I mean whoever made that graphic didnt try very hard, apparently the F-4C used the AIM-9 Sparrow and the AIM-9 Sidewinder. There is also 20mm gun kills under the F-4D, F-105F, and F-4D/F-105F.

I could see the announcement, followed by 3-4 weeks of videos on the Pits, radar, A/A & A/G then a release within a month of that announcement. And I'll bet we are getting very close to those first tours of our new office.

If i remember right the "Shingles" also have bleed air flowing over them on the inside of the structure, the exit for the bleed air is around the drag cute and the extreme end of the Jet. This creates that awesome detail where the back end of the F-4 looks like it is smiling.

I get that, but for the average joe or jane who want to fly a fun looking plane, who then get turned off by the extreme complexity or difficulty of use. That gets reflected in ratings, and sales. I didnt articulate it well but thats what i was going for.

My only disagreement with that is, Those changes/upgrades were made for a reason, Air crew complained about RWRs being hard to understand in heat of the moment. Or, the muzzle blast causing other issues with the jet. But i think there is a fine line between "Historically accurate", and "Enjoyable to Use"

My life would be complete with the M variant, LGBs, Walleyes, etc.

I feel the same way to a point. I want to learn the Tomcat RIO seat, but having no frame of reference as to the release, I dont want to get halfway into it and drop it all to start learning the Phantom.

I already have a sub-par reputation with the group i fly with for having shot down 2 Tomcats and 3 Hornets by mistake. 2 times due to 120s going pitbull and targeting the wrong person, and 2 heaters that I never got IFF on in a furball. Which all feeds back to my dislike for A/A combat.

But that being said, this is a simulator. Unless someone is gonna create "War Crimes Tribunal World" where I can be locked up for my actions in shooting down an airliner in DCS, I'm not as concerned with visually IDing a target.
