The information is out there, and some of it has been posted here, for accurate locations for military sites in the GDR and West Germany. I just want accurate locations for these installations. If it was a SAM site, at a minimum have a clear space for players to put the correct units. If you use a generic template for the revetments layout, I can live with that too. Some sites changed layout and assigned unit over time, but I think we can adapt if necessary. If it's an army base/naval base/air force base, try to represent it as much as possible. For EWR sites, a generic template is something I think we can live with too, but if possible leave spaces for user placed EW units at these sites to make them targets that can effect missions and campaigns. Also, make sure the assigned military units can use the base. An example on the current phase is Briest, where MI-8s were stationed but almost none of the parking spaces can accommodate them. Lastly, please make sure the water depth in ports is able to accommodate the correct naval ships.

[SKINPACK] 53rd TFS, F-15C, BITBURG AFB, 1984 - RELEASED
Lt.Turbo replied to SOLIDKREATE's topic in F-15C
I'd like to see this made for the F-15E to cosplay as the A or C in a full fidelity jet. -
What type of SAMs are represented by the in-map infrastructure?
Lt.Turbo replied to Nealius's topic in DCS: Cold War Germany
The SA-4s and SA-11s were USSR operated and had static emplacements. The DDR did have SA-2s in addition to the SA-3 and SA-5 site emplacements we have on the map now. The DDR SA-10 site was created and the equipment appears to have been installed, but from what I can tell it was never operational. Both the USSR and DDR operated SA-6s as part of their army and there's some information that the USSR army had operational SA-10s in the DDR. It also seems like the the USSR and DDR air defenses were not integrated in a way that they could share information at the fire battalion level. -

There were 4 SA-5 sites in East Germany. Two in the north controlled by East Germany, one in the middle controlled by the USSR, and one in the south that wasn't quite finished. They are actually fairly consistent in layout between the East Germany sites. Southern unfinished site The USSR site GDR site northwest of Berlin GDR site in the north -
Excellent work. A GDR skin for the CWG map is needed if you still have your paint brushes out.

It might not be a bug, but your values are not correct. This is a problem for most single seat aircraft. You vastly overestimate the likelihood of a pilot being killed when their plane is stuck by a missile. This thread is about the hornet, but lets use the Viper as an example. In Desert Storm Vipers were hit and shot down by an SA-6, SA-3, SA-8, SA-16, and even a mk 84 bomb that exploded under the airplane as soon as it was released. In all of these, the pilot safely ejected. The plane hit by the SA-3 flew for 150 miles before it's engine quite. Another Viper was hit by an SA-3 over Bosnia and also flew for a while before the pilot safely ejected. There's even evidence to believe Scott Speicher ejected from his hornet after being hit by a R-40 from the front. The pilots, across all aircraft, are much more likely to survive after being hit by a missile than you give them credit for. I'm sure the numbers match your targets currently, but it's your target pilot killed percentage that is wrong. The combat records are there to prove it.

For me on the TU-126 none of the prop animations are working and two of the engines do not produce cons. Anyone else have this or have an idea how to fix it?

Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill
Lt.Turbo replied to currenthill's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
This has been answered previously. CH said, "I have yet to find a way to add custom assets to the HTS table. But you can do it manually in flight. Just press LIST, 0, E and enter the HARM ID from the table at my site (for example 528 for the LTAMDS radar). Then go into HTS and choose Threat and select MAN for manually. The HTS will then find your custom ID and you can select the target. Since I'm going by memory, forgive me if I got a button name wrong." The RWR file on his site is just that, for the RWR. The HTS is a different set of files and no one is sure how to edit that without doing it manually in the jet. -
For the missile launch, trying giving them an AWACS and setting their radar use to always as well as the max range setting. I have no idea if that will work, but it might. You can then set up a trigger with a moving zone on the 31's. Set it so an enemy within a certain range makes them turn and go towards a waypoint in the direction of friendly areas. You'll likely have to set them to hold fire to get them to actual disengage. You can set it as a switched condition so once they get distance they can turn and engage again. It'll take some work but it's doable. Maybe someone with scripting knowledge has a better idea.

The AI now considers (to the best of it's ability in DCS) it's chances of survival and success for engaging the enemy. If you have 2 AI MiG-23s going up against 4 F-15s, the MiG-23s might turn and run instead of engaging, even if their mission is CAP. You can use this feature to disable their limited self-preservation instincts and get them to die for the cause.

I was thinking the same thing but do not want to get my hopes up. -
Here's part of the Task Force Normandy AAR that gives you an idea of how they engaged the targets.
-
Just curious, but do either of you have an update on when we can expect these in-game?

It's probably gone in real life now.
