  1. If you zoom in close enough you can make out an ATFLIR pod
  2. USMC Squadrons, specifically VMFA-323 and possibly VMFA-232 have taken ownership of Lot 20’s handed over from USN squadrons transitioning to the Super Hornet.

    LITENING POD

At least two USMC squadrons (VMFA-232 and 323) have taken ownership of former Navy lot 20’s from squadrons who have since transitioned to super hornets.
  4. ATFLIRs are used on the carrier due to (1) Being slightly lighter in weight and (2) The USMC uses the ATFLIR at sea due to being supplied by the Navy logistically. Switching pods does not require software upgrades or changes. When they back to their land bases, they switch back to the Litening
  5. Centerline for the USMC F/A-18’s.
  6. I rebuilt the shader indexes and can confirm the LEX vapor effects appear to be missing, however subtle over wing vapor is still visible.
  7. Great textures. Confirming doesn’t pass MP integrity check?
  8. I want to get this particular manual printed out at kinkos. What is the intended print dimensions? And should it be wire-bound with tabbed dividers for each major section? Thanks!
  9. Good to know. Thanks!!
  10. Will you guys be releasing the 'A' with the "fish bowl" radar and the 'B' with the square-shaped radar screen? Asking for a friend
  11. I have the deck crew mod and it still works after update. Noticed issues with TACAN bearing/range on DDI.

    ATFLIR Pod

I believe this has been asked and answered already. In the real world, swapping out an ATFLIR pod for a Litening may be much more simple than in DCS. I’m guessing it would require tons of coding, etc.

    ATFLIR Pod

By the looks of this photo, you are correct.

    ATFLIR Pod

More advanced or not, the Navy is using the ATFLIR on its latest and greatest F/A-18E/F’s. Here some shots of a Litening pod in a USMC F/A-18A++ from VMFA-314

    ATFLIR Pod

The Marine Corps ONLY uses the Litening pod for their aircraft. Talked to some pilots from VMFA 232 who had nothing but great things to say about the Litening pod.

    ATFLIR Pod

How's that ATFLIR pod looking? (Asking for a friend)
  17. I've shelved my second 1080Ti for now until SlI is a truly supported technology. In DCS, Prepar3d, Ghost Recon...on and on and on, SLI causes more problems than it increases performance. Great marketing tool to get people to spend $$$ on more cards though.

    Throttle

How do I assign the throttle axis?
  19. I’m noticing deck sliding as well, however it hasn’t caused issues yet.
  20. I recently discovered the right vertical stabilizer had the tail code 'TW' instead of the correct WT. Also, I believe the correct placement is for the letters 'WT' to be divided in half by the vertical formation light.
  21. Lol I swapped the part around today, works like a charm.
  22. So I can still lift up and back for engine shut off, so I don’t go to idle in flight and unintentionally shutdown the engines?
  23. How about shutdown and idle detent for engine start?
  24. If I installed the aftermarket afterburner detent, how do I best assign idle/shutdown detent?
