This map looks OK regarding 3D objects, but the colors and textures on the ground, roads and trees are really disappointing. I'm sure they'll deliver it like it is, as it has been done since Normandy and Syria... The care taken is not the same as Iraq, for example. We're in 2025 I think the dcs customers deserve something much more realistic in terms of fidelity. Stan

On Today's last update, tested on Kola map, exterior view and zooming out makes the canopy and the cockpit disapear. Stan

This map is now Awesome ! Runing dcs in ultra, it become a real pleasure, with photorealistic feeling relief and shadows. Thank you @Raz_Specter for the good work and improvemens !! -
Thanks to you Tom, you show us the way. We worked on both sides: you are lowering the color saturation and I lower the green and cyan on those presets . To be clear, I did this in 2 minutes (ok, maybe 20..) from the original ED files .

Tweaking filters I have noticed that cyan is principal responsable of over saturated green, yellow and also bluein my case (sky).

You can try both of them: Modified LUT preset orange and orange 2 in attached files, just backup your DCS/bazar/effects/LUT folder and replace those two .png files. It works great even on desert maps like sinai, also channel map ...

On ipad, iphone, samsung tv and VR pico4, the blue of the sky gets too much inrensity for me, but I understand what you mean. Modifiying the ground colours doesn't affect sky or water. I can give back the intensity of both and keeping the ground correction. Are you interested ?

You can find LUT's .png in bazaar/effects/LUT. I tweak the saturation curves on a screenshot and then I reproduce those curves on a LUT preset.png Once in the game you choose the tweaked one.

Sss almost nothing on the latest dcs upgrade, for me more demanding settings are resolution, clouds and water.

Also, enabling sss shadows make the trees look way better. I posted a Aerofly FS 4 screenshot on another topic to show sweet and soft trees rendering for exemple.

You can edit gamma on object terrain and trees in Mods/Terrain/ and shaders[...] something like that. Try 0.75 value for trees

Hi, use Reshade. Techicolors shader will help with saturation and light intensity. You can add a little of blue as IR the sky reflects much more "cold light" on environnement. If you fly VR, use OpenXr toolkit to simply tweak RGB and you will be OK.

Kola is the first map without old school repetitive texture. Good point ! Looks very realistic at high altitude, msfs is not better at this point. Finaly, sorry but trees are ugly. I own Aerofly 4 wich is very immersive at some point and looks photorealistical sometimes. Trees are only made of blur low res texturing, and guest what, it is perfectly integrated to the land scape ! Maybe something to work on !? What you think ?
