of what I wrote, i.e.: "We may not know the detailed technical data, but it's not that hard to know if a feature exists or not on the aircraft." Indeed we (general public) know that there exist a Eclair pod (and it was operationaly used on M-2000C), we know that there exist a D2M (and it is operationaly used on other variants, and M-2000C probably has wiring for it given a control was implemented for it in the cockpit). Regarding the HUD topic, my understanding is that Razbam's one is still WIP (due to INS not being there, for example, and this may not be the only cause). Finally regarding the stick and the manual: the manual stands for an older variant (RDM) and the stick (and throttle, BTW) are not exactly the same (IRL) on the RDI. I can't comment on Razbam's data for implementing it, though. Hence nothing in your (pertinent) remarks/questions justify - in my eyes - that the ARMAT should be implemented. For the record, I'm just a simmer, I'm neither in a position to, nor willing to somehow "forbid" ARMAT to be implemented if Razbam guys feel they should do it. I may even try it, and find it fun. :) OTOH, with the best of my knowledge, I can't "buy" the pretences about this being representative of a reality. In short, my position is: Do it if you want, just don't try to sell it as realistic (or bring along harder evidence than what I've seen for now). Regards, Az'

    Radar lock

OK maybe those 2 issues are in fact linked to a same cause. Indeed it looks like related to where the radar antenna looks, and how/if it's capable to follow a target. Let's wait for Zeus to chime in :)
  17. Nope. It's the serial of the aircraft. Also on the fin (both sides). And yes, it should be on French liveries too.

    Two questions

Mhmm? Like what? We may not know the detailed technical data, but it's not that hard to know if a feature exists or not on the aircraft. Agreed with your opinion :) My "problem" with that is that I, too, agree with both conditions you wrote and I quoted just above. And (sadly) those conditions are not met.:book:
  19. Nope, the version if good & you're right, just a confusion (already reported). My mistake, I guess, I spoke of FLs (when it's not!) in an earlier discussion about this Zeus. It shoudl indeed be 2 digits, and (accordingly) thousands of feets.

    Radar lock

Well I remember having this too, at long range; will check again at shorter ones, but can't remember of a problem there. Yep, saw that too; looks like a +/- bug to me. I'll report it to Razbam now that I have confirmation it's not only me :)

    Radar lock

Mhmm, perhaps I misunderstood. Are you talking about being unable to STT lock a contact you already have locked in TWS? That what I had in mind. If you're talking instead about radar loosing lock to easily (without pilot input) then it's a different issue.
  22. Oh. Do we? What about it? Delta wing are quite rigid; I don't think you would be able to see the little flex that might exist (actually talked to crews about this BTW). ;)
  23. Azrayen

    Radar lock

Guys, it may be "normal" (on some cases). The distance where you get a radar spot is > than the distance where you can secure a STT lock. TWS lock seems to be possible at same distance as radar spot; this may be the issue? Would crosscheck with other fighters...
  24. I remember seeing RCS settings in one of the (then) LO files. But this is one parameter only ;) Radar power, antenna sensitiviy, wavetype, ground clutter... also come into play :)
  25. As said previously, not anymore valid. OTOH, you have another cue in the form of a little square. It's barely visible on your screenshot, only partially displayed on the left edge. That's your interception director. Place it inside the ring for the most efficient firing solution.
