If we do get a 1970s EW picture, I feel the F-4C Wild Weasel IV would fit perfectly. Modified F-4C, extra antenna, extra systems, etc. Not too powerful, got just enough systems to be deadly to SAM sites.

This little tidbit alone makes designing planes for the DOD a nightmare. Every branch calls the exact same thing something a little different then act like you are crazy for calling it something else. Some of the liaisons are pretty chill if you call something by another services name, others will get ticked off.

Im onboard for an RF-4C. It would give me a mission that a solo phantom can excel at. Or an RF-101, because that would probably also mean i get an F-101.

With the Gun on the front, the CG is too far forward, and would require a gear jack to be added as well.

Best practice is to get very good at math inside of 360. +/-180 and +/-90 really quickly are necessary skills for landing at the boat. You have your backup compass ball above and to the right that is useful to a point, but isnt as accurate as your other instruments (ADI/HSI). Being able to read your HSI quickly and set it up with a proper offset takes a bit of practice but once you have it down, youll find yourself rolling out with only a 2-3 degree error which is much easier to correct than rolling out with a 20-30 degree error.

All of the Phantom Models I've made over the years have had the "Fuze Extender" on the front of the bombs as an option, I think it would be pretty cool if those were added to the sim in some way.
