We Want To Hear Your Ideas For A New Map In DCS!
IndyNavy replied to danielzambaux's topic in DLC Map Wish List
With the F-35A coming now to DCS, would it be crazy to see a Bering Sea map with Alaska? Could be used to simulate arctic simulations and defense exercises against the Russian ADIZ. About 78 F-35As operate in Alaska between Eielson Air Force Base & Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. -
Very cool, can't wait to try these.

FCR Terrain Profile Mode (TPM); How does this work?
IndyNavy replied to IndyNavy's topic in DCS: AH-64D
Amazing, thanks @Raptor9 you legend! -
With the early release of the Apache's TPM, has anyone figured it out yet? According to changelog from 2.9.22.17790 it is only Phase 1 with page terrain profile shading only. Phase 2 will focus on C-Scope lines and obstacle symbols. Patiently awaiting for a Wags video to explain this in detail.

I was so hyped hearing Wags talking about NTTR again; I really hope after RC-North on Afghanistan is sorted and Iraq is completed we can see this happen before end of 2026/2027 latest. That would be 10 years FYI, since it originally released in 2017.

Karshi-Khanabad Air Base (K2), known to U.S. forces as Camp Stronghold, was one of the most critical launch points during Operation Enduring Freedom. From late 2001 onward, K2 served as a forward hub for special operations, ISR, and strike packages flowing into northern Afghanistan. Its proximity to key Afghan targets meant faster turnarounds, shorter transit times, and the ability to sustain a relentless operational tempo in the opening months of the war. For a sim that prides itself on historical depth, Eagle Dynamics should absolutely model K2 inside Uzbekistan. It wasn’t just another airfield on a map—it was a strategic backbone for early OEF logistics, airpower projection, and coalition coordination. Adding it to DCS would open the door to realistic mission building, accurate campaign recreations, and a missing chapter of modern airpower history. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karshi-Khanabad_Air_Base

We are seeing this happening to several A-10 pilots on our public server on Afghanistan. First time I ever heard of this bug. We are happy to help provide more data as required @BIGNEWY -

So weird this is happening all over Afghanistan with the A-10s... -
Having this issue currently with sand storms in Afghanistan on the Arabian Sea for Carrier Ops. We use RealWeather plugin to pull METAR data and if visibility is under 2SM + HZ, its basically low viz, Case III operations making carrier ops a nightmare, even during day time.

IndyNavy replied to OnReTech's topic in DCS: Balkans
Very excited! -
I'm eager to know. Balkans would be nice, Wags been talking about Aviano Airbase in Italy. I was born in Rome, so would love to fly around the Balkans. Can't wait to hear more!

Warehouse - getInventory is not getting all items
IndyNavy replied to DJK's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
Using wsType for weapons doesn't work well because it varies per client and is the only way to pull them from the .miz file. With some hackery, we were able to log all real weapon IDs. Got 1,173 weapons (including UH60 payloads) vs MOOSE's ~600. https://github.com/FlightControl-Master/MOOSE/pull/2412
