Get a simple throttle setup so that you can easily move both throttle and prop pitch. You don't need a fancy throttle for warbirds. I use this one. Very basic but works great. I advance throttle and pitch at the same time. The pitch lever is always about an inch ahead of the throttle to maintain the right balance of rpm and manifold pressure. If you turn the Logitech throttle quadrant upside down, and reverse the axes, there is a switch indent which is great for "pushing through the wire boost" for the P-51. I would advise sticking with the Q2 for now and get to learn all the tricks for VR. If you find the resolution to low then you need to supersample. If you are using quest link then I would use cable. Use oculus debug tool (Google how to locate it in your Meta folders) and set super sampling to about 1.5. Set the Bitrate to about 700 Mbps and see how it looks. Once you have a better idea about how to use VR then look for an upgrade. There is nothing perfect at the moment. Don't always assume that the highest native resolution will be the best.

I did something similar a while back with a graphics tablet and got some interesting use out of it. I just positioned the tablet relative to my cockpit view over the MFD or keypad. It worked to a degree. You can also use to track around as well.

That is similar to my setup. I would avoid 4 sticks of RAM as there can be stability issues with the Ryzen CPU. You are unlikely to need more than 64GB at the moment anyway. Another option would be 2 sticks of 48GB. This should be able to run any headset PK. However, if you have not tried VR before please be aware that it is very demanding and you have to manage expectations in terms of quality and performance.

To be fair it is not a film specifically about the Corsair, but it does steal the show. There is also good footage of the F8F Bearcat and A-1 Skyraider. Well worth watching.

Is it tracking with your eye movements? If so then it's working.

There seems to be a performance hit below about 2000ft; FPS drops to about 50-65. Above this I can maintain a steady 72 FPS (VR).

Is there any noticeable difference in DCS?

You can enable this on AMD CPU systems too. I have been using this approach for 2-3 months and have not noticed any benefits with an AMD CPU.

Would a 325, 100mm extension be too much? It would work with my seating position.

I still use this. It gives me a more stable experience than using WiFi with VD. The QP charging cable can be used to charge a powered usb-ethernet adaptor.

Would you advise a longer extension or is 25cm about right?

I haven't got an AB9 yet. It's a lot more expensive than an extension. How is the 250 mm extension with a spitfire or other warbird?

Thanks for the advice. The longest one I can get from this source is 250mm. I have repurposed an old wall mounted angular monitor bracket which is attached to the bottom of my desk. This allows me to alter the position of the joystick and fold it away. I think should work with an extension too. I'll measure up.

Have you checked that your oculus developer account is still active? This sometimes needs reactivating. You can activate it through your phone app.
