Anyone working to bring this one into game?

Hi Phanatics, I am entirely self taught how to fly in DCS, (No real world experience) mainly on the F/A-18 where you don't really need a lot of rudder to do stuff. If y'all could drop any tips or tricks to know how much rudder is enough for turns, coordinated flight, bringing the nose on target, and other applications. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Ive ingested parts of a MIG-21 after a very close guns shot that caused an engine to cease normal operation. But havent had any wings come off yet due to the issue.

But then it will sound like Microsoft Sam all choppy and robotic. Very boring. I havent had too many complaints since the first week for J-man. I wouldn't mind it if he could target my -65s for me in future. The differences in returns off Fighter sized targets, and Bomber sized targets made me realize I need to get a lot better about spatial awareness off BRA calls from AWACs, and stop looking up if he calls 35k and Im also at 35k.

Ive read accounts somewhere that some pilots did just that. It makes landing the A4 much easier so i dont see why it wouldnt work on the Phantom. I also read somewhere that some pilots would put one engine in burner and use a bunch of rudder. But i doubt that was common or recommended.

You're right, ours cannot. Butttttttt, the bois over at HeatBlur can do the learning for him. And they gave us the ability to play with Mr. Jester if I remember right, and that will probably lead to someone making a mod for him being an ACE. Or just a mod with a new voice actor in the background.

It feels like in an effort to make jester not an "all seeing eye", they made him about the same skill level as a brand new LT right out of the training squadron. It'll take tweaking, but he will get better. Just wait for the Navy phantoms if you really want to dogfight and sling Sparrows.

Ive only been able to fly twice, but I experience something similar with communication coming from jester sometimes 5-10 minutes later with no context whatsoever.

I agree i would love if they would release a metric *********** tonne of FC style modules that likely arent popular enough to get a FF model. Lots of early cold war jets. Then as 3rd part devs come in, they can chose from those and have a base model that already exists.

Yeah but the people who are buying the Phantom want to fly it and drop ordinance with it. Is there an alternative to doing that that isint Warthunder, or a mod with limited servers?

But thats what early access is. You get to play the game accepting there will be bugs, with the hope that they will be fixed in future updates.

I mean, you get more people when you release in early access.

If you choose to set your IFF up incorrectly thats a you problem. I dont plan on getting in that phone booth with you when i still have sparrows.

I thought the most recent HB "Mini Update" had information about this in it.

I understand the Vinyls were delayed a bit. But if they arrive before release, will the album be released online for the rest of us to listen to?

I think thats the wrong conclusion to take home from being off on a release date. Itd be better to go back in retrospective and look at why the release slipped and add that slippage time to your estimate, not just blanket statement "we will never announce a release date until a month before hand is guaranteed"

I dont think constantly calling people "entitled", is going to make them any more patient.

I think the big issue people have with communication stems from both big studio update cycles, and real world job update cycles. Working in software and other fields, it doesnt matter if my work has been nothing but conducting peer reviews for the past 2 weeks, I am still required to give a status update to my boss. Scheduling and contract progress reports depend on this status being known. We have also been spoiled by Friday updates from ED, even if there is no real news there, at least we get a quick blurb from the developer. These developers havent signed a contract with us that requires them to inform us of their status. As much as i would love to see a quarterly status update, even if its just code percentages, there is no requirement for an update.

Not a lot of love for the long nose RF-4 Variants in here.

J/S and K/M are too sleek for me.
