I’ve had similar issues, unfortunately in MP too so no track. It’s hard to reproduce. I tried locking someone, gut absolutely bonkers number on range etc. lock dropped and radar became unresponsive (TDC cursor vanished, could not use AG radar anymore, as it said that AA is in use). Waiting a bit, switching between modes, pressing auto acq. Nothing worked anymore. at some point it started working again as if nothing happens on its own.

I've checked with the eagle - and re-checked with the Jeff. Results were .. mixed and weird sometime. It seems its also dependent on which map you use. I really need to dive deeper into it. I am currently shifting my test setups to PG and continue to check there. First results there were far off what i got in caucasus. Its complicated, it seems.

How to return to Flight Plan mode from Aproach/Course/Bingo?
BigBorner replied to eFirehawk's topic in JF-17 Thunder
You got to Press the FP-A Button again an then select „CRS“. That brings you back to standard FP-A navigation. At least it did in the past. Edit to your edit: That happens for me, too. But only when changing back to CRS from Bingo. It sticks to the Airfield Waypoint. you have to punch in one of your route waypoints. But if i change back from "Approach" to CRS, it also changes back to the route waypoint and HUD + HSD Symbology without having to select a WP manually. -
You can also just switch Datalink back on once TACAN is programmed and TCN boxed. Both will continue working
-
Yes, meanwhile I can do that with the Eagle.

Uboats, Blink twice if you have been abducted and need extraction.

Dear Deka, The Jeff gets heavier by exactly 44 lbs. when you take off the Refueling Probe in mission editor. Steps to reproduce: Take off refuelling probe in ME Have heavier plane in loadout screen. Tested on MT and latest open beta.

I’m building this thing in starfield.

Last time I used tacan (to find an airfield) it was wonky but working after screwing around with it. Only „difference“ in my procedure was that I cycled through the tacan modes after I activated tacan symbology on the HSD. Maybe that helps.

Yeah it’s weird sometimes. And it’s hard to create a bug report because it’s so unpredictable and clear bugs usually really starts to show if you were flying quite a while. However, some things that help me if it’s acting up: - go to air zu ground radar and press target unlock. Several times to be sure. - if the pod doesn’t want to switch to SP, move it around manually with SP activated. It will than swap to SP - mash target unlock while the pod is SOI, that sometimes makes it also behave proper again. - Never switch from IR BHOT directly back to CCD. It will screw up the picture even more than switching from WHOT. -if stabilised on a WP to far away for area track (more than 21.6 nm) and it starts to drift, press target unlock to get it back. -reselect the WP to be stabilised on on the UFC.

There is a Deka Discord?

An Updated test. So far "stealth" seems to be: Smerch All "Missile" Class All Technicals M-60 Outpost Watchtower Some unarmed trucks (Whilst others are not) Attached are screenshots and a reworked sensor testing .miz that i used. idk if new tracks are necessary. agtest.pdf Sensor Test.miz

I really dig the Coordinate picker, the fact the window with all the coordinates stays in F1 view is such a great quality or life feature for punching in waypoints and targets!

Yes, you have to trim more if you release a weapon further away from the center of the plane.
-
Maybe you grabbed the wrong track? I watched it and put it in FF forward to get the juicy part. I was watching how you were looking at AI and the map for 10 minutes or so - and than the track was over.

now that phantom is announced , next will be the typhoon?
BigBorner replied to dave76's topic in DCS: Eurofighter
I`d rather have them take all the time they need. -
I don’t know if it’s only me, but my DCS crashes if I want to watch your track.
-
I don’t know, maybe. Communication so far (release notes etc,) is that this is to test the new missile scheme that ED uses for the AMRAAM.
-
I’ve filed a bug report in the Jeff’s forum. Let’s see what happens

Hello! I dont even know if its the right place to file the Bug Report, as i dont know if Deka or ED is in charge of radar things. However; Some Units are invisible on AG Radar. Specifically: Everything of Category "Missiles" (SCUD Launcher, Silkworm Launcher + Radar) and insurgent pickups with Dshk and Kord Armament (HMMWVEASRIJHADSJ Jeeps do give a Radar return, so i guess the pickups should, too). Maybe there are more ground units with this issue, but i am not really willing to test all of them. Edit: On GMTI Scuds can be detected if moving. Test setup: current OB, MT, SP Placed Units in a reference frame of Units that do give a radar return ( Hangar static object + T80 MBT) on a lofi area in caucasus to avoid interference from terrain, map objects etc. Tried to get Radar returns between 30 and roughly 10 nm, tried to keep radar at optimal angle, used DBS2 highest zoom (10nm indicated). Tracks attached per faulty unit. also the miz. AG-R Test.miz Technical - No Radar Return2.trk Silkworm - No Radar Return.trk Scud - No Radar Return2.trk

I could not test it for the Eagle but while screwing around with the JF-17 AG Radar, it seemed that some ground units (like, Scud Launcher) do not have any radar return at all. I don’t know if this also applies to the eagle. Edit: Thats what I am talking about:

ATTACK FORMAT The Attack (ATCK) format enables sensor contacts to be displayed, tracked, interrogated or nominated for attack using the following HOTAS controls: - Radar Elevation Control and Radar A/S Gain (located on left throttle top) - X-Y Controller (located on the right throttle top) - DTL Rotate and Re-attack Switch (located on the right throttle top) - Air-to-Air Weapons Selector (located on the stick top) - Interrogator Switch (located on the stick top) - Radar Air Combat Mode, Radar Lock/Break Lock Selector (located on the stick top).

There are range markers in the donut it i remember correct. Not that it helps to make it more usable. however, I personally came to peace with the fact that the jeffs gun is only for ground strafing and ending endless „return pre contact“ loops.
