The laws I am referring to were from a different continent

Oh no, I am talking about "you turn the wheel fore 10 degrees and nothing happens"... I am not going to presume any age here, but... some of us are old enough to remember these. Also, watch older movies. You will see people in them moving the steering wheel A LOT more than you do in the cars today. There was a reason for that :-).

Nope, was a legal requirement.

ESCORT / FOLLOW - option to escort / follow opposite coalition.

Oh wow... That... didn't cross my mind. A wonderful trick, indeed! -
ESCORT / FOLLOW - option to escort / follow opposite coalition.

Can you teach me magic of how to change unit coalition on the fly? Or is it despawn/spawn thing? -

Hm... Can you share the trickery you mentioned? I have one idea how to make it but that probably won't work well. -
Create a tiny dead zone for your stick.

+1; yes, please! this would open up possibilities for some really interesting missions. -
I think the ability to simply export RWR has been removed from DCS with one of the recent patches. At least for F/A-18 that seems to be the case.

Disclaimer: I have no rotaries to try this out. Looking at that cote on GitHub, I thing there may be a better way to handle rotary interrupts. The author seems to trigger the same interrupt functions for any change. Arduino supports interrupts for specific pin value changes (high->low; low->high). It strikes me that this can be used a lot more effectively with rotaries than pure guesswork. I will eventually get some to play with, but update here if this nudged you in the right direction.

What to expect after owning a WinWing product for 1 year
markom replied to Terminator357's topic in Winwing
My offer to receive your broken unit still remains. If you ever decide to throw it away, DM me. I will pay for the shipping. -
My kid learned how to ride without ever using training wheels (fact). I think therefore that training wheels are useless, make kids less able to learn, and they should henceforth be banned, and all parents who use them declared lazy-ass to teach their kids properly. Kids are awful too. THAT is how "no assists" arguments sounds like.

Next step would be to test the actual connectors using a multimeter. It could be a cold solder, or a snapped wire still. Hot glued wires are more common than you think -
I think we're mostly saying the same thing. You may have me mixed up with someone else. I support folks deciding what and how they want to simulate, and not prescribing that they need to be l33t chair flyers to enjoy DCS.

This is a fair question, and what it offers is the step in the right direction. Players would still need to worry about the fuel, and would still need to fly to the tanker, and still remain within some reasonable bubble around it for a period of time, and then poof, the fuel is in. This would help lots of people conquer the whole idea of formation flying. After that is a small step toward the real thing. Think of it as a training tool :-). This is not entirely true, if the mission is using MOOSE with, for example, carrier tanker.

Why do you think I asked the OP to ship it to me? Joking aside, I think your initial and unseen analysis is spot-on. It may be a simple problem to solve with some patience. Warranty option is already out the window, so this is where screwdrivers and allen keys come out. -
Not at all. I'm saying "give folks options to enjoy the game the way they want to". The rest of us can turn up realism to 11 if we want to Because this is not about me and what I want. Hey, if that's how they want to play their single-player missions... why not?

Basket is already magnetic and indestructible... You know, speaking of shortcuts.

There could be other options (for example ripping out their control board and replacing it with Arduino, and programming it to run, essentially, a bunch of buttons). -
I think that having the options for people who want to enjoy the game is great. All the shortcuts if they want. For multiplayer servers, it's a different discussion altogether, but for single player. Fine - let's have A/A automation. Who am I to remove enjoyment from other folks. Those who want to learn will, those who don't will not be prevented from enjoying other aspects of the game. And for the record, this time last year, I had no idea how to refuel. It took me some time to learn, and these days I don't fly missions unless they involve a tanker. I love it. But I am not everyone, and don't expect everyone to be like me.

Have you considered trying to repair it yourself? If you are contemplating throwing it away, please do so in the mailbox. I'll pay for shipping. -
And? So what if they are, in fact lazy and don't want to put the effort in? Should thy not be able to play? Also, if you think DCS offers no shortcuts - haha. When you are preparing for the mission you fly, do you ever walk around the plane and to a physical preflight? In-cockpit? Do you ever rely on pre-programmed radio frequencies? Comms menu? F10 map? There are shortcuts all over the place.

Attack Group/Unit, is not re-attacking the target if not destroyed
markom replied to Mnf's topic in Mission Editor
If you are timing your attacks, consider using "AI push task" as the method. I.e. remove the whole SEAD from the flight tasking, and add it as a triggered command. Have fighters orbit somewhere safe, and when ready, terminate their orbit and push SEAD task. Then you let them do their thing. -
As mentioned above - you're not crazy, and turn off wake turbulence. It's awfully modeled overall, sadly. I'd love it to be better, and probably will be, but for now you're better off with it disabled.

Search the forum for "burble effect". There are probably about a 100 threads about it being broken
