ACH-47F - Fictional Mod based on CH-47F
ANDR0ID replied to ANDR0ID's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
V1.1 released, thanks to @H60MTI for inspiring me to take a second look at it... I found an issue with the right side M134 code... it was using the left side muzzle point connector resulting in the crash to desktop. v1.1 adds the M134s on both sides of the aircraft and provides compatibility with the MH-47 attachments mod by @JinxxDCS... if you want to use both mods, ensure you install the MH-47 attachments mod FIRST. Download links updated in the original post. And a short video showing off M-134s on the CH-47F: -

How to video: I'll push an update in the near future to support compatibility with the MH-47 mod... I need to modify the wing pylons slightly to account for the extra width of the simulated MH-47 fuel tanks. -

Yes, to fly it you need the CH-47F module. You should be able to place it on the ground or have AI fly it. I had an AI wingman for the trailer video linked in the first post. Unknown if the AI will use any of the weapons, I have not not done any testing for that. -
This is possible, but no plans to add at this time.

ACH-47F - Fictional Mod based on CH-47F
ANDR0ID replied to ANDR0ID's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Can be compatible with the MH-47 mod, but would require updates to the CH-47.lua to support both simultaneously... possible at the user level, and I can look into making it "backwards compatible" so to speak in the future update. The right side M-134, and ramp M3M, can be mounted, again by editing CH-47.lua, but I left them out intentionally as I suspected they would cause most users frustration from not working properly. -
How to create new weapons without affect game files.
ANDR0ID replied to LevelPulse's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
Depends on the module, things like the SU-25 can have weapons added via edits to mission editor payloads and be usable (launch override). Other, typically more complex, modules generally seem to require edits to base game files to function beyond simply being mounted. -
Bottom line up front: An ACH-47 mod for the CH-47F, download here Background: During the Vietnam War four CH-47s were converted into helicopter gunships, the ACH-47A also known as "Guns-A-Go-Go". Ultimately, the ACH-47 concept was abandoned in favor of dedicated gunships, like the AH-1 Cobra. This mod explores the what if had development of the ACH-47 continued into the modern day, and provides similar capabilities for those looking to have an ACH-47A in DCS. Mod Overview: 1) Adds the ability to mount and fire a variety of armaments on the CH-47F -Nose Mounted 40MM Grenade Launcher -Guided Missiles (Hellfire and APKWS) -Unguided 2.75" Rockets -Air-to-Air Stinger -30MM M230 Cannons -Increases the ammunition loadout for gunners from 600 total rounds each to 1600 each, roughly aligned with the original 1000 rounds per gun of .50 cal ammunition on the ACH-47A (we only have 3 guns on the CH-47F of 7.62MM) -Unlocks the M-134D minigun 2) Requires the CH-47F module to function 3) Breaks integrity check 4) Known issues: -Outboard Wing Pylon Mounted Weapons can be mounted without the wing being mounted. -Wings pylons do not update when liveries are changed - I recommend using either of the "Dark Green" liveries to match. -Use of the wing mounted 30MM cannons prevents the use of the ramp gunner (necessary limitation to prevent crash to desktop). -Cannot self-lase, requires an external laser designator (JTAC, other aircraft, scripts, etc.) for laser guided weapons. 5) Requires two separate downloads/installations (ACH-47F Mod (Core Mod) and ANDR0ID Weapons Pack (saved games mod): -ACH-47F Download Link (extract & install "coremods" and "mods" folder into your main DCS directory) -ANDR0ID Weapon Pack (extract and install "mods" folder into your DCS saved games directory) User guide and how-to video to be provided at a later date. Please enjoy! _______________________________________________ How to video:

Thanks for the note, it looks like I missed the "aircraft" folder when I built the file structure. Download link updated with the correction. Please let me know if you still have issues.

A simple mod to add wing mounted guns (6 x .50 Cal) to the TF-51D. Includes a variety of ammunition options based on the P-51D by ED. Installation into your main DCS directory (note, this mod breaks Integrity Check), typically: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Bind the additional Weapons Trigger command and enjoy. Download link: DCS TF-51D Guns Mod Intention is to help those who may be considering a warbirds module make a more complete assessment before committing and to have some additional fun with the free TF-51 module, no plans to add additional weapons or gunsights, etc. at this time.

Awesome, thank you for sharing. This is a great tool for DCS, would love to try it if I had a MCDU.

OH-6A by Tobsen and Eightball

The M-129 was a recent addition. Note, the firing commands are updated as well... similar to rockets. This video has some additional insight: -
OH-6A by Tobsen and Eightball
ANDR0ID replied to tobi's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
A fix to equip rockets on the OH-6 in multiplayer servers with the warehouse system enabled - Download here: OH-6 Rocket Fix I've confirmed this works on Rotorheads, and should work on any multiplayer server (as long as FFAR are instock at the applicable airfield, etc.) -

Pull request sent for additional light support and modules. It should, just needs to be programed like the various UFC profiles. -

Likely related to how the F-18 is "spoofed" and the other modules using the same cockpit argument values for different functions. -
I'm aware of ED's position... I just don't agree with it and will continue to advocate for the addition of APKWS to the AH-64... especially since its it part intended as an add on which doesn't require airframe or launcher changes. Given the recent announcement of the F-35, perhaps ED is willing to adjust its position here too... APKWS on the AH-64 is certainly reasonable.
-
Would be great to see these added to AH-64 (along with APWKS...) and other helos like Kiowa.

Maybe... I'm not as familiar with the intricacies of the JF-17 combat system as I would like to be... in my short testing the mixed rails would show as either SD-10 or LD-10 subject to how the launcher was defined in the code changes despite having both missiles.
